Ah now that is quite something this episode. Even the OP theme song has changes.

We finally reach the darker stuff especially with the undead during the scenes inside the school and at night. Some of the first half still had lighthearted moments though but the episode itself got dark. Dem zombies...

What a thrilling ending as well.

First of all, Lerche did a goddamn job changing the OP slowly with zombies apocalypse.

Next, I give a huge applause for the writers and Lerche to adapted it from manga. They did it well.

10/10 for OP, and 8.5/10 for episode.

And, It looks like confirmed that Lerche will change the OP with zombie apocalypse slowly in every episodes.

Another great episode, the OST is surprising the hell out of me, I didn't expect it to be this good.

The change of Yuki shivering to instead replaced to being comforted by Megu-nee, giving Megu-nee a better role for the anime which makes it forgivable.

OP changes were fun to see.

If episode 2 somehow doesn't succeed in hooking you like episode 1 did, episode 3 definitely will. It will piece together the past 2 episodes hauntingly well.

They adapted ch. 2-3 in this ep. with some changes because of Miki's presence. They probably will have to expand next ep with additional scenes cause ch. 4 is really short.

To bad ch. 36-37 are still untranslated. After last cliffhanger I want more so bad.

After episode 1 I was wondering how they'd handle this adaptation but after this I have no worries. Love how they changed the opening, it seems all of the extra characters before were just there to sell the twist.

The test of courage was done well and it looks like Miki's story is still intact as well.

Next week is such a long way away.

I'm amazed how this can manage to be a suspense and SoL at the same time.

Can't wait until it becomes a legit horror anime tho

Also, need details about the zombies, like, do they just die off if there's no one to eat, or is it purely infection driven? Also, the question of how difficult they are to kill or if they could move without limbs. Crawlers would be a nice touch

Despite how amazing the first episode was, I was a bit sceptical about how sustainable this show would be in the long run now that the twist has been revealed, but this episode was just as awesome as the first one. I love how blatant the contrast is between the cutesy moe parts and the darker horror aspects. The camera angles are also a work of art with how it shows you JUST enough to get the wrong idea of the situation all the time

Also the changes to the OP was very smooth, and probably for the best anyway since it'd have been a bit out of place in the long run otherwise

Still AotS for me thus far

Oh indeed.

Was kinda afraid of how they'd adapt this due to Miki + other stuff, but daaaamn.
By the sounds of things Miki's story is intact, as mentioned earlier.

They actually made an OP just for ep1 to troll people and changed some stuff :O RESPECT!!
It just feel so F***n weird seeing bloody zombies walking along with that upbeat happy song playing XD

There's some pretty friggin intense OSTs here.

Really wonder how this zombie apocalypse happened? Was it all at once and how far is it covering...etc

For manga readers are all these questions answered in the manga yet? And are they censoring the hits with the shovels?

So am I getting it right? The teacher IS in MC's head, right? Because she keeps disappearing. I guess it is MC's self-preservation or the aware part of her subconscious I guess.

Like the opening change. What would be cool is if it would progressively change over the course of show as (i suspect) things go darker.

I think it is obvious she is not? I mean she keeps disappearing from the other girls POV just like the students in Ep1 and she does not directly interact with anyone except the main character and the interaction with the main, as I said feels more like expression of aware part of subconsciousness that kicks in for self-preservation.

Does anyone else find it strange how both the zombies and the pictures on the yen had a blur effect added to them?

None of the zombies faces were ever clearly shown either, its always concealed by some kind of darkness when not blurred.

Gonna make a wild assumption here early on, but I don't think the girls are the same as the zombies. The faces are blurred so that you don't see how they compare to the girls. It could be in an alternated dimension/world where humans look drastically different and the girls are mutants.

Don't worry, it happenes in the manga too, the faces of the zombies are always really dark, they looks like more ghosts in the manga.

I REALLY want to like this, but for some reason I'm finding it really hard to after this episode. The zombie stuff was interesting, but why not actually show them properly rather than blurring them to hell like that? Also, it's not very easy to care about the girls' blatant psychological issues from this apocalypse when I don't even give a crap about them. After all, they're stupid enough to keep Yuki around despite the fact that her insanity is putting them in way more danger than necessary. Seriously, they're insane to play along with her test of courage in that situation. They should just kill her and be done with it. That way they'll be less at risk and their supplies will last longer.

Looks like it's another zombie show that's severely weakened by a retarded and unnecessary gimmick (fanservice in HOTD, CGDCT in this).

Not as badly censored as you'd think. The manga isn't particularly violent, it relies mostly on atmosphere.

It was pretty good. The SoL wasn't as tiring this time and the music was so fitting. It was a pretty faithful one except that after reading the manga I'm a little sad they didn't show Megu-Nee, Yuki and Yuuri in Kurumi's dream and the scene where Kurumi stab the head of her senpai. But it was pretty good nonetheless.

Lerche sure put some effort into misleading people with the OP. Now that all the zombie stuff are added in, it's kind of weird while a cheerful song plays along with it.

It's pretty apparent that Megu-nee is dead with all those hints, particularly her sudden presence in the off-limit area and how's she's only active when shown from Yuki's POV. Bits of Kurumi's unpleasant flashbacks were handled rather well.

I think the blurring is censoring. The dark misty stuff is just an adaptation of the manga's style though.

There's a big blurred mound in the ED as well. Curious as to what it is.

Loved the contrast between the SoL scenes and the zombie scenes. Poor Kurumi having to kill her senpai when he turned. That test of courage scene was done very well. Lmao when Yuki started the "nummy stick trend". Overall, another fantastic episode. Would be pretty funny if the OP song becomes distorted as the anime goes on. That would be very disturbing.

I thought she was real at first. But yeah, you're right. She is probably part of Yuki's subconsciousness. The tutoring part was weird though because how would Yuki know that she was wrong? But eh, that could just be her pretending to play dumb or something, I guess.

It would be cool to see the first version OP vs. this version OP (if anyone knows how to do that).

Funny, cos I'm not being edgy for replies: I'm simply stating my opinion. Even if she is the emotional crutch, Yuki is a potential compromise for their safety. If that discussion they had at the start of the episode is any indication, they can see that as well, but obviously they don't want to kill her or leave her to die, which is understandable, but they're in a zombie apocalypse. They don't have the luxury of sentimentality if they want to survive.
