Yea I've been trying to avoid it as well for the same reasons but recently I had the longest stretch I was actually at home for most of the day for like 2.5 months and I started reading it again out of sheer boredom.

I can usually muster one or two posts before I reach that point. Today replying to one fintan post in a loli thread was enough for example. I'm out, watching some Golgo or some shit while EoE finishes downloading.
I probably regret this post by now.

whaaaat

Until recently a lot of my anime watching was spent revisiting favorites and putting newer stuff on the backburner. I usually don't even give anything a 10 unless I've watched/read it twice, and if I do it's because I feel like it was executed so well there's not much that could be done to improve it (Vagabond, Vinland Saga, Dorohedoro, etc.)

Maybe if I was born earlier I would've been Marco Polo or James Cook because I just love discovering new things. I've been tempted to re-watch Death Note or HxH but I just feel as if I'm missing out on new things.

Death Note is surprisingly re-watchable despite depending heavily on the trills of what's going to happen next.

Oh, hi tsud! How has your retirement been? Any progress in acknowledging the masterpiece that One Piece is? Did you manage to appreciate Osaka in Azumanga Daioh? Did you finally understand that the conclusion of Welcome to the NHK! is the best the show could have brought? Did you reach enlightenment with Miyazaki?

@TripleSRank

Quite understandable, though I don't think there's been any significant change lately. The OPM meme gets exhausting, but other than that I don't see anything much worse than the routine of the last 5 years.

Oh you :)

I think I don't have any one piece ''hate'' left in me, because I can't remember anything about it lol. I think the arguments and quarls with it's fans was what kept my 'hate' going and my memory of it. Don't even remember where I stopped reading it.

nah it was just Josuke, Okuyasu, Koichi and Jotaro. Joseph is probably going to keep the brown jacket and white hair.

It's just because nobody still watches Lance' Masque. Concrete Revolutio kind of had it coming, starting the way it did and all, but it's still pretty sad.

Death Note is kind of like Fate/Zero where having hindsight for how it all ends makes the journey to that point 10x more enjoyable. You'll likely pick up on things you didn't pay much attention to before or at least see them in a different light no pun intended. Episode 7 is probably my favorite one in the first half of the series.

I can't say HxH has as much re-watch value as One Piece or FMA but it is pretty cool to see how it gradually got more mature with every arc (sans maybe Greed Island) while still not feeling like a completely different series by the end.

I totally feel ya. I used to rewatch my 4-5 favorite TV series all the time before I got more into anime but I've been feeling much more inclined to watch new stuff ever since then. Though I found that rewatching something from my early anime days can be like discovering it for the first time in a sense. There are a lots of shows I used to enjoy a lot just because I was fairly new to the medium and storytelling in general, so it's always great to rewatch a show that was actually very good, now being able to appreciate a lot more details about it. Spice and Wolf was such a case for me.
I probably regret this post by now.

Honestly I liked part 4 Joseph, he was still lovable and had a bit of that old spark in him when it counted, but his old age had taken it's toll on him.
His moment with Josuke in the Achtung Baby arc was heartwarming.

Yeah I rewatched Fate/zero because my brother wanted to watch it. It was just as good if not better. I've also seen the first 10 or so DN episodes a shit ton because my mate has it on dvd and just puts it on in the background when I go around to his to game. Those and Dragon Ball are pretty much the only ones I've seen multiple times due to other people.

I've always found watching clips on YT to suffice.

yeah, the episode discussion is just like graveyard of this season.

Yeah I've only been watching anime for like 2 years, I will definitely forget some shows and have a blast re-experiencing when a little more time passes. You've been on MAL for 5 years and probably been watching anime longer than that, so I'm not surprised it must feel like you're rediscovering it.

It's one of the worst directed anything I have seen in a while, 0 impact on anything except if you're one of those who cry just by looking at the Digimon.

I'll watch the rest of it, just... not today, I need to watch something exciting after a large dose of Clannad and Digimon just does not provide that. First 20 minutes are like all stillshots of really mediocre backgrounds and character designs with some occassional dialogue or two, quite bad I'd say, but I suppose it gets a bit better later on. Still a shame that even with such a long time they took to make the movie it looks like ass.

Tales of Zestiria special on the other hand is really exciting, I'm really hyped for its adaptation.

Ohhhh nehmind. I guess that would explain why alot of your list has newer and/or more well-known titles. For some reason I assume everyone was a Toonami kid like myself and had all the time in the world to re-watch stuff before the responsibilities of post-high school life took away most of your free time.

It's probably more that I've finally grown tired of it rather than AD changing, other than the OPM meme.

Worded differently, perhaps I could say the lack of change in AD is what can be so annoying about it.
