People say this series only had good action but I think it had some good philosophy too although nothing over the top. The one thing that is bad is the way how most character stories are fleshed out.

It's also weird how he goes from a normal highschool boy to a special grade slaying jujutsu sorcerer in just presumably 3 months despite having no prior experience.

Maybe because in those 3 months he ingested the strongest curse, was trained by the strongest jujustu sorcerer and only fought against newborn curses or had strong backup like Todou with him ????? And he's not a special grade.

I love strong, brave and independent women........until the only time they can't carry their own shopping bags :)
I'm getting tired of this stereotypical running gag where strong, brave independent women makes the guy carry all of their shopping bags.
C'mon Nobara, you're a strong independent woman. Help yuuji carry half of what's "yours" your strong independent hands are free.
I don't know if women actually do this shit cause it's pathetic. Oh it's supposed to be comedy.....pffft. I'm waiting for my laugh, hopefully it will arrive by next season.

Just finished this and overall, pretty good.

But that Aoi, or whatever his name is, was really annoying. # -_-
He kept going "My brotheeeeeeeeer!" And that delusion
of him knowing Yuuji since middle school...ugh...

He's the type of person I'd want to punch if he's in front of me.
(If I didn't fear my hand breaking into pieces, that is.)

Well, it was pretty funny or rather satisfying when
he was intentionally hit with the baseball. ROLF!

8/10...almost dropped to 7 because of Aoi though.

Oh, that refreshing sense of closure. Somehow just a bad or even crazy anime is easy to watch from start to finish, but one big cliché is almost impossible to endure. I think it's because crazy-tier anime tries to be original, at least it presents an alternative view of anime in general, if the author was a weird person with specific interests, then his work will also be weird and specific. So it's easy to imagine what kind of person created an outstanding anime in a good or bad meaning. But who is the author of JJK then? While I was watching the anime, I kept thinking that the author is obviously a big fan of teenage sitcoms, so he decided to make a typical amateur fanfic about shounen in genera by simply copying most basic tricks and gimmicks. Of course gum-tier anime is nothing new and even my own complaints became old because I was disgusted by My Hero Academy already many years ago, so JJK is secondary in that too.
And now I'll be watching a really good anime, that will easily fit into 11-26 episodes and will packed with a plot (here and now, not like in JJK - "maybe in the future" TM), well-developed characters (not 1 minute per one secondary character with flashbacks), funny jokes (not a worthless clowning at a circus after a fire). It's kinda laughable that even the MC from My Hero Academia was more developed as a character after the first season than JJK's cheap reference on Shirou from Fate/stay night combined with Ban from The Seven Deadly Sins, both were pretty weak characters themselves.

this was fun, some parts got a bit boring but I wish there was more shown about sukuna. anyway if they release more i'll watch for sure.
“There is something in this world which no one has ever seen.
It is soft and sweet.
If it is spotted, I'm sure everyone will want to have it,
Which is why no one has ever seen it.
For this world has hidden it quite well, so that it is difficult to obtain.
But, there will come a day when it is discovered by somebody,
And only those who should obtain it will be able to find it.
That is all.”

I give it a 6/10. Didn’t have much interest in most of the characters and the humor throughout the show was a big miss for me. Animation and art style were nice though, I’ll give it that.

Yeah this show absolutely blew me out of the water.
Didn't peter out towards the end, instead kept the momentum with two fantastic ending fights. Not overhyped in the slightest, this show deserved it. My favorite characters are nobara, itadori, Maki, and nanami. But I love this whole cast. I'll probably end up reading the manga because I loved everything in this episode 7 and on.

hu didn't expect the hinting of rape to pop up in this show. Gatta love anime logic in which pain reaction isin't shown much. I mean she fucking stabbed herself 3 times and showed zero reaction to it during and after. Nice to see itadoris reaction of killing something that actually can feel sorrow and im guessing when they face the last bro it will come up again.

All in all the show as pretty good nothing super amazing, but fun fights and enjoyable characters. Also nice to see the voice of marco diaz land another good gig.

if you watch the ED carefully, you'll see this scene of Yuji filming Nobara who's struggling with all her bags. So this is obviously her taking revenge against him for filming her and not helping, hence why she wasnt making Megumi hold any bags since he wasnt involved.

when ur in a fight, the adrenaline can numb the pain. Plus i doubt the pain of stabbing herself is worse than the decay technique. Also, jjk sorcerers are all crazy bastards. Im not surprised pain doesn't hinder their ability to fight.

Great final episode for a good anime. The animation for the fight was top notch, good emotional beats, and a good setup for the future. It was a strong ending; hopefully it's a sign that the continuation of the anime will be better then season 1.

The two brothers got me, they really did. When the older one started crying in response to his younger brother's death, and Itadori apologizing before the final blow... fuck me that got my tearing up. For how much I loved Attack on Titan's character themes, not even it resonated with me in quite the same fashion Jujutsu has. It's weird to be hit so consistently by a shounen trying to teach moral lessons and entry level human philosophy again, but it's done it all series long, every time Itadori has to question slaying a human[oid].

Jujutsu Kaisen reinvigorated my love for the tried-and-true classic shounen formula I fell in love with as a child and rekindled in my early 20s. Wonderful, wonderful stuff. I've been itching for a long running series to follow in bursts much the same way Naruto held my attention for most my youth, and it seems picking up this one from where the anime left off is the way to go.

yuji immunes to poison? Nobara regens like immortal object?

the power scaling system is so fucked up..

Damn, this was one hell of a finale, and I absolutely loved it!

The fight that involved Nobara and Yuji fighting the two younger curse brothers was a very enjoyable fight to watch, and MAPPA really went all out with it! We got to see Nobara and Yuji being pretty badass during the fight as well, and I loved it!

It was also nice seeing Maki, Panda, Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara being recommend by Todo and Mei in order to become first grade sorcerers. Overall, I personally thought that the show had likeable characters, great fights, a simple premise that was likeable to me, and was very enjoyable; I would give JJK an 8-9/10. Definitely excited for the JJK 0 Movie and the second season!

What a show. The animation when Nobara used hairpin was sick. The main trio has great chemistry, actually most characters in jjk work great together.

The only reason I’m giving it a 9 is because of pacing issues in a few episodes and the story isn’t mind blowing. Otherwise, jjk gave unforgettable fight scenes, incredible OST and good comedy. Haven’t met such a good cast of characters in a long time.

Fushiguro's fight returned to just working off being cool like most of the earlier battles, which is disappointing after the Exchange Event focused more on abilities and strategies but it still looked cool so it's not like it failed in that regard. Plus, unlike previous battles, that fight/episode was supported heavily by more insight into Fushiguro.

Tbh megumi's fight is more about his character development and how much he grew from the beginning of the series rather than just looking cool.

Right off the bat, I feel like this fight is going to be insane for those two and teamwork will be the key to victory

Holy shit they're insane when it comes to their own talent, Nobara being such a badass that looks like she even has tattoos on and just bringing the pain to the enemy even though she gets it herself, And Yuuji's capabilities in fighting is just splendid to see his overall perfect performance those finishing blows as well it's all too good myself as well hate when pieces break Mahito it's just annoying

Yuuji saying sorry to Eso reminded me of Tanjiro with pure intentions, all in all, Sukuna just straight up ate the finger they got outplayed by him back there, lol Nitta-san giving them a piece of her mind cute, That ending was a very nice touch by MAPPA I must say I applaud them for being this good, Yuuji dropped an item well RIP to him.

This series was all in all a great watch and an entertaining one, The comedic timing was always nice and even Yuuji and Nobara had fun with it alongside Gojou who's one of them in this, This was a very pleasing series right from the start even the fights were so badass it's just perfect this is a solid anime.

That's fair, like I said it is supported by the character insight into Fushiguro.

Most of that development was capped off by him deciding to fight instead of going for his suicide victory option, once the fighting actually started it was just seeing the fruits of the labour for said development, and that just focused on how hype & cool he was once he decided to fight & win. Which isn't inherently bad, I think JJK succeeds because it knows how to effectively be cool, I just don't find it that interesting myself.

I just always prefer my battles to be more tactically engrained, which is something the series started doing effectively during the Exchange Event arc, and returned to with Nobara & Itadori's fight.

Finished rewatching the season, and I actually liked this episode and seeing Nobara just annhialate everything on sight. The one thing she's actually memorable for this season, finally having her moment. I actually found an improvement to this season since I hated it before, and now I only find it below-average. I still am not a fan of the characters, the comedy and some of the storytelling/power-scaling, but some elements there did get better on me, fights were cool (despite some villains making it boring enough at times) and except the first ED, I liked the rest of the music in general.

Might go with a 4/10 for this season, maybe could drop if I'm feeling a bit less generous after a few days, but I'll go with my gut for now. Some entertaining parts here and there for a mostly subpar, flat and safe season. Animation does not carry everything for me, so beyond MAPPA being good, I wasn't too impressed but at least I don't passionately hate it like before. Binging it did help a little.

Decided ride the bandwagon and watch JJK. Well it was definitely good and prob worth the watch, but nothing like holy shit. Just some other shounen-type anime based on its own theme.
Also firstly went to check couple of chapters to see if i even will be interested in the first place and it wasn't half bad. And gotta say the manga already looks a bit outdated which is the great animation really shined. Some fights were so pleasant to watch which really enhanced the experience.

First thing, about the pacing. Sometimes the things are happening so fast and just suddenly stop. Also the transition between group battle arc and last arc felt so random, or rather the scale between those arcs. Like the significanse of the last arc feels so low in comparison to "battle" one. And also the way Kugisaki got so op should be again for the weird pacing (i assume she became kinda op or was supposed to be seen that way after last episodes).

Would've definitely enjoyed it more if liked the characters more, as obvious as it sounds. Yuuji - typical stupid mc with some cool moments, other than last episodes don't even think Nobara had much screentime and it was also not the best, Fushiguro is okay too. Pretty sure everyone likes Goujo Satoru and so am i, but something feels lacking ... Really like Maki, and not to point only op characters like Miwa =/
The favorite is Nanami, Tsuda Kenjiro delivers! Dainsleif!

The worst part, which really was noticeable, was comedy. Felt literally unnecessary and most of the time just breaks the flow of the story. Also some jokes felt like from 10+ years ago. On top of that there was the aftercredit minute+ section, which in sum gives around additional 12 minutes. I assume it was to prolong the show as much as possible, really shouldn't have wasted the time to watch half of them.

Overall it was enjoyable. prob gonna read manga after cause kinda invested in the story. 6/10

Too overhyped. It didn't live up to the expectations.
It felt like any other generic shonen, I would probably had given a 7 but Mappa's animation was really good, so 8/10 is good enough I guess.

I'm amazed that this turned out to be a legitimately, all-around, good battle shounen.

Top tier combat animation combined with thematically-appropriate comic relief, no gratuitous ecchi whatsoever, and no pure gimmick characters (even the panda has a serious backstory and personality).

My only complaint is how the 'sister school exchange program' concept was presented. You'd be hard-pressed to come up with a more self-destructive/idiotic way of having the two severely underpopulated schools interact with each other.

So, final verdict on this anime so far...

I thought this series would be a seasonal drop in the water, but it's a giant potpourri and love letter to everything me and the author like about shonen battle anime/manga, with enough direct influences to make something almost wholly original.

Show verdict so far...

8/10

I finally finished this anime and what can I say, it was between okay-ish and meh so I'll just say that it was average for now, just the usual overrated anime but we have plenty of those in MAL so I'm not surprised, just another overrated anime in MAL's collection.

The only good thing going for it was the action scenes, everything else was freaking average, the characters, OST, story, monsters, atmosphere, lack of emotional moments, lack of good hype scenes, etc... it was just average and of course, it has the thing I hate the most in animes, an overdose of forced comedy which I freaking detest, I simply dislike these type of forced comedy, for this same reason I disliked FMAB and Demon Slayer, the comedy of those animes are on the cringe side and this anime is no excepetion.

So yeah, nothing more to say about it, I'm not looking forward for a season 2 but meh, I'll still watch it anyways just for the action scenes but I really don't care if it takes 3 decades for the 2nd season.

My final rating on this anime:

6.5/10

Okay, I got surprised that Nobara got to do something even though it was some pseudo-suicidal thing and needed Itadori help but it is better than anything she did so far.
I clearly didn't paid attention when the show made the distinction between "killing and "exorcising" a curse but is not like I care about this show anymore, just how Megumi and Nobara are having this very important conversation of no wanting to put a burden on Itadori forgetting Sukuna can talk to him (once in a while it seems) and tell him exactly what they don't want him to know lol but Itadori doesn't have to worry is not like those two can figure it out Sukuna can troll Itadori anytime he wants which they literally saw when he ate that finger oops. This show started being enjoyable but it was just nice animation! and a bad scritp with a bunch of characters that I ended up not caring about.

I loved every second of this final episode. Itadori and Nobara were both absolute amazing, even if I think Nobara and the the way she fought was the highlight for me. Interesting little story behind the Cursed Wombs: Death Paintings and how they became cursed objects. Some pieces of the story are missing, so I wonder if this will have any relevance in the future.

Nobara was crazy. Without thinking about it for a second, she used her doll technique: Resonance which looked very painful, but definitely caught the brothers off guard. Like she said herself, without a doubt she was the worst enemy imaginable. Both Itadoris and Nobara's black flash and the way MAPPA portrayed it was badass. Again, I noticed how much I like the more crazy woman lol.

On the other side it was sad seeing Esou, how much he cares for his brothers and then the sorry Itadori before he killed him. That was also the reason why he felt so miserable in the conversation with Nobara afterwards. Megumi and Nobara handle things more pragmatic and don't affected by killing too much. Itadori is different, but maybe he learn handle it better in the future. So Itadori already has a seat in Nobara's heart? That's really cute.

Lol at the scene where Sukuna just casually ate one of his fingers. Besides the little praise towards Megumi we didn't see or hear anything of him, so I really was expecting it.

The call between Gojou and Utahime also showed how careful they have to be, due to the spy they still couldn't identify.

Both Megumi and Itadori understand the consequences when Itadori eats one of Sukuna's fingers, but want to keep it to them self to not worry each other. Shows again how much they respect each others feelings and how much they care for each other.

Todou and Mei recommend Itadori, Nobara, Megumi, Maki and Panda for first grade? Oh boy that's great news. Especially Itadori and Nobara will freak out if they hear about it. Secret mission with Gojou? Maybe this will be something seen in the movie?

Anyways. Great season and a very smooth episode to end it on. Enjoyed it a lot and had a ton of fun. Characters were very unique and I loved the main cast. Story obviously isn't fundamentally new, but that also doesn't mean it's bad at all. Especially the fact that our main character Itadori already has a goal is something I actually prefer in this scenario. Even if it was later than expected, I'm glad I finally picked up Jujutsu Kaisen. Now with the upcoming movie I definitely have something to look forward to :)

Ehhhh, I don't know what to say, mixed feelings about the show, don't get me wrong MAPPA did an outstanding job even more so than usual and the fights were pretty hype but I feel like nothing really happened in 24 episodes, the characters are fun but the only ones that stood out to me were Nanami and Toudou (special mention to Miwa just for being so hot and have a cute personality), I didn't like any of the ED and OP either but that one is as subjective as it can get.

I guess I'm just glad that shounen shows are having this much quality thanks to ufotable, MAPPA, Bones, etc.

But honestly all this show made me want is for HxH manga and anime to continue, because I couldn't stop thinking about Nen from the first power show in this anime.

Damn that was one badass finale.

So the 3 death paintings or cursed wombs are actually human (somewhat at least) cause they were born from a human.

Also, Noritoshi Kamo is the guy from the clan of Noritoshi the blood manipulator in the school event. He created the 3 death paintings by raping that poor lady.

Kugisaki went overboard! Her technique came in clutch. Also, she looked pretty darn badass. She even landed a black flash.

Welp Yuuji ate the finger they just got lol.

Utahime looked cool in that new outfit.

Panda, Maki, Megumi, Nobara, and Itadori got promoted to rank 1 as sorcerers!

Well I hope the JJK0 movie comes out soon

Nice episode .especially that hesitation to kill that curses is very touching.

as for the final verdict
This plot is not interesting for me. It was just ok .felt like a generic shonen. I have no attachment to characters. characters are shallow as puddle. Nobara was insufferable at times. But it was really a fun watch.
