The first few episodes of this were quite comedic, they reminded me of something IRL Later episodes went full on Ousama game but without giving any character to root for or- The chosen scapegoat(s) of the bunch remained plain even after they were given their backstory episodes. The concept of the show is not entirely terrible but they chose to cheese it in the last few episodes. Scary things become cute, unrelated entities are given roles much too important for them, characters who constantly flip between wanting to leave and stay, just to name a few. As previously mentioned the ending is unsatisfying, they imply there's sequel fodder yet there's not even an OVA to nicely wrap up the story. Ousama game at least has a source to turn to, this is an original work. And it doesn't help that most episodes were relatively boring. Yes I am indeed implying Ousama game is better than this. Ignore this, watch Ousama game instead. It's more interesting, more thrilling, people who do things actually get karma'd, and there's more where that came from. Where this came from there's no more. It didn't even live up to its comedy gold reputation. It's not outrageous bad like School Days but is definitely disappointing. |
