Interesting first episode but I feel the constant mentioning of "you're just an ai" felt a bit forced. Actually a lot of the exposition felt a bit forced but hopefully that will die down in the next few episodes

This is how dark people expected Sigururi to be lmao, though I personally enjoyed Sigururi.

This was a pretty great premiere, I always dig this kinds of technology and AI types of shows, though that still depends if it can keep it's quality until the end. So far so good though, I am really liking Vivy. Didn't expect to get a massacre right at the beginning, with happy music to boot, that was very unsettling. So AI has evolved drastically due to that AI naming law which allows the AI's to gain rights. Damn, the Detroit Become Human androids would love the sound of that.

The professor in the beginning was probably the one who made Matsumoto teddy bear. I wonder what that professor's relationship with Vivy was and how Vivy saved him. Well, glad this is a double episode premiere, onwards to episode 2.

The best premiere this season thus far. As expected of Wit Studio, art looks clean and technological aspects really stand out. I hope the series goes for a more dramatic route including fantastic OSTs to accompany the great visuals. Loved the piano piece in the end!

Didn't knew WIT was realeasing another show until I noticed they were tweeting a lot about it yesterday. And so far, this show is the rare ocasion I don't really have a first impression fully fleshed out. There's definitely a lot of different elements in the story that could either make this have great or mediocre quality. I'd say I was definitely entertained after this 1st episode, but anything that clearly tries to have a serious plot will do that for me after watching a mediocre/childish battle shounen like Jujutsu Kaisen. My main worry is that I can't really see how this would end in a remarkable way. Probably due to the overamount of elements the story is trying to tackle.

Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song - EPISODE 1

WARNING: I decided to write this here without seeing episode 2, so as not to get confused in my head, so if something I say here is answered, I do another post in addition.

-

At first, the anime shows you Nierland, a park that is being attacked by an apparent AI rebellion. However, it does not take long to show a scientist, in which he regrets about and something and sends an AI straight into the past.

With that, the anime returns to 100 YEARS IN THE PAST and explains to us what is Nierland, which is a complex theme park where the main attraction is AI. In this, it shows the birth of the first autonomous humanoid AI called Diva (or Vivy, as it is later called), which exists to fulfill exactly one mission: to make everyone smile through music. Unfortunately, the park still lacks popularity, so normally its concerts within the park do not reach any audience.

Diva (or Vivy) has as its primary objective to make people happy through music, but lives in a constant sequence of failures. A little girl, however, supports her and says that it is possible to reach the "Main Stage" if she sings with all her heart.

Finally, after a while, an AI of 100 years from the future called "Matsumoto" appears, explaining to Vivy about her duty to fight prevention with a war that would unfold in 100 years, giving her the mission to correct the situation. story in a project codenamed "Singularity". Obviously she doesn't believe it, but it is after showing Vivy about a murder that would happen to a guy in the park that she passes by, she believes. A bomb would explode and end up killing a guy who is important to the change in the story, so Vivy saves him.

Matsumoto is an EXTREMELY advanced AI, capable of easily invading Vivy's systems, in addition to being able to hide its presence for virus scanners. Even though he is an AI, Matsumoto is completely full of personality, being sarcastic and hyperactive, being a great counterpart to Vivy's cold and soulless personality.

Later on, Matsumoto explains briefly about his duty and Vivy's duty. Basically, in the future, AIs have evolved in such an explosive way that it will be necessary a catalyst for that, and based on this principle, the "Nomenclature Law" was created, which, being very direct, grants human rights to AIs. Much of this would happen after the murder of Yoichi Aikawa, who was the crazy deputy that Vivy saved. The bomb in the park is a warning, the murder is going to run for real tonight.

Vivy Matsumoto's journey begins now.

- What did I think of? (Based on only 1 Episode)

Slow and semi-complex. I do not believe that the plot will extend more than what was mentioned above, but this first episode presented an attempt that gives this impression that it is complex. I believe that there was a lack of balance of information and use of the chapter, since it was barely possible to begin to have any feeling of closeness between the author and the protagonist, Vivy.

The lore is very good, and this Sci-fi footprint always fascinates me, but the point is, what does this anime want to show? Is it a normal musical? Is it a war? And the two? There is no way to know yet, but I have an idea about.

I believe that the anime will make a sentimental approach to AI x Humans, and in this one he will use the weapon that is most capable of reaching people's hearts, that is, music! Vivy will be the spokesperson for this relationship of coexistence, and of course, at the same time that it fights this terrorism embedded by another against part of the plot that would be war. The fact is that, yes, it is a different and interesting premise, but let's see if the staff will be able to maintain the consistency of two VERY important factors for this type of story, which would be plot x enjoyment. It's no use having an incredible story and being boring to watch.

The animation is IMPECCABLE, and some close-ups are just magnificent! I imagine how beautiful the animation will be when we arrive at key moments in history.

The soundtrack is incredible, combined and passing the atmosphere of the place very well.

Highlight here for the ambience, which was what most jumped my eyes. I LOVE FUTURISTIC REPRESENTATION, whether in any type of media. Show me how creative the team behind this project is.

Anyway, I really liked it. I'm just afraid this anime will become tedious in the long run, but I don't think so.

Tbh: I did not expect it to be that good. At first I didn't even wanna give it a try. Cause Wit Studio seemd to be boring with Kabaneri (other original work). Still good at adaptions - when the source is good. And for Great Pretender which was set in a modern world.

But some guy who also worke on Re:Zero (okay I guess he really can't be blamed for the source material) and the thing with time travel (did not like Steins;Gate that much) ... had my expectations pretty low.

I mean: There are also some other shows that had a female char that seemed like slow/boring SoL with tons of boring stuff. (Dropped Violet Evergarden early.)

But here: It seems promising. I guess we won't get too much focus on time travel and logics - and the guy just uses the info from the future and they let the time pass normally. (Hopefully not too much skips ... I'd prefer to see good side chars and not just jumping through the years with minor chars disappearing or growing too old + dying of old age.)

+ there was action already in episode 1 + the deeper background plot. (I feared they would start some SoL show and talking and stuff where only in the last few episodes something really happended.)

The ending is great.

Great episode, I'm very interested on how the conflict between the AI and Humans came to be. Also the animation is just stunning, that's what I would expect from a studio like Wit. I like the protaingist and Archive, so the characters are in good hands as well. Very excited for this series to develop, has a lot of plot potential. And a cool thing I realized is that there is a possibility in the future our world will look a lot like this, with all this advanced tech and stuff; as well as AI popularity growing.

I really liked the opening! I'm honestly looking forward to how things will develop, right now its still a really good premise but I'm not 100% invested in it. Yet.
I have a feeling I'll end up loving Vivy!

She's about to die

Is that Vivy?

Wait, what? I NEED ANSWERS!

Yep, I believe it!

Ohhhhhhh, that explains it!

Awwwwww

Such GORGEOUS SHOTS!

What happened?

No one came :(

She saved him!

GORGEOUS SUNSET

I'm not entirely believing this. It just CAN'T be that simple. I don't trusth the teddy bear 100% either.

I want to know too!

She saved him, twice!

Really good first episode, solid 8.5/10

The starting of the anime is really cringy like I asked what's going on over there. I can guess that in 100 years into the future, there will be a condition where the evil AI will go on a rampage and murder all humans. Covering NiaLand with bloody scenes everywhere.

Ahhh, this is really interesting. Looking forward for the next episode that is released immediately. Especially it was made by the same author of Re:Zero, a very popular isekai anime.

Of course we did. But c'mon, novelty is nearly impossible at this day and age. Black Clover is called "Naruto ripoff", "Reincarnated as Slime and Reincarnated as Spider", Sword Arts Online and Log Horizon" ......etc.

Nevertheless, the show looks promising.

While I found the episode itself interesting and left me wanting more, the same can't be said for the themes of the story. The idea that to stop the AIs going crazy in the future Vivy/Diva needs to kill them now is already pretty suspect. Having that start by apparently attempting to stop the passage of a bill that would give AIs some human rights is something that makes me incredibly uncomfortable, especially with what is happening in the US right now with regards to voting rights.
I'll give it one or two more chapters to see what happens, but I'm not really a fan of a story that is explicitly about dehumanizing a group of people and playing that off as the good, moral option.

Vivy bit like Lacia, hopefully not turn out like Beatless.
Navi's great, and new bear's snarky but talks hyperspeed.

I started so much anime over the weekend. Interesting premise, I think I'll continue this. I like music + sci-fi combination.

So this is gonna be like if Eve from Megazone 23 (a good AI idol) faces off against Sharon Apple from Macross Plus (an evil AI idol), well evil AIs in general, but it'd be interesting if she meets the "evil descendant" on the main stage that the bear talked about.

Terminator but an idol show... ok...
