About a week, I guess. Depends on how much I like it, but that's an average timeframe. I watch plenty of shows simultaneously so I don't have the attention span to binge a show for 12 hours

It depends on how intresting i find the show, it could very well take a couple of months if its generally boring but if its fairly good it would take me 1-7 days depending if i have time to watch and if i watch any other shows at that time. If i really love the series i just cast everything aside untill im finished which would mean that it binge watch it without breaks untill the series is over and i enter a depressive state when i realise that it's over.

This depends on anime for everyone.

for ex, regarding me: anime like code geass(25) took me 1 week, on the other hand, zkc(51) also took 5 day and on the other hand, hajime no ippo(75) took me 1 week as well.

while, dtb(25) took me 2 week, nge(26) took me 2 week, fate zero(25) took me also 2 week.

(well there is one anime that took me 6 month...)

overall, time is dependant on taste.

It takes 12 hours if I'm really trying hard and the whole thing is available. A season if it's a seasonal show. It also depends on whether I'm watching it dubed or subbed, dubbed is faster; less pausing to read.

Depends on how much I enjoy the series, what else I'm watching alongside it, how busy my life is, and if I feel the need to force myself through it if I'm not enjoying it.

For instance, RE:Zero, a 25 episode series, took me about a month to finish, but there was a break of roughly a week and a half between episodes 8 and 9, and alot of starting and stopping during the next 4 episodes due to life issues. As opposed, F/Z took me about a week and 5 days during my first watch (Assuming we're considering both 'seasons' as one series). I enjoyed both of these series quite a bit, but alas, life wasn't bringing much to me while F/Z was airing.

Really depends, if I have a day off and the series is really good I can get it done in a day easy. If it's boring or I have other obligations then probably a weekend or a week depending on how boring or what's going on in my life. As for watching at increased speed, that's just stupid asf. I would say you care less for a hobby if you want to rush the good stuff, and if you don't like it even a little why dedicate 26 eps to it and rush through just to say you finished it? But whatever, to each their own I guess.

Why do you increase the speed?

Because anime are very slow paced. Animation costs money, going slow means it's cheaper. If I didn't speed it up I'd fall asleep between sentences or be forced to do other things like post on MAL while "watching" the show.

Do you feel the same enjoyment as a result?

No, it's more enjoyable because it isn't mind-numbingly slow and boring. You get exactly the same out of it, just faster. You will very quickly get used to it and not even notice it.

How much do you increase the speed by? I usually increase the speed of some Youtube videos by 1.5x. I'm quite interested in trying it out with some episodes of anime, but I'm worried that it may take some of the enjoyment out.

Most episodes are roughly 20 minutes (skipping the intro and ending) so I can watch a 26 episode series in just over 8.5 hours (~520 minutes)

Min 1 day (if the pacing is good)
Med 4 days (if the anime is good)

Anything else if the anime is shit I'll just put it on hold, but the average if the anime is decent with a good pacing would be 2 days.

Though it wasn't really a 26-episode series, I remember when I watched Psycho-Pass in less than 24 hours because of how I loved it. As long as I got the time, binge-watching is a 'Yes.' Whenever I don't, it'll usually take less than a week. That's also watching seasonal anime here and there.

If It was done and I decided to completely binge it, it would take me about 12 hours.

And why speed up anime? It seems impractical and unentertaining.

This is how I go most of the time. Although, speeding up anime doesn't do much harm, especially if you want to catch up with others. There are at least three anime from my list that I've sped up.

If you are doing that I think you should stop watching anime.

What wrong with watching 3.5x speed anime to get results? Some people in this world can't watch slow 24 minute episodes. It's only logical to do this if you dont have all the time in the world but still want to get results.

I usually speed it 1.2x. 3.5x the speed wouldn't be viable for me. Lol

A few years ago I would finish a 26 episode series in a day. Now it probably averages at around 1-3 weeks if I like it. If dislike the show it could take forever lol.

10.4 hours normal speed. 5.2 double speed. 3 hours at 3.5 speed.

Jokes aside though, why would you do this? You won't enjoy it as much if you don't watch at normal speeds.

For me, I would watch about 1 - 6 episodes a day depending on how much I like the anime. Can't watch more than about 6 a day because I won't be able to take the story in with all the things going on.

If it's really good or better, it would take me about 4 - 5 days.
If good, about 8 - 9 days.
If okay, then 10 - 13 days.
If bad, then 14 - ?. I may never finish or finish it in a few months.

Sometimes, the first few episodes would be boring, ending up with me drop it for a few months, then coming back realizing it's good/great, and quickly finishing a couple to a few days after.

Depends on my time but generally i will either finish it in a single sitting or take breaks and watch half one day and half the next day.

But if i am really busy then it might take a few days longer.

I do not understand the many comments of people taking a month+ i mean i get quite busy and i still manage my shows both anime and normal shows quite well as well as gaming, hell i multi task quite often and i will play while watching quite a lot and still maintain focus for the most part unless it's an fps but i been in rpg mode for awhile so i can focus more.

Nah, I like to just watch anime in my pace. If i found it interesting or I'm hooked at this type of series I can do it easily in one-two days.

Depends on the anime itself. I think Last Exile took me over a month to watch. The same thing with Spice and Wolf. The pace of those shows just seemed too slow. The Seven Deadly Sins Probably took a few days or more to watch.

BTW watching an anime on fast forward just seems like sacrilege.
