Adverts don't get any more blatant than this.

As for me, I download everything off of torrents. If I can't find I torrent, I perform a few google searches, to find whatever I want on a direct download site. If that doesn't work, I search on Veoh, and I quickly download the video, before the admins remove it.

I usually buy it but I've downloaded Haibane Renmei, Chrno Crusade and the first 13 episodes of Fushigi Yugi. All other anime I've bought on DVD and watched in my house. Although I downloaded Howl's Moving Castle before buying it.

crunchyroll.com is where I watch most of my anime.
Though if I'm late in watching a certain series and it's already licensed I'll watch it at anime6.org

i'm also in bobo's situation. college blocks torrents, megaupload, and a lot of others. First trimester I followed things on crunchyroll, but over winter break i torrented all the shows i wanted to watch, put them on my external HD and went to college.

I can SOMETIMES download torrents, depending on who is seeding them, but if not i'll go to crunchyroll to watch them.

Last week I discovered http://www.zomganime.com/

Streaming sites are good if you can't find torrents for a particular anime or the torrent is dead. Like I couldn't find part 2 and 3 of 5 Centimeters per Second. ;_;

I download everything. Having to stream it on vid sites just totally destroys the artistic feel of the show when the animation should be viewed in its full quality.

99% of the time I connect my laptop to my BRAVIA KDL-40X3500AEP. But sometimes I just watch on the laptop.

Streaming is so wrong quality is ultra low.

i still can dl, since bandwith is not an issue for me. usually, i dl new series. for old ones, i watch them online, and if i really like it, then i dl a batch.

is there a list anywhere of colleges where you can't torrent
(like:
torrenting being banned
limited bandwith
ports other than 80 blocked
)

i kind of want to make sure so i can prepare the summer before.

I just want to know how different people watch their anime. Like me, I ususally watch mine on my computer monitor in my computer chair. While I know my sister watches it on her bed. I've even watched entire series on my ipod. Just curious to see how people enjoy their anime

Laptop screen, computer chair, 2-3 feet away from screen. Since my computer chair is crap, I have a sofa pillow on it and thin sleeve blanket. Comfy. :D I prefer my room dark -- although... a lot of anime remind us to watch it in a good distance away from the TV in a well lit room. (( >ω<)

Watching them at night or midday when people rest or sleep is the best times for me, so there's no disturbance. Snacking when watching anime is almost a-must. If I can find one that is.

i usually watch it on my big monitor (thats not flatscreen, therefore doesnt distort the colors) but now that im in college i just watch on my laptop, either by my desk or on my bed, depends on how i feel. Usually i watch with headphones because my roommate is sleeping / hw,or has the tv on in our suite's common room and i dont want to miss any of the bgm/sound of the show im watching. if im the only one in the dorm (at like 3-4 pm) i'll watch without headphones... sometimes lol.

oh, and i cant watch anything without a light being on. it hurts my eyes after a while and im also paranoid about losing my 20/20 vision lol

Have two Sony Bravia LCD screens in my room now, so either on the 27" connected through an RGB cord, or on my 32" connected through S-Video. I'm going to buy a few converters to I can make a long enough RGB cord going to my 32" so I can just use the 27" as a screen, but I can't find them at any electronic stores.

Anyway, I'm usually either on my bed laying on my stomach or back, big comforter over me, nice and comfy watching my anime, only the light from my computer monitor on. The 27" is a bit too close(only about 3' away" so it's a little hard to keep watching my anime on there for too long, but my 32" is the perfect length away from me, so I enjoy watching from that TV more.

At nights I use earphone + pawn the Volume Control to high and also off the lights (I did that when watching TTGL. It was fun)

At home, I generally watch animu on my computer. 17" inch flatscreen monitor, and I also have this Ikea chair I use to sit on (It's not made for a computer desk, but w/e).

I watch animu on the go either on a laptop or my Creative Zen. It has a pretty nice widescreen so it's all good.

On monitor by my desk usually, when I'm getting tired (u know what I mean :D) I'm moving on my bed. I prefer watching when it is dark outside, dunno why, better atmosphere or what, and then lights off I know it is bad for eyes but can't help it, my eyes are already worn out xD

Would prefer to watch in comfortable armchair but first I need to buy one >.>

I generally find anime I think I'd be interested in and look it up on Youtube or something, then if I like it I find out who subs it and download it via bittorrent. I put most shows in iTunes and my iPod so I usually have to convert them from .avi to .mp4.

I usually watch them on my ancient (although flatscreen) CRT monitor in Quicktime right after I download them and rewatch them in iTunes or on iPod. Most of the time I watch a few episodes after work (12AM ~ 3AM) in my bedroom, in the dark, in my (highly) uncomfortable desk chair,while snacking on something (if there is anything).

If it's fansubs I usually watch them on the computer. If I watch it with a friend I sit on my couch which is adjacent to the computer and full screen it. For some reason I never full screen it when I'm watching it alone...

As for DVDs I watch them in my family room on my 52". I cuddle up in a blanket and turn the fireplace on so the room is nice and toasty.

I watch from my couch about 8' away from my TV. I live by myself so I have my computer set up in my living room and use my 50" Sony SXRD as a secondary monitor for watching all my anime and Tv shows. Currently I only have it going through S-Video which causes some clipping and resolution problems but when I next upgrade my computer I willl get a video card that can handle hdmi.
