| It was kind of funny the first few times I saw it. A cheap chuckle. A few times after that I just stopped reacting to it. A few times after I stopped reacting to it, I started becoming irritated by it and now whenever I see it, I close my eyes and sigh in exasperation. If I'm in a bad mood from a shitty day at work or something I might just delete the whole show from my hard drive. |

That's not true nowadays though. We have lots of cases where, sadly, authors are afraid of enraging the feminists and in some way try to appease them. To see it you have to look no further than school books for mathematics. In examples where a boy and a girl argue about something it never ends with the boy being right and the girl being wrong. The girl can be right, or both wrong or both right, but you will never see a "boy who is smarter than a girl". Well at least that's what happened in the books I used when I went to school. There were also quite a few "polically green oriented" authors for my English books, so political bias is often included here. Don't know about cases outside Germany though. |

You forgot to add that in the universe of these series males have an absurdly huge resilience and none of these scenes of physical abuse ever result in permanent effects.
