| It looks like that decided to adapt bits of both the blackswordsman arc and the lost children arc and made it into this 1st episode. Huh disappointing in that regard,,, probably to get us a quick introduction as those two arcs while good do not exactly play a major role for the big plot that invovles griffith and the dark hand as well as casca getting her sanity back. Well while i admit the cgi is not the best...it is not exactly the worst either i feel some people are taking way to heart to much...at the very least the music and the theme as well as bloodshed and gore that makes beserk great is there. the only thing i dont like is how the first epiode adapted bits of those formentioned arcs together rather than adapt it like it is in the manga...well at the very least starting from ep 2 it should be exactly like the manga...and judging from the first bit of the episode it looks liek they will also make it to the Conviction Arc and the Falcon of the Millennium Empire Arc |

| I'm gonna be honest and I hate to say this because I don't want to bash this show but... this CG is some of the worst I've seen. Guts himself looks awful, especially his armor. Not a fan of his voice either. The opening was the best part. F it, I've recently started reading the manga anyway. I'll stick to that. Dropped. |

| Yeah, the CG is pretty much awful, but I don't think the episode itself was particularly bad or anything. I mean, it could've started way worse than it has done, that's for sure. I don't like the ED, but I'm not exactly sure about how I feel about the OP yet. I'll give it another episode before deciding on that. Oh yeah, and why is Casca white now? |

| eh I like berserk for its story, I can stick around... My only annoyance that might get under my skin was the camera. I don't need 1000 angles and 1st person views when nothing is happening and then puck reaction faces when something is happening. |

| The CGI is fucking awful but I liked it overall, I liked that they decided to introduce Puck here as opposed to assuming we just knew him. Decent start. |

Deciding to change Casca's color and race in such a gross racist way already was WHAT and enough to make this disgusting, but the rest of episode was no better. This is not just offensive to Berserk as franchise or it's fans. This is offensive to human race. 1/5 for the episode. Might watch some more, but I don't think I will be able to finish this show while staying sane. |

| Apart from the terrible cg , it also changes the story (and casca...) and i bet we will see a lot of original content and ending.Don't know why everybody said the va was good , it was terrible . Puck voice is waaaay off. |

| The episode was rushed as hell and the gc is terrible but the ost is great as usual from Shiro Sagisu one of the few good points. |
| Well I liked the episode, Everything apart from the character design and some character-motions is good. Seems like they changed some stuff up, Isidiro and Farnese never met Guts at this point or rather which arc are they trying to adapt here? Is it gonna be the Black Swordsman arc? Or somewhere post-Lost Children arc? Cause events from both arcs are in this episode. Well as long as they decide to follow the manga once they finish setting up whatever they're trying to do I guess I'll be fine with. It's sad to see these Berserk get this kind of treatment though. That glorious Puck troll face XD |

| Say what you want. But I still like the old anime series (from the 90's I suppose?) much better. Would have liked a manlier voice for Puck though. His little transformations get me every time. |

This is all I care about. I kinda grew to like the animation style, but the fact that everyone is saying this adaptation is botched, I've all but lost faith. I am still going to see it for myself, but, man... all I want to see if each manga page, in that order, shown on the screen. Why do huge stories like One Piece and the like get that treatment, but something like Berserk cannot? |

| Wasn't a fan of the CGI, but I tried to endure it. I think I'm getting more used to it later on. But holy sh*t, those skeletons & tree thingies looked terrible. The OST was awesome, can't wait for later pieces. Seiyuu's were spot on. I only watched the series and movies back then, but it's a shame to hear that the adaptation isn't faithfully. |

| Used SVP for 60fps interpolation made the CGI bearable. Solid OST and OP/ED. But damn they juggled with three arcs there. It seems they skipped the Black Swordsmen arc but we got a part of Lost Children arc..I dunno what to think about it. Overall I found the episode good. |

| Berserk deserves so much more than this. Oh well, Gotta live with it. So far -Animation is fucking awful -Soundtrack is pretty good -OP is good, ED is average. -Adaptation wise, this episode was terrible. | it was OK. Crappy CGI aside, the thing that bothered me was jumping all over the place story-wise. I hope next episode is more concrete because this really isn't a good way of rebooting/reviving Berserk. Loved the manga, didn't care for the first animu, so I was excited to see that they were going to reboot it, sad to see that's it's CGI but I can get over that part (since I did love Kingdom and that had some awful CGI XD) if the story is told right. I shall keep watching. And yeah, the music is great. |
