| -Already posted but Biba from Kabaneri, ruined zombie train for me so much. -That one guy who's name I don't know from Eureka seven ao that could somehow use space lazers against nirvash, made me drop that shit from episode 6, STILL pissed they ruined my fav anime with that abomination sequel. -Rei Miyamoto from Highschool of the dead, must be the most insufferable female MC in an anime ever, still hoping she gets killed off if it ever does get restarted (lol, nope) -The fake Makabe Masamune from Masamune-kun no Revenge, nearly dropped it at episode 10... still took me 3 weeks to finish it after that -Heck, basically any guy/girl that gets introduced to "NTR", or at least play 3rd wheel and nearly destroy a romance you've been waiting to happen for weeks. Sure, most of these end up being useless and just done for some needless dragging on drama, but it always pisses me off |

| 6. Subaru. Yes, Re:zero is trash enough as it is, and emilia and rem are just as bad (which is why Subaru isn't 1 in my list), but being the MC, subaru wins the contest for worst character. 5. Gon. I like HxH, definitely one of the best I've seen, but Gon is just a trash character. That scene where he stops the recording because he didn't care about his real mother made no sense either. 4. Karma. I don't dislike Karma inherently, but why the hell was he in the assassination classroom? He pretty much didn't have any flaws, which was the point of that 3-F class (was it 3-F?, cant remember). 3. Biba from Kabaneri, mentioned already. Do I have to say why? Kabaneri was good or at least decent until he showed up. It didn't need a human antagonist, totally ruined the show. 2. Shiro from UWB. 1. Black Star from Soul Eater. I was mostly liking soul eater, but that guy was just unbeareable, people complain about that Black Clover guy, but this guy was just as bad. Even though she cutes, watching the parts with just her and Subaru was a pain. If it wasn't for the bimonthly challenge I would've dropped it right there. I dropped it then gave it another shot.  There are many characters that ruined an anime for me. But the most notable ones are in order below: 10. Yuuichirou from Owari no Seraph. Dunno the actual reason but I just found him so annoying that I couldn't start watching the sequel. *9. Alois from Kuroshitsuji II. One Ciel is all we ever needed in the story. Glad that he was a filler character. *8. Takeru from Maken-ki! I haven't seen a more awful MC in harem anime which are usually trashy anime. But he is the trashiest. *7. Yukina from Strike the Blood. Her "Ie, Senpai" became a poison to my ears. *6. Kiyotaka from Youkoso Jitsuryoku. Behaves like he doesn't give a fcuk but he actually does. *5. Tyuule from GATE 2. A real whore and her existence ruined the already below average anime. *4. Orihime from Bleach. I wanted to slap some common senses onto her. One of my biggest regrets as an anime fan is watching anything beyond episode 63 of Bleach. *3. Satoru from Boku Dake for his level of intelligence and his convenient time leaps. *2. Yuuri from Yuri on Ice. I haven't seen a pussier character than him who is supposed to be taken seriously. But I guess he was meant to be a pussy character. *1. Kirito from SAO. For his very existence. Hard to beat this one. | Naruto as much as I like his ethos as a character really doesn't work in his own story when you zoom out. Which kind of makes it hard for me to revisit that series with intention of finishing it. |

| Wouldn't say these characters single-handedly ruined their shows but I felt as if they were out of place or just lacking compared to the rest of the cast. Raki (Claymore) - I usually don't mind cowardly characters like this but I couldn't stand him. Chiaki (Minami-ke) - Same as above, I don't mind deadpan characters but I thought she was insufferable. Seras and the Major (Hellsing Ultimate) A shit ton of characters from One Piece, Naruto and Bleach. All three series just became worse and worse in terms of characters. |
