Well, I've been making sigs for over two years now, and I can't say the first 3 months were the easiest. But in the two years since then, I've improved the most, learnt new styles, and developed my own. Here are my favourite pieces of work (in the order they are in my Photobucket).

This is the first sig I made and loved. I made a few before, but never before this did I think of my work as beautiful. Love this sig to this day.

Text was hard in this one, but I liked the outcome in the end. This is one of the few sigs based around a tut though.

This is one I did as a request, and in about 10 - 20 minutes. I just fiddled around and actually came up with something I liked!

This is a Saikano sig, and I shouldn't need to explain all the links to the show there are! She's trapped in the boxes, and I made her blue 'cause that's the colour she is when she's the "angel of death".

Using vectors and various effects, I made this sig, although I'm not wholly sure about it. I've been told it's nice though, so.

A sig I adore for its depth. Believe me, I'm only showing the sigs I like, so I'll cut out "I adore it" now. xD Well, this one's mainly winter themed, as you can see.

The stock for this just spoke out volumes of loneliness. The colours of red and purple were meant to bring out a sense of her interior, and exterior, pain.
Made this specially for halloween. I created the bg from default brushes and lens flares, although the tree, web and spiders were halloween brushes.

Since I felt the violin to be a deep and soulful instrument, I decided to use deep colours to express that.

Love to make scene sigs from scratch once in a while. Took a time though. >_<

My most recent sig. I started off with the girl alone and it looked like she was searching for something. I decided it was a way forward, since I'm looking for a way forward myself at the moment (metaphorically speaking). I had to add shadow and depth to the stock after creating the background using default brushes, except for with the stars and tree branch. I know the colours are somewhat dull, but it's meant to be night and she's in the middle of nowhere with no other light so... :P

Well, I saw the stock and Rakka looked almost in despair, as if at a loss. I know she's falling in the anime, but I wanted to add more depth and something to show that even sinking is a struggle and not an easy ride, which I did with the bubbles. Water is denser than air.

Made for myself and my ex after our first breakup; a tribute really. I'll stop there... >_<

One of my more creative sigs, I used the film strip to show how the memories play through her mind like a movie. They're vivid, yet not so colourful because of the pain she feels, which is why I made the colour slightly grey. As for the colourless bg, well, the memories I wanted to stand out as her happiness. |
