| OK, by far was this the most fun to watch anime of both autumn and winter. Most episodes either got me laughing or pumped up. The were tons of lovable and memorable characters and the style Trigger employs works brilliantly for the limited budget they had on disposal. Obviously you'll compare it to Gurren Lagann, of which I think Kill la Kill carries on the spirit but perhaps not the thematic focus. In the former the "pierce the heavens" and "believe in me that believes in you" quotes pretty much sums up what the show's all about but here it's all rushed and nothing impacts you quite as much as those words had (to be fair a certain death helped but oh well). Still, being almost as good as TTGL is something Trigger to be proud of calling their debut full-length series. Story-wise it was a quite wonky and it shouldn't have wrapped up so fast but that's the only real major problem. I still think Nagi no Asukara has won the autumn 2 cours though. 8/10 |
| I enjoyed the final battle between Ryuko and Ragyo. Overall, Kill la Kill is a great series. My favorite aspect of Kill la Kill are the zany cast of characters. Satsuki is the best written character in the series. She had the best character development in this series. Mako was very funny throughout the entire series. Ragyo was a good villain as she had several memorable characteristics. However, my favorite character on the antagonist side is Nui. She was a great troll throughout the series. Most of the fights were animated well. The humor was good for the most part but there were a few instances where the humor didn't work. The plot was written decently but there were a few times where the writing was disjointed. I also loved the art style of this series. Overall, I give Kill la Kill an 8 out of 10. |

| that was quite a good final episode, i thought ragyou was a lame villain but she didnt really hurt the finale much, sanketsu death was well handled, and i like how the first ed was actually the ending to the whole series. Was wishing for a longer epilogue but that seems like its going to happen in the ova as for the whole show, its one of the most mixed bags ive watched, I loved most of the cast(gamagoori is the best) but hated ryuuko both as a mc as well as a character in general, some comedy was hilarious while other times it was way too forced and tried too hard, some fights were cool and then others were hindered by asspulls and deus ex machina, the music was phenomenal but i feel it was poorly implemented that weakens impact. all the good and all the bad just negate eachother making one big neutral feeling now that its done, its pretty much a dead on 5/10 not leaning on one side to the other |

| I can respect them going for a safer ending over something elaborate My main issue with the episode was the failure to "grip" me, so to speak. I guess I should say I felt unattached, I didn't feel a connection with any of the characters, I didn't feel the intensity of the battle, usually a villain or main character dying would draw some emotion out of me, Ragyo, Nui, Senketsu... Nothing. That for me is just a testament to the flaws of the series. Not caring for a character this far in is a problem Well, KLK was solid in areas, bad in others. The parts I enjoyed, I really enjoyed. They were too few and far between sadly for stuff that felt like it didn't need to be there I've given it a 6. Like I said in another thread it has gotten so many things fundamentally wrong. Wouldn't seem right giving it any higher, the OST prevents me from giving it any lower, Sawano strikes again =) |
| Ryuko goes super saiyan and defeats Ragyo. Pretty f*cking epic. Show was interesting the beginning then it started getting weird for me and in the end it picked up and pumped me up like TTGL. Good job Trigger I enjoyed Kill La Kill for its wackiness. 8/10 |

| Sooo awesome, I just hoped they would do a TTGL and have a 1 v 1 at the end with no background music. The ending was still very satisfying except SEEENKETTSUUU Doubt we will see a season 2, but who knows |

Why is everyone saying "Anime was (wasn't) saved"? Is this some stupid new shit going around MAL or something you people made up for shits and giggles about this anime? | FUCKING HYPE AS FUCK My heart skipped a beat when Satsuki called Ryuuko nee-san in such a panicked way. Trigger did not disappoint me with the ending. It was everything I was expecting and more. 9/10 easily. Contemplating a 10 but I don't think I'll go that far. Maybe. EDIT: It'll probably be an 8 or a 9 when I calm down but IDGAF. Fucking hype yo. |

| Thats good ending. And this anime is easily the best show in this season and the last season. Satsuki looks much better with shorter hair |
| I had a blast watching Kill la Kill. It's hard to describe, but everything comes together well even though the plot wasn't anything special and characters didn't have huge depth (doesn't make Satsuki any less awesome though :D). The style of the show and the execution/hype makes you forget those things. The turning point that turned Kill la Kill from a good anime to a great one for me was episodes 17-18. After Satsuki stabbed Ragyou in the back, it was epic scene after epic scene for every episode. I'm giving 9/10. |

| Kill la kill reminded me a lot about TTGL , one of the most wacky anime's I've had the pleasure to watch. Kill la kill is not the best at anything that it does , but it gives you an awesome experience as everything comes together well. 9.5/10 |

| Senketsu died. I was actually about to cry because a talking sailor uniform died. :(((( Wish he didn't have to. And also Gamagoori! I thought he was going to die too! HAHAHA Wasn't REALLY satisfied with the ending, I expected something more but still a good one. Just that part about Senketsu. and the last part with ed was really cute. 9/10 for the series! |

| As the episode went on, the plot kept getting more and more ridiculous, but that's what Kill la Kill was about: being as epic as possible. It was just too good, can't believe it's over already though. |

| I dropped at episode 4 when I felt I was watching a regular fan service anime stylized as TTGL, which wouldn't be enough to make it interesting. But I can understand the hype, it had everything teenagers loves. |

| epic ending for a very entertaining show, they went all out with the naked characters^^ the last scene showed Ryuko feels something, either her mom or another wave of invasion, but most likely she can feel Senketsu is still up there |

| Fantastic show - pretty good ending. The opening battles were great and there was some nice tension when Ragyo pulled her trump card to deactivate all the uniforms. And for all the Mako haters, she once again has a huge say in the motivation at the end for Ryuko to come back for a date? - not much of a romantic date though - she spent most of her time just buying things lol and being Mako lol. However, fun scenes showing all of them hanging out as friends nonetheless. The most epic person in this whole episode was Gamagoori - Damn his sacrifice and then ultimate attack! I know Mako is always a Ryuko supporter, but she should have kissing his feet at the end! Satsuki was awesome in this episode too - running to save her Sister. The whole catching movement that followed was beautiful. Still there were loose ends that I wish would have been explained or explored. -What was so special about Rei where she was absorbed into Ragyo? we never find out anything about her and she is just kicked out and laying naked somewhere. Pointless. -Ragyo says she is pulling her punches because she has some humanity left in her. That actually did leave the door open for her to be "saved" which maybe had something to do with Ryuko saying come back to Earth peacefully - however, she just kills herself. I think it could have been something better if they left that door open and maybe had more time. -Senketsu's death was touching but I felt it could have had some more emotional music, maybe a montage of sorts - I just felt it was rushed. Also, how did everyone else who fell to Earth not die? -Also, it might have been nice for them to end all drinking a cup of tea! Loved Satsuki's hair and the ending shots. And yes I agree, Ryuko certainly didn't wear something cuter than Senketsu - but maybe for the OVA? And Nudist Beach? Seeing them in normal street clothes at the end would have been awesome! Senketsu - you will be missed :( - such a comrade and a trusted friend. Overall great show 9/10. I feel a few more episodes might have made it a 10. Well done to Trigger. |
