Old crazy dude with the gun thinks Amane and Yuuji are dating but I doubt that is really the case beyond appearances. Somehow don't see this anime actually having something concrete like that occurring when there is a harem that needs to be maintained. Ending is absurd of course but the whole show has been stupid so that doesn't surprise me. Only question is if I should continue the hate watch into the sequels. Its fascinating how bad this all is honestly.
4/10 perhaps. In the way something terrible can still somehow entertain a little.
Annoyed me. How can the old man say that about his daughter and say that Amane did filth to get out when his own daughter was the one who did such vile acts. Amane's story really has messed with my head
The first 2-3 episodes made me think this was just another fanservice bait with cliche characters but I went on I was surprised with how much I liked each of the stories of the girls. Solid 7/10.
The ending was not so intense as the last episodes, but it was a small surprise so it is ok. The biggest thing that hit me were the voices at the end leading to that his sister really is alive :O I wonder if they will be enemies :O
I liked Michiru and Amane stories and characters the most.
Yumiko was average with big surprise at the end, but her character is not so great and hard to justify.
I dislike Sachi and her act and her story is trash, but at least we know why she is crazy. She would probably suicide if she faced what Amane did, but maybe the age difference...
Makina is annoying and I am not a fan of little imouto act. She even crossed a line so I also dislike her. Her story was ok and good that her mother died, but it was just a copy of movie Leon.
I really liked the animation it was not static.
8/10

I hate it when anime/manga that I enjoyed ends, especially when there could be much longer plot and when I love main heroine :P
I wish I had magic glasses that let me see real world in anime colors ;)
This was painful to watch even as a Visual Novel reader, reasons: plot holes, characters lack depth and development ( it feels it's made just to be the way it is), story makes no sense sometimes.
I know it can't stay true to a 50+ hours of reading but it's way too butchered to appreciate this as a whole.
I enjoyed seeing it being animated and some episodes ( the first episodes and Amane arc)
The anime is good, but just being good isn't doing the original visual novel justice. The Fruit of Grisaia visual novel was a legitimate masterpiece and trying to cram it into thirteen episodes will make it seem disjointed and unfulfilling.
Without change,we end up becoming the very person we hate.
I was dead until the moment I met you. I was a powerless corpse pretending to be alive. Living without power, without the ability to change my course, was bound to lead me to a slow death.
The great visual novel of Grisaia no Kajitsu's anime adaption! I hope it is going to be successful, like the Amagami SS style.
The greatest moment of my life... is about to begin! The long awaited arrival!
[ Episode 1:] It isn't flawless in staying true to the Visual Novel. But I love how they nailed the general concept of everything. What's great is they also kept the music of the VN. What I disliked though was the added fanservice that did not exist in the VN. And they could of showed Amane's tits, I dont know why they hid that. They also added a few tiny quirks that weren't from the VN. And the ending was spoiling the secrets that we originally (the VN players) are supposed to find out later while playing the heroine's route.
But overall, fucking awesome.
[Episode 2:]
I love how they kept the chibi comedy sketches as well. Unfortunately though they give out less hints to who Yuuji is and his monologues when he thinks to himself. And they also shorten a lot of the conversations.
[Episode 3:]
They really nailed the comedy style of it while keeping the originality of the visual novel. And my favorite scene where I fell in love with Michiru! And Yuuji's VA really nails it in every aspect, what great acting.
But I really gotta say that I hate the unnecessary panty shots...
[Episode 4-:] Michiru's route! My most favorite heroine out of all the heroines. Wtf!? Why did they cut off the re-enactment kiss? (on 2nd watch they did kiss but skip the shot of kissing) And it was in the living room too, not the hallways. And she didn't run away either, she just got completely embarrassed to the point she was awkwardly silent and walked away slowly. Disappointing... And holy fuck they skipped way too much! Just in over 20 minutes they already went to Meowmel's death...
[Episode 5:] Man wtf they already skipped to Michiru's conclusion and ending of her route with just a second episode, THIS IS TOO RUSHED!!!
[Episode 6:] The start of Sakaki's route. Excluded with the intro of their first interactions in the introductory play of the Visual Novel. And the story presented in another timeline direction by showing glimpses of the unknown that we originally learn later in the visual novel. And not in the beginning of her route. They changed the fight adding rain and no dialogue to it, make it a few seconds as well and less henchmen. Rushed again.
... Well, at first I didn't want to complete this anime until I finished the whole Visual Novel so I don't get spoil in any way. Since I have not completed Makina or Sachi's route yet. But seeing at how they skip too many things and rush the story extremely fast it won't hurt too much. --Finishing Yumiko's route they end it in the middle of her route without the escaping.
[Episode 7:] Sachi's route. ...I have no idea if any of it will be true to the VN but I'll write it anyway. It seems that Sachi and Yuuji used to be childhood friends, which sounds impossible to me, adding that there were no hints in the VN. I spoiled myself a while ago with the manga that she's a psycho of sorts. Michiru asked Sachi to get rid of the test. And ... you know Sachi. She set a bomb in the school. But Yuuji deactivated them. At 10 years old she had an argument with her parents, when they went for a hug to makeup a truck hit her parents and killed them. Rushed conclusion, she feels worthful to her parents from their letter and see's her mother.
[Episode 8-9:] Makina's route
Very rushed with a few of the comedic scenes and action scenes, barely clarifying what her story is about while only showing some tiny insight. Alright adaptation.
[Episode 10-13:] Amane's route
Starts off from when he starts dating her and her tragic story of surviving her school trip, with Kazuki Kazami "dead".
Slightly rushed but very good adaptation from the visual novel of that event. It's one of if not my favorite most dramatic event of Grisaia no Kajitsu.
... Unfortunately, too rushed but a decent overall experience. It's nice to see some scenes properly adapted.
Watched this after reading the Visual Novel... If any normie is reading this before watching this just go read the VN. It looks to me that this was designed for VN readers as there are a lot unexplained and taken out of context. It's still good but the VN is flat out a masterpiece.
