I second this. Crunchyroll shows no sign of adding this show. Also, I did not find it on Funimation. However, I did notice it was available on Amazon.com with an "Anime Strike" subscription (which is $4.99/mo after a free trial). So, where is everyone else watching this show???

Found it pretty boring, but I did really like the music. Gonna watch a couple more eps at least and give it a shot.

Oh man was that boring. The pain started when it's halfway through. The lack of interesting dialogue & lack of focus(we got "introduced" to many characters yet none of them properly introduced) really hurt it. & literally nothing significant happened in the first episode. When it's about time for a confession, it ended. And what's worse, there's no build up for any drama, romance, or anything.

Well, at least the music was good.

The first episode alone was definitely boring. I mean, come on. And this is coming from me, someone who likes slice of life, a genre that many consider boring.

At least Clannad has absurd comedy to latch on to in the first episode. This has nothing. And I do not like Clannad.

The animation was good and the backgrounds were really beautiful, I'm pretty excited to see where they're going with this.

Which background exactly? I am pretty sure the background was pretty cold, drab, & lack any beautiful panning shot.

It's not Tsuki-ga-kirei-level, but it managed to keep me interested.

Nah, Shaft's animation is wayyy better.
It was average for me, I feel it's going to be pretty sad but this episode was stupidly slow and boring. Idk probably I'm a person that likes fast paces

@Ayato_Hiragi @PanchitoMatte I'm sailing the high seas, because there are no legal alternatives here (and probably never will be).

I kind of liked the first episode. The interactions with the characters felt more like real people interacting with each other than romantic comedy clichés (not that there's anything wrong with clichés in the right situations, it's just feels refreshing). But it's too early to tell where it's going to go from here. The animation is kinda wonky however, I'm hoping they'll have enough budget for this.

Am in a period of my life where I must make an overwhelming amount of decisions & considerations towards work, relationships and other.

In my current situation I greatly enjoyed the overall feel & slow pacing of this episode. It was soothing to look around the school at our own pace with him. The photography hobbyist in me loved seeing the images he texted & further loved the plot line about the photography club as he may become a part of it. Meaning a possibility to see more photography within this anime.

The background art was beautiful and my main focus. Felt like I was watching the start of a movie. Can also explain why I didn't notice the animation faults & "bad quality" others mention.

The background music & band practice both felt lovely. Was relaxing, playful & gave me vibes similar to "Little bear". A a slow kids cartoon who I recall mainly utilizes music rather than dialogue to convey feelings.

During most of it I did continuously asked myself, "Who will recognized him first?", "When will someone finally notice him?" which caused me impatience as I wanted to see what the interactions between him and other characters would be like. I was not disappointed. I can understand how the wait can be boring for some but I feel it was worth it. I loved & smiled widely when his friend got the home-run & jumped towards him, twirling him around after the cheering of the band & magical transition to the touching music once he did hit it.

Am overall intrigued and looking forwards to episode two.

I think that episode set up a nice starting point for an interesting development in next episodes.
Many characters and some of their connections to main guy were shown.
Both animation and soundtrack fit slow pace and build in melancholy atmosphere of anime.
I feel it is going to be a really solid series.
As for me 4/5 episode.

I don't understand the hype over Tsuki ga Kirei.
This first episode was great, and even without having seen much it seems like it will be way more enjoyable than Tsuki.

Tsuki ga kirei had realistic (but boring af) characters, with many awkward situations and next to no depth at all for all the cast, while this show seems to have only unique characters which I guess I like better.

I thought this would be as boring as Tsuki but after having seen this episode I'm hyped.

Getting really tired of the Tsuki ga Kirei comparisons. It's been one episode which isn't enough to really make a fair comparison unless you're only comparing the first episodes. This did a good job introducing the characters and what their personalities are like imo, and that's fine for the first episode.

Didn't expect this to be so great! what a perfect way of story telling. This is "show don't tell" at its best. And as a result, you get the feeling of it being a great episode.

I totally agree. And besides, Izumi is nothing like the MC of Tsuki ga kirei. Azumi (that similar names, though) was portrayed as a shy almost sociophobic guy right from the first episode (the family meeting at the restaurant). Izumi, however, seems rather ordinary. He easily finds company and he's not shy at all.

I liked this as a first episode, but I do feel kind of confused at how hints of the plot were given throughout the episode...
I also kind of got alarmed when things went from 0-100 real fast at times throughout the episode, so hopefully they'll get the hang of spacing things out more in future episodes...

It piqued my interest that u mentioned that and i couldn't help but looking for that anime that I didn't know of, and i found myself quite surprised by how much I liked the 1st episode. I have to tell u tho RebelPanda that at 1st I thought it wasn't going to turn out well mainly because of the animation but the development, voice acting, and all the rest proved me wrong. I really want to thank u for commenting about that anime.

And regarding "just because" i found the 1st episode way too slow and boring, i still wanna watch more eps tho since i reallly love the character desings and the animation, hope it gets better.

The atmosphere throughout the whole episode reminded me of Hibike Eupohonium Season 2. That "feeling" that I don't know how to describe. I guess to be more accurate, it's a mixture of many feelings? It's like sadness, excitement, thinking about the future a lot, yearning for more memories, some regret sprinkled in there, a hint of anxiety... but all into one.

Anyway, I'm impressed with this show's first episode. I like shows like these.

I already watched 2 episodes and so far so good <3 I have the feeling that tsuki ga kirei could be what any others on the same genre that i've watched lately have failed to be.

I agree with u i'll give it 2 or 3 more episodes to convince me and hopefully it does otherwise all these beautiful visuals will go to waste :/

I feel kinda confused after watching this episode. A class is going to graduate from school, and then a new transferring student appears. Why is he transferred at the right moment of upcoming graduation? Can someone explain to me what happens in the episode?

MC was originally from that area/region and transferred to somewhere else in his 2nd year at junior high i think due to his father's work and he move back to this area again because his father's work again. and his father even said to him when they wait for the vice principal that some of MC's friend go to this school (Natsume Mio and Souma Youto)
"... Now you're looking for the secret... but you won't find it, because of course you're not really looking. You don't really want to know. You want to be fooled."

I have to admit that I really didn't enjoy Tsuki ga Kirei and dropped it quickly. This seems much more promising, with some interesting characters and a lot of potential for solid storylines. I don't mind that it's slow, just as long as there's enough to keep me interested. Plus, I enjoy its melancholic side...it feels right in terms of the specific setting. I'll definitely keep watching to see what's next.

Same. The two mains were painful for me to watch, but here, I feel like all of the characters we've seen so far very much have their own personalities. It's not just shown through the dialogues or their tone of voice, but also but their actions. The way certain characters walk, sway, run, jump off the stairs, or twisting an eraser between fingers, these motions give information about the characters. I like the attention to detail seen throughout this episode.

The mundane atmosphere is also done very well. I enjoyed watching the beginning, where we see the characters going about their lives. The pale/faded color palette also helps to give off that tone.

The characters all seem pretty nice so far. The baseball part was cute, I wish Souma luck with his confession. It was also nice to hear the trumpet section play the song while they were playing baseball. Seems like Natsume and Izumi have some past history? Looking forward to learn more :)

I think you hit on the big difference here. This is going to be an ensemble show, and that's why I immediately enjoyed its possibilities. And yes! Everyone has certain personal attributes but I'm not getting the standard tsundere etc. stereotyping that one might expect. Fingers crossed!

Ah a slow paced SOL romantic drama, I was wondering what it was going to be because we really had nothing to go on based on the synopsis or PV.

Hopefully either there is going to be an energetic character that will liven up the entire atmosphere or the characters better warm up to each other eventually so that we can have more intimate character interactions.
I'm not a lolicon, you're just projecting your tendency to lewd 2D characters.

If your favourite character is Tsutsukakushi Tsukiko, you are my soul mate.

Been a long time since I've been here, I'll continue expressing myself freely and believe everyone should too.
