This episode was really intense, and it seems that Armin has picked up some Eren expressions. xD

I can't believe we only have one more episode to go. I wish we were getting more episodes for this anime. I can't understand how they're fitting all of this in just 12 episodes. Maybe that's a hint for season 3?

Fuck, this one made me so anxious. I'm glad Erwin's made it out alive. I wonder if he cut off his arm to release himself or the titan just bit it off releasing him, I hope it'll be clarified cause he kind of appeared back out of nowhere.

Not really important to know how Erwin got loose. He got loose, that's all you need to know really :P
If you think he cut himself out, that's good enough.
Though I think it'll be explained later.

It is important cause I don't like this whole 'just turn off your brain and watch' approach.

About time bertold started opening his mouth though its hard for me to symphatize with him because he's so quiet.

Commander Erwin loses his arm and doesn't see reason to stop fighting.what a troop.he's the MVP of this episode though they don't show you how he got free lol

It's good to see mikasa missed her k.o swing and be in danger for once lol

I'd hate to be historia at this point of the story .picking who to side will psychologically eat her up

Great episode mostly thanks to the action since the story didn't Advanced much

Well for sure this was one hell of an intense episode xD
I was laughing with Mikasa's killing stare. That was so hilarious somehow. And Erwin going all kamikaze there. That was glorious. He's a great decisive leader lol
Even Armin gets into the board and begins his psychological attack on Bertholdt.

I´m pretty sure that Erwin is that titan in the end he let the other titan snap his arm because he knows he can recover I dont think someone that exprienced would get caught so easily.

There's something else about this adaptation. I know what's going to happen, but still... the excitement seeing this animated gives me is outrageous. Many great moments in this episode, but Erwin takes the whole episode to another level.

The commander has sacrificed everything... now an arm. The whole battle was dramatic and to an extent, seems like every Military Police guy is going to die. Tragedy everywhere. The scene where they talk to Bertholt is really nice. Listening to the soundtrack before made me treasure it even more.

Apetitan during the arm cutoff was intense and a perfect fit. One thing I did read here was that Eren got worried about Annie, such a great find, I didn't even realize that while reading the manga.

I hate that this is only getting 12 episodes... can't wait for next week.

Been waiting for years to see this adapted. The wait was worth it. Erwin was as magnificently GAR as should be and Mikasa shows her singleminded furious tenacity. There can be no doubt that she'd kill the entire squad in order to save Eren. And even Armin shows some certain mad tendencies in the way he broke Bertholts focus so completely.

Considering more anime studios make a lot of money from merchandises, and AoT sells a lot of bags (in UK i usually atleast 2-3 AoT survey corps bags or some sorts of merchandise), why doesnt WiT studio or the company that orders AoT have enough money??

did they blew that all up on rolling girls, kabeneri and the vampire anime????

manga reader here, I am fully up to date with the manga but its very satisfying to watch the anime

theres something about the anime that makes is worth every second, the manga is not like that, i found the manga to be a little boring but thats considering i read stuff like tokyo ghoul RE and berserk

erwin is the best legitly; this scene proves how badass erwin is.. about to to die and he will still say to advance

berdthodlt and reiner are dumb b****rds; really give a proper reason you good or you bad; the got some weird sense of justice so i'd really wanna read the manga to understand them asap
mikasa is scarier than any titan
i dont get why she didnt just stick her blade in so eren could transform or even to take off berthodlts neck

Okay, I usually read comments on the discussion thread once I finish the ep but not now. For once, I don't wanna get spoiled! Lol. I still don't know who that smiling titan is, fortunately.

Amazing episode, as usual. Kudos to Bert's va. I could hear his voice shake during his confrontation with the rest of the gang. His emotions were so believable! And when he was mad after hearing Armin talk about Annie being tortured, too.

I still can't get myself to hate Reiner and Bert. Especially after hearing that Bert actually kinda felt respite when they were pretending to be soldiers :(

I also get enough of Jean this episode. I'm happy!

And Erwin! So much respect for him. I know some might not like his methods – willing to sacrifice the lives of his soldiers and all, but like what someone else said on another site, he's also willing to sacrifice his life, and deprive himself of compassion for the sake of the whole of humanity. He is not all good, but he's willing to take risks that he knows would benefit them in the long run.

Last episode next week. I'm not ready T__T

This episode gave me so much tension.
Starting with Mikasa's murderous faces, moving to Berthold's confession, with all of his friends. I still don't understand the motive or the story behind it, of course, tho I feel sad since Berthold and Reiner seemed really genuine. Also, I am loving the dynamics of the Eren's comrades.

Then comes Erwin's awesome "CHARGE". That was truly breathtaking. Resulting in seeing a new face of Armin, the heartless physio Armin. I LOVED IT!

Finally, that creep of a giant as a cliff-hanger. God, it gave me chills.
I am extremely upset that next episode will be last. This means I will probably end up reading the manga as I doubt I can be patient for I don't know how long.

Basically, it's because studio WIT are getting a very small percentage of that money. There's a lot of parties getting paid here: the author, the publisher, the sponsors, the studio... Sometimes studios don't even get a percentage. They just get paid a fixed amount to do the job, regardless of how much the anime ends up selling.

WIT prioritised other anime like Kabaneri because it's an original anime by them, meaning that they get all of the profit.

Great episode as always.

Ymir said that she stole the power of titans from Reiner and Bertholdt's comrades, this feels odd somehow considering in her backstory we saw her getting injected by the titan drug. The only thing I can think of is that she was referring to the portion where she was being worshiped but she never really stole anything. I suppose there's more to Ymir's backstory than what we saw?

She became a mindless titan with the injection, but then she turned into a titan shifter after eating Reiner and Bert's comrade. Of course she didn't know what she was doing, but she still considers she stole that power.

I hope I'm not spoiling anything... If I remember correctly the flashback showed her turning human again after eating the kid who saved Reiner, right?

Edit: Oh, someone has already replied. Sorry, I'm too slow typing on a tablet ^^;
I think you did actually spoil. We haven't seen EXACTLY what transforms people into Titan so........ Studio Witt was REALLY careful with that in previous episode, in Ymir flashback they zoomed in on her head not revealing anything around.......

My highlights were Mikasas creepy yandere mode and Erwins unbelieveable determination.

Ok that discussion between Christa and Ymir was hilarious. If I didn't want a serious fight to happen finally I would have lost it there. It was just ridiculous.

"Nobody will say you'd be better of not being born!"
"because they are busy eating me"
"everybody has one or two faults"
-> WTF

And it just continued like that.

Mikasa was amazing though. That's what I've been waiting for actually. Too bad it took so long for such short part to happen.

DAMMNNN! Erwin xD That whole plan. Hope he doesn't die for it. Cost him an arm already. I was actually surprised he came back from that and was the one to free Eren.

Ever since Ymir transformed I've had this image in my head of the Colossal Titan or one of the larger titans throwing Ymir's titan form like Colossus and Wolverine's "fast ball special".

It doesn't look like that's ever going to really happen but it still brought a smile to my face when the Armored Titan threw Titans like throw pillows.

Overall great episode. I love it when stories delve into a traitors inner thoughts and feelings. It hypes up the tension and drama and always makes the "sting of Betrayal" hit harder.
