I think White Fox took a shit on Tatsumi. Why is he frozen with Esdeath? He never considered being with her and they were never going to be together. He didn't even give it a thought. It's not like they were fated lovers or something.

Except they were. Tatsumi just hadn't figured it out yet. It's too bad they didn't get together in life though.

Oh ok so cutting herself not only doesn't kill her but it also makes her super powered for unexplained reasons? You know while watching this episde I was thinking that made as much sense as the freezing time power that can only be used once a day but then what the fuck she uses it twice. Where the fuck is the relation between ice manipulation and time manipulation. This shitty anime made me realize how shitty the manga is as well. AgK 3/10 overall.

It's her trump card. I'm pretty sure it requires a process or a binding contract of some sort to obtain that form. Sure, it involves cutting herself which from our previous knowledge should have killed her, but again it was on purpose rather than by accident. Had she cut herself when she did not willfully intend on using the trump card, she probably would have died.

Also, it's not that hard to relate ice manipulation with time manipulation... it's more like water manipulation really. Water can be froze; Time can be froze. Not sure about her using it twice in a day, though. I don't think she even did. At least a day must have elapsed from the last time she used it. It's not that hard to assume so.

The fact that lots of people are complaining because their almost everyone who mattered is now dead is solid proof that the anime was good. Afaik no one is complaining on how they died or the events leading up to the death itself. But on the death itself.

I have to say though that there is no fucking way I can feel good about this ending but, the fact that it got me to feel this way is why it can be considered good.

Those who kill should be ready to die at any moment. This anime lives by that, and ends by that till the very end even if it upsets the hell out of everybody.

On that note though does anyone know what chapter the anime starts to deviate from the manga? I've read the manga up to episode 12 but then started watching the anime and put the manga on hold so I don't get the mangaismasterrace bias.

Esdeath vs Akame! Nice fight with clutch blocks and close dodges.
With Akame losing, she activates her trump card! Esdeath had to cut her own arm.
Lol, Esdeath cheated again with freezing time. Too bad Akame has mastered afterimages.
Aw, Esdeath encased herself in ice with Tatsumi. RIP Esdeath. (T_T)

Leone takes down the Minister! Too bad she dies too. (T_T)
And the Emperor gets the guillotine!

Lol, Tatsumi's villagers don't know shit. Tatsumi just died and Tatsumi's friends died in Episode 1. I don't think these villagers even watch this show. Silly villagers.
At least Bols' family is alive. (^_^) And those three girls from the manga.
I guess we'll have Wave, Run, and Najenda run the kingdom.

And we end with Akame, all alone and carrying the burden.
Hopefully she gets a boyfriend or something.
I’m always searching for something, for someone. This feeling has possessed me I think, from that day… That day when the stars came falling.

The Esdeath vs. Akame fight was actually well done and animated. It was the best fight of the series. It just sucks that everything else like Leone's forced death and the way Tatsumi went out is terrible. I'm trying to enjoy the fight to its fullest but everything else sucks so much that it's ruining my enjoyment.

I'm with this guy. I only gave it a seven, but it was a very enjoyable watch. It delivered what I expected from an action anime. The last fight was epic though. I sat there thinking, "so this is where all the budget was spent."

Seems a lot of people wanted a happier ending, but come on; these people were assasins. Killers don't karmically get off the hook, especially in fiction/anime/film.

No they weren't. It was all Esdeath that wanted them to be together. It was Tatsumi and Mine that was tied together. It was stated by that head of the religious organization. Btw, what happened to him?

aka-meh ga kill.... the fight was kinda cool, but why did akame not die?... and how did leone take a full mag to the stomach?... and how did the king break her weapon?... that ending scene was kinda cool... but who were those people?... the last couple episodes hurt this show in my opinion, but overall the series was pretty good

That was just about the most pointless endings I've ever seen. The highlight of this was watching Leone beat Honest to a pulp. You could honestly just skip this entire episode and you'd know how it ends anyway.

Akame's trump card was epicly badass.

I still wonder who the main protagonist is...
Show name is Akame ga Kill, yet Tatsumi seemed the main point of it and he died like he was just a filler character.

Leone died, I really thought she would've survived.
Her death didn't seemed weak, just a little unexpected.

I also wonder why Leone and Tatsumi died but not Akame. (not hating on Akame...she's amazing, just wondering.)

A fitting end for the emperor and that minister, even though that minister needed a worse beating.

The show started great, but the last 5 or 6 episodes were not that good and the end result of everything didn't look strong as I expected it would be.

All in all, a 7/10.
Had some great potential, but never reached the fullest of it.
Or more like it had the fullest but didn't stay on that level.

Oh Akame-chan, you're so badass. =3=

The sole fact that this show actually has a conclusion is great.

Usually, I find lots of enjoyment in battle shounens where characters have a relatively set "power level" with minimum power creep. Thus, despite the existence of "trump cards" for the Imperial Arms users, I think this series decently captured that essence which I like.

It's also the reason why I enjoyed the fighting in another battle shounen - "Tokyo Ghoul", since people have relatively set abilities that don't lead to power creep (yet and hopefully never).

My Thoughts About the Last Episode. But I will just put it on a Spoiler because It's long.

So this had finally ended huh? I actually thought nobody in the Night Raid will survive
because of the train wreck adaptation of White Fox Studio.

White Fox Studio really made Akame one of the survivors and the sole Protagonist of the Story.
They really implied the Anime Title "Akame ga Kill!" huh?.

I wonder if there would be an OVA or that was already the End of this Anime? Because for me it wasn't like the End.

But If this things that happened on this Anime would also will Happen on the Akame ga Kill! Manga I would be really MAD.
I wish they will make different ending and maybe the outcome of the Deaths and Survivors.

So I'll rate this a 7 out of 10, And If I would like this Anime better than what would happen in the Manga I'll give this an 8.
If the manga had a better ending I'll rate give this 1-5... But for now I'll give this a 7 rating overall.

Why would I need to list arguments if there's 15 pages filled with them.. the majority is not bothered by the characters death per say, they're bothered by how their deaths were handled or the purpose behind it. Leone's death was pointless and asspulled from the director just for additional feels and shock value. I don't care about Tatsumi dying, or Mine dying, but the way they died and the purpose behind it is empty and idiotic. Same with Esdeath. I also have 0 emotional attachment to these characters because after 2 or 3 deaths and bad characterization I stopped caring for them.

Someone finally gets it. Leone died for no reason. It's like they had a quota of only 2 Night Raid members surviving and the last episode they were like "wait, Leone is alive, better kill her off!" There was no purpose in Tatsumi dying at all and there is no way he should have been frozen with Esdeath.

The last episode wasn't the laughing stock that the previous one was, but unfortunately the anime original arc at the end was not very good. The relationship between Esdeath and Tatsumi should have provided more drama, and while I don't mind the death toll, I think the character's death lost much meaning by the end. They could have been better written and more poignant.

I'm still hoping the manga will deliver a great finale.

So it finally ends, the fight was cool but still meh overall. Like Akame powers up by cutting herself by the deadly sword? Really? How does that even work? lol
