| LOL Ending!! I was expecting it since it's one of those infamous endings... Anyway, I freaking loved the charge Maka gave the Kinshin in the end, one of the coolest scenes in the whole series, together with Black Star first fight against Mifune. In the end, a pretty poor series, even for shounen standards. |

| The series on the whole was good, although I can't say I was too pleased with the "we'll beat him with our courage!" solution. Is the manga worth reading? |

| The ending kind of disappointed me =[ I expected something bigger idk ... The courage thing was quite lame ... and the troll subs made it even worse , even so excepting the last episode it was a great series and i'll give it a 10 :) |

| It was great, but would have been fantastic without the expected bravery stuff (although i loved the face he cracked). I give it a 9/10 because i love the characters, animation, and basically the way it's told. But it needed a better ending. I can pray that they'll do a Brotherhood type thing with it and make it again with 100 or so episodes and no filler or dragging it out. Either way i'm reading the manga. |
| Uhm... Good ending, I guess. Not great, but good. I liked when she turned into a weapon, however the courage thing, I'm not sure. We can always hope for a continuation of the content release in manga, to get anime adaptation! 9/10 for the overall series! :D |

| i would have prefered it if make would have used soul as a mega big overpowered scythe to kill the kishin and cut the whole barrier up in one blow so that everyone could have seen it :P |
| Alright, so let me just clear something up. So... Maka alone, beat the Demon God, the Demon f**king GOD, by... punching him... in the... face...? This series pulled a Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood on me. This is what happens when you make the last "boss" way too OP, because now you have to think of a really stupid way to kill that shit off. Overall, sick series, pretty crappy ending. Going to follow the manga though! :D |

| Really stupid, stupid ending...i mean this show was probably a 9 for me before this final episode...I like Maka as a character, I liked the plot, even if it got a bit nonsensical towards the end, but this ending was just bollocks...Nonetheless, it was a very enjoyable show and I agree that the quality fell off towards the end, probably should have been a mid-twenty episode show but despite that I still enjoyed every episode (other than this one) and Soul Eater gets an 8/10 in my book, which is a good score for what was a massively entertaining show... |
| I thought the final fight was extremely lame, it reminded me of some hackneyed Digimon finale! Courage was all they needed to beat him, huh... Then he turns into a wuss! What happened to the disturbing and sinister bad guy from 20 episodes ago? Now he just whimpers and spouts existential nonsense! BUT HEY at least Shinigami-sama is alive! Hands down the best character of the series imo! I did like all the small clips during the end credits. I wanted an extra wrap-up episode to be about that! And even though i only started on this anime 2 months ago i still found the ending song nostalgic. Nice touch! Finale gets 3/5 Entire series gets 7/10 The first 25 episodes were awesome, but something happened during the midpoint where it went from GREAT to just being OKAY, it became almost a chore to finish it. I'm also annoyed that the main goal for the show (BECOME A DEATH SCYTHE - BECOME GOD) are never paid off! |

| Although I usually prefer anime staying loyal to manga and thus dislike semi-popular shounen serials that simply gotta filler it up or change the ending, I don't think this was crap of an ending as most do. The thing that's pulled through whole series is Maka's fear, mainly of death, which made her perfect role for the one who's gonna beat up the guy who uses fear to fight. That way we had her overcome her greatest weakness. As for either Kid or Black Star, did they really fear death at any point? Kid is only afraid of things being non-symmetrical and Black Star is afraid of defeat. It had to be some greater fear, something major. And Soul couldn't help because facing our fears with somebody holding our hand is rather easy and won't get us anywhere when we're left by ourselves. Now, why did it have to be a word battle. The thing is two main components, the meaning of the anime, lays in madness and bravery fighting each other. That's why Kishin says "Oh, I see, it's just like madness" in the end. Those two are something every and each one of us possesses and they're fighting within us. Not as drastically as presented in the show, surely, but they do. This battle doesn't show how sharp is Soul's blade or how strong is someone's wavelength. It shows a person, winning against the madness within him/herself. I always prefer realistic endings, but when it comes to epic fantasy, realism is something that should be put behind the meaning the series possess. As for Maka "becoming a weapon" that wasn't the case, I thought that was the black blood forming the scythes. They were black, at least, and it seemed like the way Crona fought in the beginning. Whichever the case, Kishin himself realized she wasn't a weapon after a while. That was a bit unclear, true. As for the whole series, I had two major things I didn't like. First was that no good guy died. Second was introducing new things. I wanted to puke at the first episode immediately and it continued through whole series. "So, Soul, as if you weren't in the Academy since you were like 7, let me tell you what is this all about so guys watching it would understand." I mean, really? I know that it's somewhat the easiest way to go and that I wouldn't like not getting anything either, but, really? How did all of other animes find the way? Overall 9/10. |

| No, i don't think so. If there was one filler in those i would say the Excalibur episode, but i think that it was the ep 31 or so (and also excalibur also appears in the manga as far as i know). |

| I didn't buy all that "courage power" stuff. It was obvious that she will defeat Asura, but they could have atleast thought of a decent way she does that. Still, apart from the last episode the show was really impressive and enjoyable. |

| Well that ending sucked. In fact it fits into one of the worst and most frustrating endings that I've seen so far. Apart from the ending, everything was very enjoyable, funny, and interesting. Everything up to the ending gets a 8/10, however the ending gets the series a 6/10. (Rated based on enjoyment - this is my opinion, not yours) |

| Amazing ending! Great action wonderful climax and just a nice and piece full ending like it should be! Even little Rachel got home safe and BJ got his coffee! Yes the ending sure was great! The Anime in general was quite decent as well it started off quite epic but than went a bit downhill especially the buildup to this final episode was a bit slow but well in the end it really paid off! A very good anime if I'd say so myself 8/10 |

| This is the bast damn series i have ever laid eyes upon in the history of my entire life, no, not just the best anime, but the best thing in my my life my eyes had layed eyes upon. I feel like i can die in peace Doesn't mean i WANT To die!!! I DEMAND A SEASON 2!!!! 9001/10 x infinity, hands down in my book, no further questioning in my mind. But the ending, for the haters, should have been expected because the damn Kishin thrives on the fear of others, yet has a lot of fear in himself, and so courage is the greatest weapon (well, that's how I see it) But the entire series was awesome...I am left speechless. My love of anime had been emboldened and re-enforced, also, Soul Eater was one of the anime i would have inches consider off-limits to my mind because i didnt like "cartoons" and I had inched believe most of the anime in America or popular in America were all the same, but this gave me a change of eart and its a first for me. I feel great and i love love love this series |

| Wow, so I started this series fearful of the supposed "awful ending," but I'm so happy to see that it ended very nicely. Seriously, people just can't shut up about things that are perfectly fine... An amazing series from start to finish! |

| Really that was the so called bad ending? Sure while it wasn't anything great it sure wasn't terrible either. Pretty enjoyable series, now that the manga is ending soon/already ended I would like to see a reboot of this series eventually. |

| Good Series, but bad Anime End! That is all. The anime end just makes it seems like its Maka Eater really. Soul should have been involved as a weapon weapon. And more then that the Trio Team BlackStar/Tsubaki, Kidd/Liz/Patty all should have been greatly involved. Doesn't matter how, maybe tru Maka's courage motivation saying hey guys have courage lets go... but the key was Team work. For people who want continuation read the manga. Tho in the end even with the manga, I feel like the title should have been different. As Soul being weapon most of the time, its is Maka who does all the talking and shines out as being special, tho Soul being the Only Death Scythe of the main trio makes him a bit Superior as a weapon. But his might is really basically shown tru Maka. Because of that, I found myself a bit more invested in BlackStar/Tsubaki rise to becoming mature and powerful in various ways Kidd/Liz/Patty group, they fluid functionality Kidd becoming a full functioning Shinigami. So yea I know the mangaka wanted to have female lead he got it, but the title kinda bummed and threw a good amount of people off with that. A general title could have been Soul Hunter/ as it kinda fits with the story. Anyway again Good Series, but bad Anime End! That is all. |
| It confused me how Shinigami, Black star and Kid with his awesome move barely effected Kishin but Maka was able to kill him with a fist. A fist of courage. Good anime nonetheless 9/10. |

| 2/5. That was a pretty disappointing ending. There were so many "what?" moments when I was watching this from Asura just going complete ape shit and getting completely frightened easily and Maka getting a friendship/courage power-up... It was very cliche. Overall, I enjoyed the series, but there were many issues with the plot going back and forth and the ending being extremely disappointing. Enjoyed the character development, loved the action, story was meh. 8/10. |
| Loved this one. Earned a spot in my top 5. Awesome action scenes. Voice actors were amazing (Just about everyone from Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and Laura Bailey ftw). Art style was a little different but I still liked it. Really not a fan of the ending - of course, the manga never finished when the anime did so I guess they did their best there. Disappointing ending is all. In love with the last ED. 9/10. |
