"I hate it when they insert a love line in a drama that shouldn't have anything to do with love" completely agree!! They insert romance everywhere K dramas can't go without romance really. It annoys me too. I used to love romance when I first started watching them a decade ago but then they add it everywhere and it distracts the core story (if it's revenge drama for example) and it just gets on my nerves! lol.

Yes I've seen 갑동! I watch anything for Lee Joon (the only idol actor that I like), he has earned his credit with me as an actor. 갑동 was one of his best performances. I agree with you about the story line, it started well and then the writer just didn't know what to do anymore... but I finished it because of Lee Joon he was awesome.

오 5월에 생일인가요? 저도요 ㅎㅎㅎ 5월 24일! 혹시 쌍동이 별자리요?
저도 일본어 지금 배우고 있어요 ^^

Why don't you watch hentai or ongoing series?
Marooya Mar 11, 5:21 PM
I agree one of the reasons is definitely lack in character development, but I'd also add the differences in the writing. There are hardly any classy vibes coming from the recent scripts (it's more lazy writing imho). I mean name any of the recent anime series that can compete with the old classic ones or you can even manage to remember after finishing it? I may enjoy them while I'm watching but I don't remember any of them once I'm done. They hardly leave an impact or impression on me (of course there are exceptions). It's hard to put it into points, as to what the recent anime lack in comparison but for example Studio Ghibli is still maintaining the sincerity, depth and creativity within their movies.

Mind you, I am still very much an anime fan more than anything else and my addiction and passion is still on I just miss the kind of anime that will have me enjoying every second and minute I'm not even asking for something mind blowing haha. But you see it's the same problem with dramas as well.
Well, it's worse in dramas to be honest.

"I don't think any of the new shows I've watched can compare to how much I liked the anime I watched when I was a kid". Yes exactly :)

Thank you in advance :)

I'm a Jdrama/Kdrama fan as well but not Jpop/Kpop fan though haha. Nice to meet you :)

sorry random comment but you haven't updated your profile since 2014? that's kind of amazing

Haha although I rarely re-watch things, FY is one of the exceptions I just love it so much and my feelings for it never changed :D
I'm an old anime fan I watch them since I was 6-7 years old my passion for them never dies but as time went on I've became picky with my choices. Unlike mangas, anime are harder to pick especially the new ones it's really hard to find something as good as the older ones :(

I'm amazed by your list! You have a long list of completed anime :D
Maybe you could recommend me some of the good recent ones since it seems we have similar taste!
It seems you loved Akatsuki no Yona, I really hated that anime. Even though I watched it before all the hype. I was surprised later that it was recommended as something similar to FY :/ That anime was too shallow and flat!

Yes, where are you from? How old are you if I may ask :)
Marooya Mar 1, 8:40 AM
You're welcome! I believe I watched it for the 1st time after it aired 5-6 years so about 15 years ago XD
But I re-watch it a lot almost every year :)
What about you?

Thank you. I just finished the ranked version. Not 100% happy with 'em, but here you go:
I'll ask the AWC-Mod to include the link to these versions in the challenge-post.

Sorry to bother but do you know any other Animes like Junjou Romantica or Super Lovers!? I saw your review on gakuen something and you said there wasn't a lot of action so I chose not to watch it (I'll give the first ep a try) but any other reccomendations?
liam57 Oct 4, 2016 7:51 PM
Very nice list. Lots of your reviews have gotten me to second think about the anime in question, and they were pretty decent. :)
Sorakaa Jun 12, 2016 8:28 PM
Sorry to bother you but I had a question about one of the anime you watched. You did a review on it ages ago but I hope you still remember it.
Hachimitsu to Clover.

You said "What a wonderful story. It’s a good mix of bittersweet growing pains, salty teardrops, and huge doses of soul searching, all brought about by Love. Ah yes, Love. That is what defines the plot of Honey and Clover. Through this anime, we see how love can go both ways – it can send you flying in the sky, or it can leave you with a knife in the back."

Now I'm all for the sad stuff in story but what does the "bittersweet" part mean? And is the ending shitty? Because I cannot stand anything with shitty endings.
