| I´ve voted for Haikyuu, but I actually like all of the sports anime I´ve seen so far. I´ve thought about it a lot bc it was always about making a decision between Haikyuu and KnB for me. In the end the characters were the aspect that made me pick Haikyuu. Honorable mentions are Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru, Tsurune and YoI. Run with the Wind definitely is one hidden gem in the sports genre and it´s a shame that seemingly not a lot of people have seen it. |

| If Air Gear and/or Kaleido Star counts then definitely one of those. Otherwise I would be probably go with Ashita no Joe or Diamond no Ace. From your poll Haikyuu was easily the most enjoyable of the bunch. |

| Haven't seen Free and Inazuma Eleven, while currently watching Slam Dunk I'll take Hajime no Ippo regardless if some of the sport anime are missing. Great comedic moments mixed with intense moments on some of the matches, good visuals, consistent enjoyment with higher number of episodes and I don't dislike any of the characters while having one of my favorite characters having significant screen time. HM: Ashita no Joe and Keijo!!!!!!! |

| Redline, Initial D, Quanzhi Gaosho (King's Avatar), Vivid Strike, and Chihayafuru are my favorite sports anime. Also thought IGPX, March Comes in Like a Lion, and Over Drive were pretty decent. |

| Chihayafuru. Admittedly still need to watch some of the really big ones, but so far, Chihayfuru is easily my favorite. Oh, and if you want to argue it's not a sport, it's a reflex based competition that encourages physical training and emphasizes full control of your body in order to win. I don't know what other requirements you need. |

| I'm very uncultured when it comes to sports anime but one of the first animes I watched was Hajime no Ippo and I dropped it after 25 episodes. The other one was Chihayafuru and it actually made me enjoy a sport I don't know sh!t about, so that's an achievement. So imma say Chihayafuru for now. |

| man, can't believe only 12 people have voted for Slam Dunk...the disrespect smh welp, tbf, I guess the anime might not have aged very well. The animation sucks plus the insane amount of recap and flashbacks it has. It can get really obnoxious. Still, Slam Dunk, the manga, is GOAT. For best Sport Anime, Ping Pong the Animation is the right choice ;) |

| Hajime no Ippo, Eyeshield 21, Major, Captain Tsubasa, One Outs, Ashita no Joe, Prince of Tennis and Cross Game are probably my favorites. I'm surprised that Haikyuu is leading the poll. It's not bad, but to me it's just a run-of-the-mill sports anime. Nothing about it stood out at all when I watched it. I might have to give it another watch. |

Haikyui, Major , Run with the wind lol i have no idea why the hell would you peg knb[shows impossible maneuvers] in the same league as slam dunk[being more realistic+has better comedy aspect to; the only downside being it's artwork] could be that you like the shounen aspect to knb. anyway go watch ashita no joe if you want real boxing[more darker/serious take towards boxing] .and not some fancy shounen[guess i need to learn a new move to defeat someone] Hajime no Ippo don't get me wrong i loved ippo especially the comedy but it all seems fruity/vanilla against ashita no joe. haha i completely agree with you my man. |
