| 86 is back and its worth the wait. My one of most anticipated scenes in LN adapted in anime is satisfying. Its nice touch by the director this episode about Shins mental state and how reckless he is. Its build up for the past episodes that makes this sequence better as the episode goes. And we get to see the Lycoris scene and Lena. Its a touching reunion between them. Lena does not know who is the other person on that drone. And Shin knows her immediately that he blurted out "Major". And then its nice the spearhead squad is safe, even Shin smiled that his comrades and friends survived which he relieved of. Its a nice scene. Overall its the best episode of 86 this cour. And even the whole. And this episode is not the end. But its great that 86 is back |

| I don't even know what to say about this episode it was so good in so many ways and I'm just so happy that 86 is finally back 😭 I hope Lena learns that Shin and the other Spearhead members are alive next episode, I can't see why they wouldn't end the season with the reunion/meeting between them. I'm so happy 86 Saturdays are back but now there's only one more before the season ends.. I'm pretty sure they're going to announce a second season in April but I don't wanna wait for more!! At least volumes 3 and 4 of the ln are on their way to me lol |

| Episode was good, though I think they should have applied some pixelation censoring on shins hud (his unit was heavily damaged so that would have been perfectly plausible) to hide lena's face from shin and the audience, the audience would have known it was lena as soon as she spoke with the outside camera shots but at the least it preserves the realism that shin couldn't visually identify her, the hud currently clearly shows lena visually identifiable (even if it was meant for the audience). Side note, I hope the subs for the bluray gets tweaked a bit. When lena introduces herself formally at around the 11:40 mark, I'm fairly certain lena introduces herself as "bloody reina" instead of her full formal name "vladilena". |

| That was fucking amazing and well worth the wait. Too bad the meeting with Lena was cockblocked, it would have been hilarious if she just walked in at the end though, Shin's reaction would have been priceless. |

Shin didn't meet Lena once so although he sees her perfectly through the screen, he can't know who she is. ;) That's true, same as how lena couldn't identify him by his headless reaper insignia that cyclops could. I haven't read the LN so i don't know if it was intentional for him to see her in the source material, but now he has a face to apply a name to, this "mystery" could have been prolonged for a bit. |

| YES, Lena is back babyyyy! Too bad the show had to take an 86 (or so) days brake to give us a conclusion. Nevertheless, the direction in this episode was cinema quality and the "reunion" was something I really didn't expect but probably should have. When will the real one come though, hmmmm... Not disappointed in the end, but still. |

| I hope they get to meet each other in person next episode. Would be disappointing if the anime even delayed this more. Maybe while taking a break before the next missions - a coincidential meeting would be nice to see. |

Assuming that shot from Juggernaut is fired from the distance of 1~2 km and assuming Juggernaut have max speed of ~72km/h (~20m/s), 1 km distance can be reached within ~50 seconds (if 2 km, 1 minute 40 seconds). "How was she faster than her soldiers?" If Lena arrive together with her soldiers, but told them to keep a safe distance away and prefer to inspect Shin damaged spider mech personally to see it with her own eyes, how does that sound? Besides, the last small legion near there are already shot dead anyway. "How on Earth is everyone alive after all of this?" Theo, Kurena, and Anju are not injured when separated from Shin and Raiden and their mech are fully functional, how hard is it for them to use their experience and wipe a bunch of non-boss legions? Raiden injury looks bad on his hand, but not instant death. Kiri protect Frederica at the last moment. And the way Shin mech are thrown away is still possible to survive with some injury because the impact direction are precisely like how a car accident with rear-facing seat looks like. "How did she not recognize him after he multiple times call her 'major'?" Lena only hear Shin call her "major" 1 time not long after she turn on her para-RAID, the rest is Shin monologue. You want every anime to explicitly tell you which part is monologue and which is not? "How can he hear their communication?" The Federation copy every part of Republic para-RAID device (except the permanent GPS tracking device). Because the communication part of the device itself is copied, it should be able to still connect. "He has completely different device that is not capable of detecting brain waves." You mean the visual lips reading sensor that can guess what the other person says? Considering the Federation only get para-RAID recently and they also use armored infantry, wouldn't that makes sense if all of their spider mechs have lips reader to communicate with the infantry when they still don't have para-RAID yet or only available in small numbers for now? Do you realize how minor these problem that you have? Can't you even use your brain to make some initial analysis? Cope harder buddy, we still have a lot of copium here. |
| Damn. It's only been a third of a year, but we're finally back. As expected of that break, the artwork this episode was beautiful.  I mean, just take a look at the breathtaking scenery. |
| BEAUTIFUL. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. One of the best episodes this year imho. I teared up when Shinei teared up. So much weight on this man's shoulders ever since the beginning, having to keep fighting all this time and seeing his comrades fall in battle one by one, leaving him behind. The show really knew how to consistently write Shin's true character and mental spiral up to that point. Lena herself also fought hard all this time for the 86's sake as well as her own, to survive and catch up to them so that one day they can meet again. Toshimasa's direction was so hard to describe in proper words. Everything from the dream sequence to Lena's return to Shinei's sense of relief was arranged so well and the production quality looked very good, if not better. The three months' wait was well worth it. The season finale gonna hit harder, I'm pretty sure. |

| I stopped caring about what happens in the story that much from the LNs and the anime but man, the directing in this episode was stellar. And definitely was worth being delivered after a few months of delay rather than completely rushing through it. It was definitely a good kind of return for a series like this, finale finally being there next week. |
| It was a great episode. I do believe some stuff were added/changed from the LN. I was not a fan of the first part of the speech with Lena's lip sync but it makes sense. I'm also sad that some of Frederica's line were changed. I wanted to see the banter with her, Ernst and Shin. Super glad that they finally played voice of the chord there though. I've always thought that it would be one of the best place to put it yet it felt like the impact wasn't as big as I wanted. Overall good episode but I feel it could have been handled better. Can't wait for the final episode! |

| Finally, this anime is back on air after previously experiencing a delay of 3 months. I was really waiting for the last 2 episodes, and the results were very satisfying. Everything went very smoothly, thanks to A-1 Picture. In Shin and Lena's scene, it was very touching, very emotional. Moreover, accompanied by insert song from Sawano Hiroyuki - Avid with the English version, this song is the ending theme for this anime. Bottom line, it's really good and doesn't disappoint. |
