Small details regarding this episode: - Rudy and Eris are getting taller with every episode. - Roxy can shorten her spell chanting. Thanks to Rudy she was inspired to learn this. - Roxy sees a woman with a child upon entering her hometown. We see this woman still pregnant in episode 9 when Rudy visited. - Roxy's parents had to learn to read and speak so that they could communicated with their child. It's quiet and no background noise in the village because only three people can speak. - Roxy and Nokopara's scene was similar to Geese and Paul's. With the message that they may never see their families again if they don't see them now. |

Yea, but it isn't going to show the cute part where she meets Rudy as they were trying to get on the boat. Did not notice until I rewatched Episode 5, but Ruijerd said nothing about meeting up with someone he saved in the past and getting a pass to go on the boat. Without that, it looks like we don't see Rudy in Theressa's lap and seeing a jealous Eris. |

Already knew about Roxy's backstory from videos on YouTube and such, still, was wonderful to see a full episode dedicated to it and her. And, yet again, the scene in Roxy's home with all of them hugging, made me cry my eyes out. This anime manages to really hit some emotional highlights, that's for sure!! |

Till now the only significant thing that has happened yet is that Rudeus met his dad. Apart from that, this entire season somehow feels like a filler. It's still season 1, if you were to watch this as a whole then it would feel more completed versus us viewers who had a time gap to wait for more development while the anime was in production though. That actually makes a lot of sense. But still, long time fans should really be given more respect. Nothing has happened so far that will make me want to know anything more about Roxxy, random forest people, etc I'm thoroughly invested in Rudeus' journey, Ghislaine, the fate of his family, things like that are so much more important to me than Loli who exists only because Japan is addicted to Lolis. Good story telling and character writing takes time to unpack. I simply chose to ignore any and all 100 year old lolis in Anime these days. They aren't there to fulfill any part of a story, there are just there to cater to pedos(and God knows how rampant the pedo themes are in this anime). They aren't essential to any story. ROXY CENTERED EPISODE!!! Let's go!! Honestly emotions ran high there. I didn't think Roxy would be a heretic to her own race, being the only one that can't use Telepathy. That must have been so rough on her, especially the moment she discovered it. No wonder she wanted to run away. Her reuniting with her parents was so sweet yet sad. I can't blame her mum for crying after she said she was going to leave straight away again and the emotions that followed surprised me. I legit shed a tear when Roxy broke down and clung into her mother's arms. Mushoku giving us back to back Parent&Kid reuniting episodes and they both have been superb! Oh Roxy, still so pure yet she isn't... Again walking in on Lize having sex with some dude(s). |

Another heartwarming episode this week. We got to see Roxy finally return to her village to meet her parents. We also got to see the Underlying problem and the reason why Roxy is scared of returning to her village. All in all, Roxy's reunion was cute. Heh, Elinalise made an appearance again! |

Harem_lover94 said: While I'm sure Roxy was added to the light novel to meet the lolli quota, MT is special because it takes characters that meet certain archetypes and develops them. Roxy is a pivotal character in a story that will take 5 seasons of anime or over 100 episodes to complete. Were still in the first season and theyre still developing Roxy's character. Yes, shes the token lolli but she has depth. Just like how Eris is the token Tsundere but will continue to grow and develop and change. Thats why this isn't filler. MT is about change, growth and family and were seeing these characters closer to the starting point than the end point. Feel weird to say this after having torched this season in a review before But holy damm does this series not mess arround with subtle character represenation. Makes me wonder how other shows could be if they were a bit more grounded and had this buget, gods, imagine a deathnote from this studio xD Wonderful episode, now I only pray we can stick the landing for the rest of the season without child molestation being the punchline again. |

This show is always so damn good. And it just feels grounded and relatable in a way. Its the pacing really, they dont need to rush the story because every part is just so well executed. Im glad to have this rare gem. Seeing Roxys past was really heartbreaking, Im glad she could make up with her family. |

fast2611 said: It never will be really ever again (There's only a few more scenes in the future that could be at all controversial in like the entire 26 page book series, one at the end of this season, but it's nothing like the early Eris stuff). The more ecchi elements only continue to tone down in the story. In hindsight I think allot of people miss the point of that scene though. Mushoku Tensei more often than not frames to character through a subjective lense rather than an omniscience objective (They handle this through a heavy use of POV shots, Subjective camera shots, and Monologue / sound design. It's pretty textbook). This is odd for anime as most sources that are adapted from manga which are almost always 3rd person / Mushoku however as a LN is written in the first person. So it's understandable why they are directing it the way it is (All films / anime use framing to character to a degree, but Mushoku uses it in excess). On the subject of that direction I love how when Demon God is spoken in Roxy's perspective it's the normal Japanse (this episode) rather than the subtitles like it is when we are following Rudeus as our main perspective. It's a nice touch. Feel weird to say this after having torched this season in a review before But holy damm does this series not mess arround with subtle character represenation. I'm a little bit confused why they decided to keep this chapter in the anime bit entirely skip Eris' Goblin extermination quest and the meeting with Therese, given that both of those scenes introduce characters who are relevant to the story later on. This studio really seems to love Roxy: Shes gotten 2 episodes dedicated solely to her this season. I kind of wish they'd embrace the PoVs of other characters more since that's low-key the highlight of the light novels. |

Finally Roxy knows Rudeus met her parents (and her mother clearly yet understood they love/like eachother) and realized Rudeus and his party were very near going around in the Demon Continent but she missed them by a whisker... It's a good Roxy centered episode with a bit of her background story, hope she can reunite with Rudeus soon. |

The directors wisely I think decided to keep the story in chronological order for pacing. This is one of the reasons every episode feels like 5 minutes. However, they will do an OVA that will cover Eris and another not-so-important character in my opinion. But doing an OVA will be a little like closing the door after the horse has left the barn. I don't think it is necessary and can be confusing. In any case, it will be canon. I would rather cut than have to explain a viewing order like they do with Monogatari. |

We finally get to see Roxy! Her reunion with her parents was spectacularly made, I'm glad she went out of her way to reunite with them. I must say, that horse character said "it has been 2 years..." 🤔😑😅 To think that's how much time has passed since their brawl and he said he has a family already... 😅 This is getting weird, the part where he finally "learned his lesson" by fighting Rudeus' party but he didn't say specifically who made him learn his lesson. Anyway, we got to see Roxy's troubles when she was still a child and her reason for her current situation and I'm glad she finally realized where is her disciple's whereabouts. Now on to the next adventure! arsfugal said: I thought her problem was bigger than that, she can't understand their telepathy? So what? You still have mouth to say a word! Probably a special trait of her kind. Their primary language is to communicate with telepathy and of course her secondary language of her "family" was to talk with their mouths. She felt out of place in her own tribe not knowing how to communicate and befriend with each other, at that time, it was like she was being shunned while she was being stared down by her own kin. It is like being disowned of your very own parents. Imagine if her family and/or other kin doesn't have the language to communicate with the tongue. She was like a helpless child... And, No. I don't accept Roxy getting married to someone else other than Rudeus... 😅😎🤣 |

I'm just saying, it's still great story so far. They never shunned or bullied Roxy but she still felt alienated and completely out of place in that environment that she should feel the closest to given where she came from and what village it is. That made her depressed and she made herself feel like an extreme burden to the family and village being the one kid and person who was telepathically deaf basically, unable to hear or speak telepathically unlike everyone else. People in that village wouldn't just change their lifestyle for her except for the parents who had to adapt to speaking out loud to be able to communicate with their beloved daughter. And Rokkus is the chief of the tribe and must have learnt on his own too for the sake of communications with others outside who aren't from Migurdia if needed for reasons. It's not impossible for everyone but it's not natural there for the sake of one person unless they're extremely close to Roxy. And even then it's not like the parents are comfortable either with speaking outside, especially in such a quietly raised environment. Little factors can create discomfort and feel really off. |

Going by what we have been told and the distance covered it's safe to assume 6 months has passed since the last episode making Rudeus 12. I like how there hasn't been holes in the travel pacing, might not seem like a big deal but soo many shows have failed this when they move from the books to film(GoT is a good example of failing at it). It's taken Roxy a year to get from Wind Port to her home village the exact same time frame it took Rudeus to do the opposite. That said the scale of the land sizes in this show are massive, if the demon continent takes a year of travel to go from one side to the other, the Central continent could easily take 3 or more. |

I can't believe I'm fucking crying again for Mushoku Tensei. We had Roxy reuniting with her parents, and....is it just or me do heartwarming family scenes that goes deeply personal can make me cry. So Roxy is a loner like Rudy, and that she can't speak with her own kind without using telepathy, which she doesn't have. And maybe I'll look in some earlier episodes foreshadowing this, but I guess she also has a history with the Superd race with her old party, thats something to look forward to. That scene where the three of them hugged was amazing, I imagined myself in that position and find myself immediately crying. Mushoku Tensei never fails to make me cry, laugh and be hyped at the same time. And compared to Rudy and Paul's reunion, Roxy's is much more stronger in many levels. Looks like our characters are now focusing on the search for Zenith, Lilia and Aisha. I hope our buffed and possible waifu (ehem) Ghislaine is still alive. |

decent episode for like 99% of the episode good on them reminding me of the girl that loves to have sex is having sex very important.. Roxy from the start was one of the few characters i liked guess uh people with disabilities don't exist in their village while it might seem like a big deal to us it was to her was the cause of serious trauma as a child but at least she made up with her family in the end i always for get...how silly it is that they look so young but are "grown" adults like yeah see you in maybe 20 or 50 years don't know if it needed a full episode on what felt like a minor side story but eh i at least know this stuff about Roxy not that i was asking |

Think of it this way for a second. Forget about the whole telepathy thing and lets use a real world analogy Roxy is "deaf and mute". Her parents learned and taught her "sign language" so they could communicate with her. The village elder also knows "sign language," because he's probably the guy that will have to deal with people who can't "speak." Even her parents talk to each other without using "sign language" sometimes and Roxy can't understand them. Nobody else in the village has any need for sign language. They can speak to everyone in else just fine, and they don't really travel anywhere far away because the outside is hella dangerous. Can you not see how such a situation would make Roxy feel alienated? |

Anyways, was nice to see Roxy again, and with her family, and also get a bit more back story to her.And she's not a Loli that just exists because "Japan is addicted to Lolis",she's shown because it all bears on Rudeus and his further story.Would've been nice if they included the scene above shown by Deknijff though, that would've been funny! I'm now curious about the reason why she's like this. But even if there's a reason, it's pretty annoying seeing stuff like that, especially with monsters.. gets me flashbacks from goblin slayer or other similar stupid anime... It's unnecessary imo, everytime I see a scene where she's present, I get annoyed cause I know it's gonna be some hardcore slut action.. The anime finally turned a bit serious with this season and I really like how it's going so far, the pause from serious scenes could be filled with other funny scenes, like Rudeus teasing Eris(in a Christian way, ofc). It's not funny seeing a random woman getting it from a group of monsters. It really isn't. |

The curse and what it means to have long term stable familial relationships becomes part of her character arc.The concept of curses and blessings hasn't been discussed yet this season, but will start to get touched upon at the end of this season. They're a big facet of the story going forward. |

Out of a million curses, of course that it's a sex curse, it's anime with an Ecchi Tag, obviously it's not gonna be sexual scenes between lovers, it's gonna have instead hentai scenes with monster tag. I should've seen that coming. But still, this could be less annoying if they made her have someone who she likes help her with her curse.. Does the curse also say that she has to do it with multiple people at the same time? Regardless of the answer, the degeneracy starts to creep in new animes recently and I'm not a fan of it. |

Anyway, ignoring that as usual, we got to see Roxy speaking with a horse in a bar and go back to her parents and make up... Saw Eris throw up a couple of times and... Yeah.. You could skip this and the previous episode entirely and you wouldn't miss anything really. for me, the moaning and sex scenes makes mushoku tensei better hahaha maybe there are more ppl like me that like ecchi scenes, that's why mushoku tensei is so popular |

I don't care about being spoiled. And I don't think I'm wrong. It's stupid every time I see it and it won't change. Sexual scenes in anime are becoming more degenerated the more time goes by. |
