| Once there's a remake, there will be a comparison. As a huge fan of the old version thanks to the phenomenal performances of the voice actors, I do hope they do justice to the remake with a nice conclusion. The 1st ep seems to be quite decent. Can't wait to see my lovely lovely Momiji! |

| Watching a new episode of Fruba in 2019 feels so surreal. Loved this episode and I really couldn't help but tear up at some scenes. I can't wait to experience the entire series again! I gotta say though, this is really giving me hope that one day they'll adapt Ouran High School Host Club in full. Ouran was popular as well, just slightly less than Fruba. Fingers crossed! |
No like the “tempo” of the show. The old version feels a little bit more laid back and this one just sorta flows quicker. Idk... it’s not bad it still flows nicely but I certainly feel a difference ... just vibes |

| not sure what to expect from this show, only really watching it because i know how popular the original is lol it seems alright so far, and judging from what others are saying so far it's gonna be good. interested to see what's in store next weeks episode ^^ |

| I don't know the manga nor the 2001 anime, but this episode was fine, nothing outstanding but fine. I have no complains about the visuals and i like the MC so far. Also, the whole concept of the zodiac signs being animals in the japanese culture was always sooooo fascinating to me (i'm a Dragon lmao). However, I'll keep watching and hope that the story deepens from here since i saw how popular and acclaimed is the manga (really hope this isn't due to the "nostalgia effect"). |

| I was looking forward to watching this, since the original Fruits Basket is pretty much a classic. I've never watched it, but ever since I got into anime a decade ago, FB was also one of the top recommended shoujo shows. Also, now that the manga is complete, we're probably getting a proper ending too. I had no clue that the show was about cute animal boys lol. Tohru is also a great main character; her positivity is very contagious. Looking forward to more. I do hope we are getting a complete adaptation. |

| I think the first episode was really heart warming but really general shoujo. I can't really say a lot and compare to the old anime ver. as it's been years since I watched it and I never finished it. Overall the sounds are nice and animation look updated (as it should be). It's pleasant "no-brainer" so far. I know things are gonna progress the more we get with this anime, but so far it's relaxing. It gives the lovely 2000's anime vibe. //Can I say that I didn't remember Shigure to be so annoying. I wanted to punch him so hard lol |

| This is the first anime that makes me cry when I was a kid haha and I remember now why I cried before, still feel sad for Tohru. I still root for Yuki Sohma! <3 |

| Girl lives in a tent... Shigure is the dog... Don't laugh Shigure. It takes guts to live in a tent! Yuki's the rat... Kyo's the cat...the angry cat... That's a pretty good ending theme. Wow... Fruits Basket "1st season". Is that just the first 12/13 episodes or will all 24 episodes be the "1st season"? Nothing like a Classic Shoujo to warm up the season. By the way, did I miss the dragon in the ending animation? I saw most of the animals except for the dragon... |

| so was this good fans? i never bothered to see the OG fruits basket so up till now after all these years i knew next to nothing about it besides it sorta looking like a shoujo. apparently this is suppose to be the brotherhood of the old series fully doing the whole manga so that's neat i liked it so i'll stick with it |

| Hmm Im a first time watcher and I have to say .. I thought I wouldnt like and it would suck but damn ... its seem so good ... I thought it was just a drama high school show...but its acutally pretty good and the animation is very good aswell looking for more of this.. |
| I haven't seen the original, so I do not know if I have to watch it as well, but this first episode was great. I laughed a lot during the episode, and felt sad on some parts. I feel this will be a good one. |
| I never watched the 2001 anime and I've also never read the manga even tho I though about buying it. I was super excited to see that the first episode is up and it's safe to say that I've fallen in love with this anime already! |
| I've watched the original series a few times and never had any issues with it all so I kinds feel this remake is much ado over nothing. But having said this 1st episode of the remake wasn't bad at all. |

| Oh the nostalgia! Never watched the original but read the manga. Ep 1 was decent with nice animation. Didn't realize how cringy some parts of it were, e.g., Tohru getting dizzy and clumsy, but I suppose I'll stick with a few more episodes. |

| My sister was a huge fan of the original anime series and Manga but I never got around to watching it when it first aired. I was mainly watching black cat at the time and whatever else was airing but I will say I very much enjoyed the first episode and am happy they gave this treatment to this anime. |

| Adore the new and improved artstyle and animation, great job to polish up the old work without losing the old Frubas atmosphere. The new voice actor for Yuki was an excellent choice, he was feminie enough without that old feminie voice to boot. I will enjoy this adaptation, I´m sure. |

| Oh god how did they mess up so bad? Everything is wrong. Comedy timing is wrong. Character design is wrong. music is nonexistant compared to the masterpiece OST of the OG anime. First episode was soulless. |

| Man, this was such an awesome first episode. I already had high hopes but this episode topped it. Watching this remake and remembering all the details, it felt like welcoming an old friend again :) |
| One episode in and I already love this series! I never had the chance to watch the original and I’m so glad we’re getting a remake. I love all the characters and the use of the Chinese zodiacs. Also, Yuki is best boy. I’m calling it now. |
