What. How are weaboos related to the fact that the MGS series are extremely famous world wide?

Except it really isn't.

As a Brazilian, your country is about 7 years behind in terms of pop culture, so I'm assuming MGS 3 just came out for you.

The rest of the world has moved on.

Tell me about it.. Had to relive them in Halo CE anniversary (Still good experience tough)
Personally I'm pretty good at Halo (10% of all halo players) and still they pose as a challenge on that level..

Oh, that was just a joke.

But really Metal Gear Solid isn't as popular as KOTOR. Just saying.
What is KOTOR? Never heard about it.

Knights of the Old Republic (Star War RPG, Made by Bioware, the your action has an effect on the story game). Is a good game good story, and good endings.

But yeah Japan no longer leads gaming (Atleast not in the western world.) There aren't any Japanese Competitve games out that that I have heard of. Unlike the ones that you hear about now, LOL, DOTA, Starcraft. etc etc.

Japan in my view is still stuck on the old, (Not saying good games aren't being produced.) Just a majority will never leave Japan or Asia. So die hard Japanese Game enthuist like myself, usually wait till the console the game is on is hacked, or an emulator is produced with a fan sub. Or learn Japanese and Import the game from Japan.

Also KOTOR, was a niche game, there are probably alot more MGS Fans out there then KOTOR. You can't assume every Star Wars fan has played it. Also the Old Republic game was crap.

The reveal of Revan

A gaming OMG moment of the ages...
I wasn't that impressed. On either playthrough. It was a nice twist, but Empire Strikes Back's was better. It was largely the delivery and the circumstances. Knights of the Old Republic's environments and animations are too static for it to ever be all that dramatic. The music was also too loud and bombastic for the moment. Something that would have made that moment more meaningful is if the dark choices weren't so simple all the time. Many of them are just you being a jerk, no grey zone or moral dilemma at all.

KOTOR 2 has more grey zone stuff.

Is Martin Walker considered the protagonist or antagonist, or both? If either of the latter, he's up there as one of the most fleshed out in existence.

I dont think hes the best but kessler from infamous 1 was really damn memorable. He really didnt appear much until the end but he really did steal the show and made for the most memorable moments in that game.

three other Villains came to mind, but they are not really "galactic extinction" Evil, more Smart evil or power-hungry maybe?
Im talking about "Mr.House", "President J.Eden" and "The Master" all from the fallout franchise. They are at least "evil or madmen" if we are talking fallout universe.

Of those three I would have to go with Mr.house.
He wants to get the Platinum Chip and control the majority of the mojave dessert (if not beyond).
and also to live forever.. All with the help of a giant robot army, who he controls and uses for his amusement and so on.

Felt doing a little necrobump here.

Anyhow Wesker was probably the best part of Resident Evil V. Also motherfucking officer Tenpenny and Handsome Jack (from GTA San Andreas and Borderlands respectively) were about as annoying as a splinter jammed under a fingernail.

kefka is the greatest villain because he is Rotten to the core evil he Poison the water supply of a village and then just laughed it off but the reason he's the greatest villain is that he succeeds in making every one hate him

When you think of Final Fantasy villains, who immediately comes to mind? If you were playing games in the PlayStation 1 era, no doubt Sephiroth will be the first one you think of. But while he is doubtless the most famous villain of the series, he is far from the greatest villain Final Fantasy has to offer. That dubious honor instead falls to Kefka, the main antagonist of Final Fantasy VI.

[Note: Heavy spoilers from here on out.]

In this article I am using Sephiroth as a comparison to Kefka not because I think Sephiroth is a bad villain—I think quite the opposite, actually. I am using Sephiroth as a comparison because he is the most well known of the Final Fantasy villains and because, as good of a villain as he is, Kefka blows him out of the water.
The first time you meet Sephiroth, he kills several floors of people in a skyscraper and then the president of a company. The first time you meet Kefka, however, he is little more than a joke—an ineffective ambassador that no one takes seriously. Yes, he sets a castle on fire. But after his plan fails, he is such a non-threat, you leave him stranded in the desert—paying little attention to his impotent threats of revenge as you ride away.

But this is all to lull you into a false sense of security. For the next time you see Kefka, he kills an entire kingdom by poisoning their water supply. He kills thousands—men, women, and children all killed. He leaves an entire country a graveyard simply because he is bored and wants to go home.

Over the course of the first half of the game, he burns cities, kills his own allies, and commits a second genocide (this time on the magical creatures known as Espers)—and uses you to unwittingly help in that plan.

And then he wins.

That's right, unlike pretty much every game ever made, the bad guy wins in Final Fantasy VI. Kefka becomes god, remakes the world by killing millions (if not billions), and leaves your party beaten, broken, and scattered to the four corners of the post-apocalyptic wasteland he has created. From then on, he just chills on the top of his enormous tower, killing randomly with his god powers whenever it strikes his fancy, just because he can.

Sephiroth? He killed a party member, burned down a town, and tried (and failed) to drop a meteor on a city. Evil? Sure. But it's like comparing a candle to a forest fire.

But what the most important thing is in all this is how you, the player, react to Kefka and all that he's done. You hate him. Just pure, unmitigated hatred. There is no other possible reaction you could have toward him.

You can feel sorry for a bad guy like Sephiroth—he is a fallen hero. He is a person who desperately searched for his place in the world and the meaning of his birth. Finding the answer to these questions, unfortunately, drove him insane and left him bent on destroying the entire world.

Kefka has no deep tragic backstory. Kefka is just a psychotic asshole. While Sephiroth has good in him, or at least did in the past, Kefka has not a single solitary redeeming virtue. Like the Joker in The Dark Knight, Kefka is a man who just wants to see the world burn.

But when it all comes down to it, what makes Kefka such a great villain is more than just the hate he garners. He transcends from a villain you hate into a villain you love to hate. Every time you fight him or otherwise spoil his plans, your level of satisfaction—your elation at victory—is far beyond what you feel when defeating villains in other games. And it is the way he plays on your emotions that makes him the greatest video game villain of all time.

There are too many Vidja Games in the world to say for certain who is most powerful, but the one I remember being the most threatening is definitely Sin from Final Fantasy X (excluding literal gods of course because that shit just straight up ain't fair! XD, so I'll refrain from listin em :P)

I'd have to agree with the OP.

A lot of you are basically listing a bad guy from your favourite video game. I honestly don't see how anything can compare to a race of organic/machine hybrids that can survive in space and are essentially kilometer long ships that can alone wipe out entire fleets, just because they're so goddamn overpowered.

Just being in their proximity causes organic life forms to slowly degenerate into mindless servants or drives them mad.

When you thought you were only dealing with one of them, it turns out that there's actually tens of thousands of them out there all bent on erasing all organic life from the galaxy?

as much as I hate Mass Effect 3, I gotta admit, an Army of THOSE THINGS is probably the worst thing you can ever face in any universe written ever. They are so overpowered that the authors had no idea how to get rid of them realistically, so they invented some bullshit "lost weapon" out of nowhere to deal with them.

The hot tub in Harvest Moon 64.
It has the power to erase your baby and pet dog.

On a serious note I would probably say the Zerg/Barbarians. Zerg are zerg.
Barbarians are infamous in medieval 4x/RTS/strategy games for their ability to rush people early game, and amass large numbers of troops quickly and at a low cost of resources.

If that's not cheese I don't know what is.
