| this feels sorta like bakemonogatari minus all the overcomplicated dialogue the art is different though but idk, i just get a similar vibe from the two stories awesome mc :) i lol'd when he came out from under her blanket xD music is nice too, especially the op and battle scene bgm ^^ good start! |

| Great first episode and animation/OST etc. Especially I really like ED song. Yato is cool character and with Araragi voice he is even better. Hiyori looks like Chitanda but who cares as long as she will be like in this episode then none should complain. |

| Great first episode, good animation, and pretty funny, too. Reminds me of other anime (mainly Bakemonogatari) but I like the whole supernatural-being-fighting-demons thing. |

| A very lackluster start, that didn't even try to keep me interested by hinting at some sort of bigger picture. That, and they turned the original setting upside down. The humour was weak and stupid, fights were short and meaningless. I admit that the art and animation is pretty good but that's the only thing this anime has going for it. This is definitely not how you should start a series. |

| I think I'm in love. Studio Bones is really rocking this season with Space Dandy and this show. Helmed by first-director Koutarou Tamura it basically delivers what Kyoukai no Kanata (which was ironically also directed by a new-comer) failed to do so: A supernatural action-comedy that has characters that are far more than their gimmicks and are not solely defined by their fetishes and that is actually funny. The direction feels so fresh, everything looks polished, lots of unique camera angles and oh, these stylish visuals! The dialogue sounds natural and the comedy parts never feel forced or out of place. As long as the source material holds up I'm certain we're in for a great ride. |

| Good start to the series. I love Yato's VA too -- the same one as Araragi from the Bakemonogatari franchise. This should shape up to be one of the top ones of the season if everything goes well. |

| Thought they would gloss over the bullied girl, which is fine because she was a tad annoying anyways :P Poor Yato being ditched by his shinki...but looking forward to meeting Yukine next episode! I wouldn't say this was the most interesting first episode ever, but neither were the beginning chapters. But I still enjoyed it a lot and the visuals are nice. |

| good first episode, the panty shots were unnecessary but oh well it was only there for like 15 seconds, i just hope its not t prevalent, the monsters were pretty cool looking and the animation was top notch, music was very good and the characters are so far pretty likable |

| I just hope this doesn't turn out like Kyoukai no Kanata. Yato's VA (Kamiya Hiroshi) is just way too hilarious, so my enjoyment for this first episodes is thanks to him. | To be honest I didn't expect much when I start but boy, its really a good episode. Liking the main characters already which is not easy for me to do in the first episode of an anime. |

| It was ok. I like it but it was not great. Also, it didn't explain the bullying backstory properly. They might mess the story more, but I'll wait and see. |
