| Man, this list wouldn't bother me so much if it actually was based on opinions truthfully...sure these characters and shows were voted on, but they were definitely shifted around by the magazine. Come on people, K-On isn't that great..hell its not great at all. Don't get how some dude praised K-On yet called Brotherhood and CG:R2 average. K-On is nothing more than your average moe anime, but to each their own I guess. |

| This is a japanese poll after all, no wonder it would be different from one here (american/international) K-On is indeed very very popular atm in the aisan market. you see fanarts of every kind in every corner. And the evangelion on #2 is the rebuild 2.0 movie, which is for sure a masterpiece, so no doubt Rei and Asuka, and even Shinji and Kaworu can be still on the list after 14 years. And Haruhi made such a fuzz with EE so I think nothing different to expect than seeing her on the list as well. (and Nagato is always by far more popular than Haruhi herself in Asia) :-) so conclusion: There is almost no surprise on the top rankings, anything but only to be expected |

| I've been watching Shangri-la on Crunchyroll and was pleasantly surprised to see Kuniko on the list at all. I didn't think that Shangri-la was popular, but I guess there is a reason it's being officially subbed. |

| Gaaah, what's so wrong with K-ON being No1? It's popularity, people, the thing japanese buy most often this year. Moeblob or not, they like it. Get over it. I love~ K-ON! though not because of the moe. Mio is my least favourite character of all actually. Yui is close to her. Ritsu and Mugi are full of win though. If you ask me then what the heck got me interested in this anime if not the moe, I can't answer. Maybe cuz of the yuri atmosphere? Because of the awesomness of Ritsu? Because of the lesbo Mugi? Man, they crack me up. I don't give a sh*t about blushing Mio. Why do you think she or Yui are the only reason one would watch this? I don't hate them though, Mio's perfect for Ritsu, beating the crap out of her and stuff ^_^ And Yui... is just Yui. SHe makes me smile. Anyway IT'S MY DRUG. *though i haven't finished it, lol, long story* Well, maybe I'm dissapointed that CLannad's not there. It should be first, K-ON second. And not because K-ON is the greatest anime in the world. It obviously isn't. But just because it's so popular. That's the ranking for, isn't it? And once again~ THERE ARE FANGIRLS TOO! If this happens there is about a 50/50 chance that character will rank higher than the main instead. Also keep in mind these are Japanese sub-culture magazines yes. They'll outright skew the ranking and reviews of games (i.e Famitsu) or glorify absolute dreck if it's popular enough in order to avoid the infamous otaku backlash and a loss of subscriptions. This is not a mature crowd they are aiming at here. Anyway, man does Kyon ever look bored in that picture while conversely Tieria, Edward, Lelouch and just about everyone else besides Shinji look ready to take on all challenges.
