A full-flashback episode? This is just getting annoying and confusing. Wasn't the King's Game supposed to be longer than this? All the death seemed like a skip or something. They should just focus on one game dammit! Or are the creators trying to make the whole series into a flashback and in the last episode, the ending scene would be Nobuaki resolving to fix things? The only good thing here is Ria, the OP, and ED, and maybe the MC too... |

"Don't do anything unnecessary?" That's not fair. King should have just texted "Don't be a pussy during the Ousama Game." Would have made a lot more sense to everyone... We should play the Ousama Game here on MAL too! "Don't drop Ousama Game. Punishment will be a perma-ban from MAL." |

Just 2 questions If you're going to show us the former Ousama Game, why bother introducing the new one if in 5 episodes we had 15 minutes of it and 105 minutes of flashbacks? Do the producers think that making characters die without personality and without logic makes a good horror/drama show? |

And I feel really bad because you can tell that they tried and I'm usually a sucker for trashy murder elimination but it's just...ugh. It has Pile in it though so I'm continuing huehuehue The visuals are bland, the shot of the computer has live action photos of the village because it'd be a pain in the ass to draw them, who actually "tried"? |

They should have really just sticked to the prequel instead of that load of flashbacks. I read the manga of the original Ousama Game (I wouldn't if I knew that this anime was adapting both series) and because they try to adapt both games in one series of 12 episodes, they skipped some orders or events. I think the last scene with Kaori was also not in the manga and they skipped the whole part in which Ria stole the phones of some girls. Really bad adaption. |

Like I mention in previous episodes, alot of scenes have being changed/remove from the manga, so ALOT of details have being lost... Which is why it's slowly making me lose interest in watching the anime now. Also, after watching this episode, I'm disappointed that the bloody scene doesn't feel horror at all, which is consider EPIC FAIL again~ When episode 1 first air and I saw how Cheimi kinda 'break up parts by parts' there, I can still feel some GORE in it. But for this episode, it just... *sigh* Anyway, I guess the flashback part is almost coming to an end pretty soon as well. (if they continue to skip scenes here.) Final thing that is left for the prequel ousama game here which we haven't seen yet, is the last game only. PS: I REALLY just want to see how they continue the sequel storyline now, but I'm kinda looking forward to see how Naoya ended up as..., u know..., THAT too. (again, just not spoiling for people who didn't read the manga~) |

you Die!! Everyone DIE!! MC should DIE!!! but first, he needs to fuck his best friend and then DIE DIE DIE!!! *spinning with dual wield shotguns* a lot characters die in this flashback, means soon they will start the actual series... hmm... looking from the previous comments, a lot scenes are skipped even changed... tbh Yousuke is the real hero... i laugh so hard when his hand stops working properly... lol it's weird though, doing some research about the previous game doesn't count as doing an unnecessary thing but crying does... |

Yeah. ThatCynicalOtaku said: This adaptation is a complete mess. As a reader of the manga, I'm just disappointed. But I still have a glimmer of hope for this show, which is why I'm going to keep watching.-Why didn't anyone try blocking the King's texts in the BEGINNING? -Why is it that only NOW someone's attempted to research the King's Game? -How did the girl know where the MC was? -Why is the girl pissed at the MC when he lied to her so she wouldn't die? -Why does the MC decide to solo the mission, when it'd be 100x more practical to get the whole class with him? -How can the order still be valid when, clearly, by the time the girl died near the end, the sun was up, meaning the day the order was given was over. -Why hasn't anyone still called the police or talked to a supernatural expert yet? -And how the fuck aren't the police still involved, when there are completely random gruesome suicides that make no sense? |

I might be the minority but I actually enjoyed this episode. My only problem is they cut out some scenes, and a few spots felt jumpy, like you missed something. It makes sense though since there trying to condense down the first arc. Interested to see next weeks episode because they have changed up a few things, so I want to see how the first arc concludes here. |

Wow, this is... wow... Well at least the prequel story can't last much longer, considering there are what, like maybe 5 people in the class still alive... Not that I expect anything great from the present story either, but at least we can get this horrible flashback hell over with. And seriously, why are you surprised that she cried? Did you hear what you just told her? Of course she cried. I wish they'd decide whether they are adapting the prequel or the sequel. They should have adapted them separately, rather than squeezing them both into 12 episodes. It isn't a great adaptation, but I'll finish it anyway. |

Oh great, dead people, dead people everywhere. I should feel bad for laughing at the way Yousuke died... or not, since this anime is a big mess of a joke anyway. I still enjoyed it quite a lot though, I just need to turn off my brain while watching this (don't wanna lose more of those precious brain cells!). Jagh said: Remember the present story line that we started on? Cause this show doesn't. The 'good' news is, they're speed-running through the (also atrocious, and also unintentionally comical/lol Yousuke) manga. If they just focus on the prequel next ep, the entire last half of the manga will be focused on the sequel, without interruption. Too bad that seems just as bad going on what's been shown so far. Just read Ousama: Kigen/Origin instead: it's set during 1977, in Yonaki village, and is actually surprisngly well-written, without juvenile sex bollox... with deaths that are more disturbing than funny. And no sodding mobile phones/'die if you cry' retardation. Luckily it seems this anime isn't adapting it.. unless they cover it in delayed trip to Yonaki village. As comical as three series in 12 eps would be, plz no. Typing of, dunno why they changed it so Nobuaki didn't go to Yonaki. In the manga Kaori jumps him at Yonaki. And lol at him actively attempting to make her cry by telling her everything, after previously trying to hide Yousuke's death. Mamoru is a great voice actor/Light Yagami, but my gawd: playing such a crybaby idiot makes him horribly overwrought. |

Maybe it's because I'm a cold-hearted asshole, but I cannot sympathize or empathize with the idiotic girl. I doubt she thought about the fact that crying would mean death before it was already too late, and if she did it was probably more along the lines of "no no no I can't cry crap I'm crying." While I have to agree that I may not have cried (hard to be sure until you're actually there though) and maybe you wouldn't have cried (hard to say without knowing you personally), but we'd be the odd ones in that regard. Most humans are ruled by emotion more than logic, and even the most starkly logical person can fall prey to strong emotion under heavy stress. And if this series has made anything clear, it's that these kids are not very logical at all, even moreso than you would expect from a bunch of hormonal teenagers. Of course it's still hard to care about her death, but more because the show does a terrible job of making you want to care about anyone, which is amplified even further by the flashback hell setup that tells you they're all going to die anyways. |

Ria started saying the same shit again 'I'm the king, kill me' and then says 'I'm not the king.' Poor Ria, she was raped huh? Well, her attitude is still annoying to me. She's a typical good-girl-gone-bad trope. Too many deaths, my head hurts. I dropped this ep mid-way, this isn't good for my mental health. Also the timelines are so confusing, I didn't understamd if this was the present or the past game. Good luck to other users that are watching this pile of garbage. |

Outdumb? Then why don't you elaborate with a proper argument instead of leaving with a dumb one liner? If he's going in the present with the intention of looking for clues then that means he hasn't gone there in the past or at least found any clue to end the game, which means next episode (if the flashback continues) it would be shown how he didn't make it (in the past). That's my point. What's so f'ing difficult to understand with that? It's so frigging simple. Perhaps a good explanation is that the MC wants to go back there again to look for more clues or maybe that's how he survived the last game. But that doesn't make sense for me because he looked like it's his first time going there if you "pay attention" on his dialogue with Keita (iirc) and the girl (who lost her phone). Hence my question. |

Geez this is why the community has a bad image and ironically an edgy image too... It's quite ironic cause you're also "whining". What's ridiculous here is you "getting at the end of the line" with matters that doesn't concern you at all. Let everyone discuss whatever they want. That's what forums are for. Why do you even really care? Just enjoy the anime. |

King should have just texted "Don't be a pussy during the Ousama Game." Would have made a lot more sense to everyone... We should play the Ousama Game here on MAL too! "Don't drop Ousama Game. Punishment will be a perma-ban from MAL." |

I've actually lost all hope for this anime. :D They musn't do anything unnecessary... So they aren't allowed to cry (which is btw a totally normal, human reaction for certain situations, and not something intentional, therefore crying can't be an "unnecessary" neither a "necessary" action but whatever) but Nobuaki can run around like crzay and call everyone in panic, also black haired girl can attack, kidnap and accuse him, Yousuke can do researches about previous games and discuss with Nobuaki how they gonna end the game... And these are perfectly fine activities and don't count as "unnecessary" as long as they don't cry??? This is just beyond stupid. xDD So stupid I can't even take it seriously. :"D Just because something is edgy as hell doesn't mean it's automatically deep as well. But my favourite was Nobuaki at the end. "Yousuke loved you and now he is dead! But don't cry because you will die too. But he probably wanted to hear your voice for the last time but he died. He is dead now. But you musn't cry. Yousuke loved you so much and now he is dead. HE'S DEAD!!!!.... Wut? Did I make you cry??? OMG I didn't want to..." Like, nice job jackass. xDD Actually until midway I thought he was trying to make her cry on purpose, so she wouldn't attack him. But no... of course not. He is just an edgy piece of shit. |

He had gone to the village in the past so why is he going again in the present? He didn't go. Come on man, this is the type of show where you gotta pay attention. It wasn't shown yet. But judging from his stubbornness, there's a high chance he would in the next episode. Unless, of course for some reason he couldn't, which is yet to show up. And I'm not talking for just this episode. I'm talking about the entire plot. I recommend not trying to outdumb this show. Outdumb? Then why don't you elaborate with a proper argument instead of leaving with a dumb one liner? Because I wasn't arguing anything, just pointing out that the only things that doesn't make sense are your comments. SigOpram said: If he's going in the present with the intention of looking for clues then that means he hasn't gone there in the past or at least found any clue to end the game, which means next episode (if the flashback continues) it would be shown how he didn't make it (in the past). That's my point. What's so f'ing difficult to understand with that? It's so frigging simple. I don't fucking know man. Good question to ask yourself. SigOpram said: Perhaps a good explanation is that the MC wants to go back there again to look for more clues or maybe that's how he survived the last game. But that doesn't make sense for me because he looked like it's his first time going there if you "pay attention" on his dialogue with Keita (iirc) and the girl (who lost her phone). Hence my question. ??? Also, he doesn't make it clear it's his first time going. He makes it clear he needs to go there to investigate. He evidently did not go this episode, and even he makes another failed attempt next episode or any time in the future, there are no contradictions. |

Hmm now that you put it that way, Nobuaki must be one hell of a robot if he can resist crying after being forced to witness that many deaths. Maybe his tearducts are malfunctioning... |

This anime is a train wreck and I love to hate it and watch the dumbness of it get worse with each episode. I'm sticking with this horrible anime until the end. |
