Get a solid VPN, firewall, use proxies... They will most likely blacklist some websites so you just need to get around that.

If you are worried about Cobra 11 knocking down your doors just stay anonymous online.

Getting back at Germany after WW1 was what caused the Holocaust... Mr. Dumbass, even if you were joking, there's little to no sense behind it. The generation that ran it is already dead— or are you one of those fucktard nationalists that has no place in society, so you try to associate yourself with your country?

You make yourself look bad, no matter how you look at it. The joke wasn't even clever.

That's what caused WWII. The Holocaust was caused by a much longer tradition of anti-semitism that goes back even longer than WWI. Don't mix up the two.
I probably regret this post by now.

There may be such thing as government surveillance but if you consider the amount of citizens in a country and compare it to something as minor and difficult to completely narrow down such as whether or not some irrelevant and whitelisted individual is streaming/torrenting anime, you're completely fine mate.

It is illegal, but there is nothing anyone can do in at least the next 5 years.
I'm German and I think it's save to say that 80% of the government doesn't even know how Internet is spelled.

And even so it is almost impossible to find out who is streaming anime from illegal sources because it would require data from the streaming site itself which is most likely outside Germany and anonymous - no way they can touch that.
The reason why kinox users got punished is because they are dumb and the police somehow managed to get the data from their servers.

Tl;dr: You shouldn't care because it doesn't matter.

Pirating anime is illegal anywhere. Bern convention, wiki it.

Germany is just an outlier in that they actually enforce copyright pretty harshly. Nobody else gives a shit. Not about anime anyway.

You can use a US VPN to get most out of CR. That's what I do and pretty sure eng subs are still legal.

In all honesty, who the hell cares. I probably downloaded 3 million songs over the years and where is your god Merkel now?

Aquamirror said:

You don't need to browse the web with VPN in Germany, nobody cares about what you do, as long as you don't plan to bomb your boss or watch child porn.

Of course they can. ISPs are listening, you can even get arrested for ***hate speech*** on facebook/twitter.

ISPs are recording, not listening. They CAN listen if some you use specific words, they obviously won't tell us what, but they only can if there is something fishy. They probably don't care if I use p***hub or youp*** :^)

Yes, of course. Governments make a point of ignoring any big crimes (like stealing half the country's budget and leaving millions of teachers starving) and only punishing common folk.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

Germans, like french people, have multiple companies working in the anime internet broadcasting business, simulcast or not. They jjst prefer to ignore what doesn't come from the US invader competitor.

@Manaban I found a non-simultaneous anime broadcaster without any effort in less than a minute: http://www.viewster.com/genre/58/anime/
There is of course DAISUKI who is free, simulcasting only two or three series per season but keeping them a year or more for free watching.
I have no VPN so I can't test other sites to check availability, sorry. But KAZé, a french firma, is now implanted in Germany: since it is part of a free/paid simulcast website by us, there should be an offer of the same genre by you.
edit: https://sumikai.com/mangaanime/simulcast-season/simulcast-season-fruehjahr-2017-174888/ Right, I forgot Akiba-pass. This website looks exactly like wakanim ! Is it affiliated to the french company? o_O in any case, it uses german prices xD (8euros instead of 5, didn't checked the episode rental price)
edit: And you have the free satellite channel Animax Deutschland ! (I miss this one...)

About the price, it was kind of obvious to me: a luxemburg internet knowledge showed me DVDs and BrD prices from german publishers and they are not expensive... they are literally overpriced! (even series from a few years ago who fall between 9 and 30 euros in my country) With this in mind, I do not expect german simulcasters to be in the same price range as french ones.

I feel like this'll be similar to how porn is apparently banned in South Korea. It is illegal, but everyone does it and there is little to no enforcement on the law (also on Merkel, from what I've heard there are other things they'll probably need to be more concerned about).

well yeah

the only legal service i know of here is pretty expensive compared to CR and the library is pretty limited

it cost €10 and not €5 per month, or without monthly subscriber plan it charges on a per-episode basis, 99 cents to borrow the episode or €3 to purchase the whole episode

and i don't even know anything about its quality because i literally only heard about this because of advertisements on YT videos, but yeah

and if this is normal practice for legal alternatives here, then just looking at it is very easy to see why people would go CR instead, even with the shitty regional restrictions xD

It's really not about monitoring or the government going after people watching free streams. Not the public prosecution will be going after streamers, but the article suggest that the private rightholders might be able to charge viewers successfully if they gather the needed data.
