Why do girls in anime beat up guys for no reason at all and everybody is alright with it? It doesn't make sense, for example when the girl falls down stairs and lands on the guy (usually she lands near his pelvic area/leg area) immediately blames him calling him a pervert and she hits/kicks him and bystanders are fine with it. To me this is NOT comedy, honestly it is a an outrage for me whenever i see this, because violence against men DOES exist

What would happen if we put it backwards

A guy fell down the stairs and landed on her and immediately blames her calling her a pervert and hits her? its awful right? but when it happens to a man its comedy?

If possible i would like the opinions of male and females

Thanks.

Because the man is supposed to sit there and take whatever kind of crap a girl throws at him because girls are weak and men are strong. If a man is weak then he can't get the pussy. But if a girl is weak all she needs to do is call for help for the slightest misunderstanding so that she can feel better at a man's expense. After all, why empathize when the law and society are on your side?

Pretentious.

At the beginning I thought you were doing it on purpose, as a parody of some sorts..

Why do girls in anime never lock the door when they are using the bathroom or having a shower and everyone is alright with it?

Why do girls in anime wear extremely short skirts but everybody is alright with it including the girls who are wearing it?

Why do girls in anime always fall for wimpy male leads for little to no reason at all in harem-based anime and everybody is alright with it?

Why do girls in anime obey different laws of physics in certain body parts mainly on the chest and everybody is fine with it?

Why do girls in anime have extremely long hair with array of colours but everybody is fine with it?

Why?

Why not?

Shitty situations written by shitty writers enjoyed by shitty people.

Cause gender double standards exist, unfortunately, and are perpetuated by the insecure, shallow, simpleton anime fan base. As well as the rest of society. We, as a whole, are simply a lot less empathetic toward males than we are females. Violence against women is demonized (as it rightly should be), while violence against men is glorified and praised. It's just the society we live in.

So writers are going to continue to take advantage of this dogmatic worldview, and use it to create easy, cheap, overused, banal, obnoxious "comedy", that people will continue to eat up over and over again, because it feels comfortable to them and aligns with their shitty sexist attitudes.

Good lord I hate this. Talk about the most redundant, vague, and nonsensical "argument" ever.

Maybe the target audience consists of masochistic males?

Though it doesn't happen in anime like Gintama. Slapstick knows no gender in that show... not even the girls are safe XD

Because that means they are tsunderes. Everybody love tsunderes no matter how bitchy or violent they are as long as they cute as fuck in the end. Ha.

But they could be just a bitch

Maybe Japanese men are masochists...
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

That is not an anime thing. That is reality.
Women hid men in jest or in anger without consequences all the time but a man can't do it in ether occasion.
In anime the trope you are referring is mostly in jest and the hits aren't really malevolent, it just seems bothersome to many cause of the 2d exaggeration humor(for example guy going threw wall wtc) cause they just don't get it, but if you understand how 2d works you understand that the guy isn't really hurt.

OP is a troll, but w/e.

It's a way of expressing the female character's shyness and insecurity, both traits that make her moe. If you don't understand this, you should give up on otaku culture cause you'll never understand it.

I completely agree. Why do all the writers make the girls think all men are trying to cop a feel? It's not funny, it's dumb and is a poor excuse when trying to add in comedy. It's like when a girl is always hitting the guy. Wtf? It makes them look retarded. Can't even watch anime when the girl is always calling the guy a pervert every 5 seconds. Rant complete.

Pathetic fanservice appeals to pathetic otakus. In fact it's just bad writing, but people call it a trope. Honestly I don't blame the writers though, I blame all the fans who eat this shit up and find it funny, cute or sexy because of their low self-esteem or because they feel inferior to woman or idk what fucked up reasons there are to enjoy this abusive trope.
I probably regret this post by now.

It's supposed to be funny. Of course it's so overused now that some of us hate it.

One of the reasons why I love Toaru Majutsu no Index. Touma punches anyone who needs it no matter what dangles (or doesn't dangle) between their legs because he has no double standards and he doesn't give a fuck.

A bad tsundere character is most likely to blame for this. Unrealistic and if reversed, the complaints would swarm in like a train infested with hatred.
