what do you think of harem genre?

| I don't like inconclusive endings and contrivances. Since most harem don't really have endings, or the lead is made to be unnaturally indecisive, or terrified of sex, I don't like most harem. Bakemonogatari and Kimi no Iru Machi are probably the only two harem anime that didn't annoy me. |
| They're mostly garbage with very few exceptions to the rule. The worst of the bunch are those ones that blend Light Novel harem antics with super serious fantasy themed story lines and borderline hentai levels of fanservice. I like Monogatari and Kaminomi though. |

| I avoid them like the plague. It's bad enough that the MC is a walking pussy magnet while being uninteresting as hell but then there's the bland girls thrown in that fit every annoying archetype in anime. Not forgetting the cockblocks that lead up to no one girl being chosen. As for Reverse Harems, I like looking at 'em but if the characters are uninteresting as well then I'll drop that shit harder than my mixtape. Just kidding, I don't drop anything but my mixtape. |

| i find them to be boring. The romance aspect of them is just straight up nonsensical, and i tend not to find japanese comedy funny. Every Harem is also pretty much just all the cliches jam packed into 1 show. Which makes it predictable since they all do it and it makes the characters less than 1 dimensional, and the tropes are just too many. |

| harem is a bad genre by definition it does not allow any plot progression because as soon as the protagonist choose any girl the harem ends most of the jokes this kind of show have are repetitive and the characters are mostly generic |

| Probably the most cliché genre out there. Not saying that's bad though. Most of the time it's paired with comedy and it can give you good laughs. Clichés are part of anime too, you know? Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the harem is what I say :) |

| I feel as though they are overdone and in general they do not catch my interest. There are exceptions, but if it's mainly for the harem then it probably will not interest me. (A full cast of a main girl MC and a harem would be amusing. I know there are a select few out there, one of which doesn't count since it just removes the MC from the original material.) |

| When a show puts effort into contorting their story so that it deliberately excludes characters of a certain gender, because they know that's what their audience will spend money on, to me it's like watching a commercial for tampons. Just a manufactured product simply not meant for me. |

| Considering Tenchi Muyo was the first series/franchise/whatever that really got me into anime, I can't totally hate the genre. It's definitely not something I seek out now though. If I want romance, I'll just watch romance. |

| I can't say I really have much of an opinion on it. It's not a genre that I really take time to watch. But that's just me. I rather enjoyed TWGOK though. |
| I like a lot of em if the harem consists of females I like, which is quite often :) (though there is always that one girl I can't stand >.< Please harems, get me a full cast I can get behind!) Obviously, I'm not going to like it if that one female I don't like actually wins, but otherwise they're an enjoyable romp. |

| I love harems. As long as they make the female cast likable. 98% of the harems I've seen so far I have liked alot. I personally like the beta male character cliche. It makes it funny when they get into certain situations IMO Harem full of Yandere plz <3 |

| Generally I dislike harems, though there are a few good ones. I generally seem to dislike the ones that have the harem as the forefront of the anime and focus on pretty much nothing else but the harem. Shows like the Monogatari series don't do this and just have interesting themes and witty dialogue with unusual editing, which makes it a lot more enjoyable since there's more to it than just a harem. |

| It's been marred by bad LN adaptations for nothing more than laziness for a profit, they would be better if these weren't being adapted all the time or they find good LNs to adapt and took the time to market them properly and a few poor choices in manga being adapted. |
