| Well i loved Ushio (she's like a mini Nagisa), but I'm still sad that Nagisa is gone :'( Looks like Tomoya will get angry next episode. Hopefully there's some advancement between him and Ushio. I was kinda angry this episode at how Tomoya neglected her. |

The movie ending was changed...  Ushio is....very cute!!! The end.. So, that annoying girl skipping around at the start of the ending was Ushio the entire time. I didn't realize until now. *facepalm* |

| Wow, almost no rendering of Tomoya's depression, so in the end we feel nothing since there was no dramatization at all whatsoever. It fell flat in the beginning of the episode as if nothing happened with Nagisa and Tomoya was some kind of rock. We can also feel that nothing has changed in five years, it could have been one week all the same, the characters didn't evolve at all (appart from a superficial trial at making Tomoya sound older but it doesn't work at all), and we just skipped the interesting episodes we should have had there. Overall, it was far weaker than the movie rendition of Nagisa's death, then Ushio and Tomoya's separation and reconciliation. But then again, Ishihara/KyoAni are 30 years too early to reach Dezaki's level of directing (if not 40 :)), and we can clearly see what separates them just by watching their respective versions of Clannad. I'm a bit dissapointed but still the quality of the epsode itself made up for my dissapointment, and next episode should be good. |

| I'm kind of glad that After Story changed up from the movie atmosphere. In the movie he seemed more angry than depressed about everything..in this series, he wasn't angry at the fact that he was deceived and left alone with Ushio; it shows more vulnerability and realism. I also loved the end..where Ushio starts skipping, and it connects with the ED. I always knew that was Ushio skipping at the end, but I liked how it transitioned like that. |

| For some reason, I guess because of her dress, I realized that Ushio was the skipping character in the end credits before it even showed that part, which quite surprised me. I thought it was just some random school girl or Nagisa or something. (actually I surprised myself because I'm usually not very good at figuring stuff out like that) Anyway, (I use this word too much) I thought this was a nice episode but I was still a little too depressed to enjoy it. |

Yeah, at first I was thinking of Chucky from Child's Play, but I agree, the scene where the two first met was very well done, managed to keep me extremely interested for father and daughter to finally meet. Although there was something depressing with their relationship as it seemed strained,. |

It's reasonable why Tomoya became like that . It's just like physicological problem,when his wife(the one whom he loved so much) must die and he had to live with Ushio . He can't just accept his way of life like that . So that's why he wants Nagisa back again to life and live together with Ushio(even the ending is that). |

| Same. Ushio was one of the most well done characters in this series, imo. A character like her is very rare to find in most anime. |

| Wow..Tomoya's such a shitty dad...he's turning out to be just like his own father. I can't believe he'd expect a 5 year old to make sure to ready everything and lock up and go pee/poo by herself (i mean he should atleast escort her) Tomoya hasn't changed a bit. It's a little hard to accept that he's become that adorable little angel's father. Sigh, this series is just getting too sad...too sad. It just isn't the same without Nagisa. I'm loving it and hating it as well. |

| It is kinda ironic that he actually started becoming more like his dad. Tomoya was always a kind and helpful person, but now he's harder to like, which actually makes the show more interesting(in spite of the fact that I hate how he's neglected his daughter). This episode was kinda slow, but in the end, I decided that I liked it a lot. |

| ok...this is NOT what i was expecting from this episode xD and i'm happy that it turned out to be a happy episode :) so,another 5(five) years they simulated in order to get ushio big enough to develop some character(i guess) Tomoya meanwhile left Ushio the Akii and Sanae,while he was wasting his life gambling and smoking...is it me or Tomoya walks the same path as his dad? i loved the father-daughter interaction in this episode,and Ushio is so darn cute :D,well she looks 95% llike nagisa so this is not a surprise :) also i love how she acts like Tomoya,with short answers and so :) as to finish...i really look forward to their trip next episode! Clannad is now officially the best thing i have ever watched O.o...yeah i know i'ts weird,i'm not even done watching it yet oh and PS...where the hell is fuko?? |
