Yea, even if 3 girls has a 1-sided crush it would be considered a "harem" here, right? So by the definition here, if 2 pedophile rapists had "interest" in a little girl, she would have a "reverse harem", wow, MAL, good job! You guys are setting examples! Really the high ground of morality here! Who needs something like "consent" anyway? As long as 3 gazes of the same gender come across someone of the opposite gender it's automatically a "(reverse) harem"! |

Grey-Zone said: Of the 3 only 1 has romantic interest in the MC. If you actually paid, you know, attention to the series, then you would see that it's like that. In one of the pages you posted, right next to it one of the girls clearly says that she has NO INTEREST in the MC (and doing so in a calm, sincern manner, i.e. no "tsundere saying the opposite" BS). But I don't blame you, taking things out of context to appear "superior" and "be right in the internet" is a common occurance. Nowadays no one cares about facts anyway, right? Instead everyone makes sure the facts fit their own opinions instead. It may be because of my filthy secondary eyes, but those pictures seem to allude to romantic interests of all three. Perhaps "So before the day is over, I'll confe--" may be misleading. Confe-- could be the start of multiple words and I can see how statistically confess may be low compared to the numerous possibilities. Albeit the page after seems to infer that she actually did mean confess, which is usually effectuated from romantic feelings for a person. Perhaps it was the author's ingenuity showing through and the generic well formulated main girl was misunderstanding and it is merely the illusion of romantic interests-- perhaps used as a plot point for a grander scheme of things. Also the other girl clearly kissed him, which again used to infer some sort of romantic or sexual feelings. But, she may be foreign and it might be her way of saying hello and she meant absolutely nothing of it. She did call him Onii-sama, clearly no self respecting female would want to date their own brother. No one has possibly shown that before-- it's obviously a platonic love. It's like how in Mahouka Miyuki's feeling for Tatsuya are perfectly normal and healthy. I have a little sister, she never gave kissed me so passionately as shown in the panel, she clearly doesn't love me (platonically). Hey, we're just dumb, ignorant secondaries. Lordzeru is clearly making some egregious claims, the pictures absolutely do not infer anything because obviously we aren't looking at it through a correct perspective. There is no way those panels infer any romantic tension at all. Pay no heed to the obviously incorrect deductive work of inferior people. |

I came here to only check out the new cast (and I did)…… I was a bit surprise that there were 2 pages (almost 3 now) of comments already though (I mean this is just news about additional cast announcement), then realized than most of them are not about the cast, but lots of arguing and hate comments about trivial and off-topic things,…… and then I remembered! This is MAL. Cast announcement for LN = usually lots of bashing and derailing. At this point you would think people that do no care about these specific LN types of series (for personal reasons, which I fine with) would not bother to comment on them anymore. Why waste your time doing so really? P.S. Cast looks solid. PV was alright. I wasn’t fan of the song played during the PV whatsoever (is that going to be the OP?). I’ve mixed feeling regarding Ali Project doing the ED. I either really like her songs or dislike them (it’s always 50/50 change for me). |

Some of the people in this thread are the very same ones who defended the SAO and Mahouka LNs, and vanished once they realized that people are not falling for it. This is another such case. Actually SAO was very well received, at least until the first half of the first season ended, from there on it went downhill. But if anything a lot of the hate for SAO was evidently by people disliking its popularity, i.e. the "hate" was more targeted at the SAO fans than the series itself, after all most arguments were along the lines of "why are so many people liking this bad show?", without giving any real reasons why it was "bad". Though to be honest I am quite indifferent about it myself, seeing SAO as "above average", but not lower. Not sure about the second season as I have yet to catch up with it. Mahouka, while I never read the LN, I can see it had the problem of having a lot of lore (yea I am talking about 5 minutes of exposition per episode about the mechanics of magic, this DOES work in LNs, but NOT in Anime). It really suffered from that I must say, but just from that I can be sure that the anime is absolutely not enough to evaluate the LN. |

I've been reading it's manga and as far as the PV goes, everything seems to be great. For those whov'e never read it, this isn't a Harem and despite it's story being so common, this show is pretty fun to watch and has a bit of different feel than other you know stories. Really looking forward to it. |
