| I agree with you on most of those point, to be clear. The thing is, those points are some of the things I hate about Sasuke whereas for you (I'm guessing) they're not. But one thing is that Itachi's true motives are not fully known and even if his motives are fully consisted of the things he said in the anime so far, they can still match up to (even surpass) the resolve of revenge. So he also has a reason to focus on -the cliché of- getting stronger as much as Sasuke. About the fight... I don't think that Sasuke would have the upper hand in a duel with Itachi. I know that -most disturbingly- characters in the anime say that Sasuke will surpass Itachi. But S-chan is training for only what, two and a half years? Itachi on top of being a once in a decade genius is "on the field" for a lot of time. So I'm looking forward to a "handhold", or an explanation why Itachi is so easily defeated: "He was in pain and was blind for a year now. Also, he was fighting with only 50%" can be a good one. XD |
| No, no. I see you agree with what I'm saying for the most part. My whole thing about not hating Sasuke yet is because I still feel like he'll drift back to Konoha, and if he has techincally not killed anyone except for S-Rank criminals, then it's still possible. If, however, he jumps the line and goes evil, I'm not going to understand his lack of getting straight to the point and killing whoever is in his way. I think if Itachi has any true motive, it will be that he did all of this as a set up for Sasuke to kill Madara. If Sasuke does kill Itachi (and it looks eminent), I think that Sasuke is going to need a stronger resolve to go after Madara by himself. There's something very personal about his vendetta against Itachi, and I think it needs to be topped (or at least met) with Madara in order for me to feel like Sasuke should still feel the need to ignore Konoha. Back to the fight. It's not just that Sasuke has more potential than Itachi, like everyone says. It's that Itachi just can't see. We've already seen his perspective more than a few times in the course of Shippuuden. Moreover, we've known since Kakashi had problems with his Sharingan that they eventually go blind using it's special power too much. Itachi doesn't seem like he's been avoiding use of the Sharingan like Kakashi, so it wouldn't surprise me if he's been near blind for the past two (or more) years with it only worsening that much more during the fight using the ultimate jutsus of both eyes. |
| that episode was Pretty good. from Sasuke breaking out of the Tsukiyomi, to Itachi using the Amaterasu. overall it was really good., I'm really liking this battle. >:D |

| Everyone, this episode, or fight was not good at all. All they did was stand there, I don't see how anyone would find this fight to be amazing, it is inferior to Jiraiya's fight, Sasuke VS Naruto, the fight with Hidan etc. People have totally overhyped this, nothing special about it at all, except for Itachi getting killed. Man what a shit fight, all of you need to actually open your eyes and see that it was so still, they were like firing fire at eachother. How does that even illustrate to us that Itachi was once someone who would beat anyone who comes near him. Sasuke man I wish he would die. Sooooooooo shit!!! |
| i didnt like the fact that Itachi has problems with eyes RIGHT NOW -_- wtf? this supposed to be the Big battle, the most epic battle, instead itachi is very weak at the moment, thus he is loosing -_- bullshit... i wanted to see an epic fight like sasuke/naruto.. both healthy and strong.... for like 5 episodes or so... instead its just a Below average fight |

| I'm not sure I understand this Tsukuyomi thingy. Why did Itachi show it to Sasuke what he's about to do instead of just DOING IT while Sasuke was caught in the illusion. He would take his eye and than Sasuke would break free and the fight goes on. Is Itachi just playing with him? It doesn't make sense, if he's going blind it would be more logical that he wants to end it quickly. Than that last jutsu of his has to be really powerfull I've had a nasty feeling about Itahi's motivation for some time now, and it's getting worse. After all, he did say "Forgive me, Sasuke.." Ohhhhhh I have such a bad, bad feeling about this! |

| awesome episode, but it would been so much better if the animation was like the previous, i guess the OST kinda covering it up. though itachi kinda were the underdog here, i can't stop thinking that sasuke would be better lost, for the reason that most of his powers he presented to break itachi's tsukyomi and running from the ametrasu was from orichimaru, and he gained orichimaru's powers because orichimaru was weak, though it might be sasuke's plan all alone, it's still not his powers. |

| Pretty action packed episode. Loved the fight scenes. Didn't expect both of them to run so low on chakra this early. But hey that Orochimaru body substitution and The Amaterasu sure consumes a lot of chakra too. Idk but Itachi feels 'weak' or should I say 'sick'? Cause we see him coughing and not kinda going all out y'know. Idk maybe it'll be revealed later. Also Sasuke breaking the Tsukiyomi is just bullshit and plot armour. Kakashi who had the Sharingan for longer than Sasuke and was hella skilled with it and also possibly had the MS couldn't deal with Tsukiyomi but Sasuke does it so easily. |
