It's quite interesting how this anime is able to dangle so well humor and drama. I felt it already when they told the past of Yako-san (which made me pretty emotional), but I got to say: boy, this episode... I never imagined it'd be so sad. Kind of guessed Hanako-kun would have a dark past, but not a sad one. It got me crying at the end. Still, it was also a little beuatiful how the relationship between Hanako-kun and Tsuchigomori-sensei was depicted; I liked how it showed, indirectly, the way Tsuchigomori has always been caring for and worrying about Hanako-kun like a parent figure would do. I found it sweet.

This anime has surprised me a lot showing all these deep and sad stories. I wouldn't have expected that from a comedy anime.

Okay the whole episode was great, especially the name reveal it was peak timing BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW KENJIROU TSUDA IS EVERYWHERE RIGHT NOW ?!

HE'S DOING VOICE FOR LIKE 6 SHOWS AT THE SAME TIME AND WITH SOME MAIN PROTAGONIST HE STILL HAS TIME TO DO THINGS LIKE THE AMAZING GOKUSHUFUDOU COMMERCIAL ?! This guy is an actual monster and you can't unhear him when he voices a character.

Yasssss. I love him and his sex oozing voice. He should voice EVERYTHING.

Am I the only one that thinks Hanako's "overprotective" side is finally showing when he told Sensei that line "Yashiro has been acting weird lately...did you do something?" or whatever it was...

Like....this whole time Nene falling for Hanako has been obvious but....him saying that line was first evidence he's falling for her as well?

Well that's what I think....I'll just go "kyaaaaa" in the corner over it then...

I wonder how Hanako died. They alluded pretty heavily to suicide, but that might be a red herring. We know that, whatever happened, it was his choice, though.

We don't know what kind of people we truly are until the moment before our deaths.
As death comes to embrace you, you will realise what you are.
That's what death is, don't you think?

Hanako likes homemade donuts. His home is the girl's bathroom. Hmm...

Tsuchigomori looks all intimidating in the OP but he's actually a sweet guy lol And he's voiced by one of the best VAs aah I love him <3

I hate how the adaptation just skipped over Hanako and Teru's fight. I just started reading the manga recently and I got the impression that it was an unimportant skirmish or some filler fight that wouldn't have much bearing on the story but it was actually an integral part to Kou's development towards Hanako. How Kou becomes hopeful of good supernaturals, how he stood up against his brother or even how it showed another side of Hanako. I'm really disappointed they skipped all over that.

Otherwise, a pretty good episode showing a portion of Hanako's past through the spider teacher's perspective.

In my opinion the best episode so far.
However, it's starting to get on my nerves how Yoshiro is always told the one thing NOT to do while interacting with an apparition and yet it's the first thing she does every single time. Then Hanako jumps in to save her and so on and so forth. It's both repetitive and annoying. :/

Wow, that was emotional. I love how this anime balances silly and sad, on the thinnest edge imaginable. Blink and you miss the change. And how deep it can get in a moment, too. Never expected such a story from this particular episode......

(On another note - hearing Chisaki again made me shiver the whole time Tsuchigomori was telling that story. And that story itself is all sorts of upsetting. Just ... brilliant, in a twisted sort of way.)
((the second I recognised Chisaki's voice had my eyes shining lol - he's great, but I also want to say that I really like Hanako's voice ❤️❤️ - which is also Shinji from Evangelion and that tells you a lot about how good the voice actress is))

I loved this episode, it was so emotional and deep... No opening and ending but definitely worth it. I'm not spoiling, also because it's an episode that, even more than the others, should be enjoyed with no anticipation, but the hug scene after the flashback was so meaningful and moving I was about to cry ❤️

Hope everyone can feel the same

Looks like you missed something, or maybe you have noticed already. He also voices Seto Kaiba from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series. It took me a while to notice, but when he mentioned out "Yugi", I was like "Kaiba?!!"

"I'm sorry this won't work your legs are too fat" LOL, that was brutal.

This episode was really good and just like some users said here, a bit depressing. We know more about Hanako's past and im curious to know how he died.

IT'S TSUDA KENJIROU'S VOICE AS TSUCHIGOMORI-SENSEI AHH

Oh damn so this is the episode where we get an insight of Hanako's past life.

That face Minamoto makes when Nene gets intimate with Hanako LMFAO

Feels bad for Tsuchigomori cuz he didn't want Hanako to be his teacher coworker, yet Hanako is in charge of the seven wonders LOL.

Even though I like Hanako, I'd still ship for Minamoto and Nene!😍😘 Though I get this feeling that this could turn into a bittersweet anime at the end of the story. Because Hanako is already deceased; and Nene is already developing feelings for him.😭😭

She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did!

Got some chills there at the end, from Yugi's past I feel like something dark is going on, I wonder how Hanako-chan turned into an apparition

I'll just give up on the comedy :(
The sensei was a good addition, liked his story and bond with Hanako who we know As Yugi now.
I'm confused, was the sensei already an apparition before Hanako died ? He mentionned that he read Yugi's Book.
The murder probably has to do with the future change. i'd guess the one hurting him is one of his parents that he ended up killing then kill himself.
Killing oneself would be the only way to change your future.

Oh, wow, Hanako secret, and his past! Its sounds dark and so sad. The mystery still hanging around on that explanations. I believed Hanako's traitor was that girl in the previous end. Her reason still untold, tho. So, let just skipped it through the next episode.

However, i stated it again. its a nice flashback. Hanako's twist of his future served a great touchable moment. Damn, its crazy. How could that be? Nothing, its just another mystery of him. Together with all of the Seven Mystery of the school that somehow just related to his own life story. Was that coincidence? I just hope there was some proper explanations about how that can be. Or else, the story telling aspect had a lack of its nice plot setting. I mean, its not a perfect story after all!

It's looking like Hanako Yugi Amane may have killed himself. I wonder how he ended up stuck in the girls' bathroom though. Was he a perv?

Kind of a bummer that he had to die to make friends.

I'm still not feeling the humor of the show, at least Nene's. The exorcist guy is pretty funny, and his dub lines are hilarious, calling Hanako "flush face" and "plunger pants" and stuff.

I love the teacher guy. He looks like he's going to be a great character, and balance out the kids' antics a bit.

I'm guessing that Aoi has a connection to the green-haired girl or the boy with the black paper crane that we saw briefly in one ep, and they're in the OP. The boy with the paper crane is obviously not human.

Looks like the next ep is about doughnuts, so maybe it'll be a bit more light-hearted.

THRILL AFTER THRILL!!!
Yashiro's book turning red and dripping blood certainly foreshadows something big and dark...

The librarian sensei, although seems to be an antagonist, has got a p good-looking design and a bone-chilling evil side to it! Surprising to learn he's a faculty whose identity is also tied to the school as one of the 7 wonders, 4'O'Clock Library!

"All of us are working together, but it looks like one of the seven of us is a traitor."
Ah yes, the game of Among Us :))

HOLY MOLY, YASHIRO's EMBARASSING SECRET :)))

Man... We're getting a glimpse of Hanako-kun's past... Quite emotional :( He deserved that hug!

Tsuchigomori is HAWT. As a human & even now.

This episode made me tear up. I feel like the ED always hits at the right moment when things get emotional, the sound direction is great.

Seems like Hanako wanted to keep his past a secret. There’s definitely more than meets the eye. Poor Yugi Amane tho. He had dreams & things he was going to achieve. Wonder what really happened.
