Okay how did Hozuki not die from that fall, she should have at least have had some broken bones from it but instead it just looked like she was really sick or something. Oh and WOW Anna's a spy, huh? Like NO ONE saw that coming! This episode was so incredibly predictable that it was hard to watch. I hope it doesn't continue to do this in future episodes. |

Romedbaumann said: They were speaking latin when Galileo was living, I agree. However, the show setting isn't that time. We actually get the accurate year....Therefore your theory is out of the question. No it isn't, unless you believe that the world we really live in is geocentric in nature. This is an alternate universe, so different rules apply. Perhaps the reason why people believe the universe is geocentric is because the Catholic Church managed to suppress the discovery of heliocentric universe, and as such Latin is still being spoke by most of educated Europe. (Though I would say no, in episode 1 and 2 they specifically said that Galileo and Copernicus proved that the universe was geocentric rather than heliocentric, thus they were still revolutionary, just in the opposite way. And if that is the case then I can assure you that physics is very different in this universe than in ours). Romedbaumann said: Additionally I have never heard of this organization which means that it obviously hasn't succeeded. They have been around since 1924, so successful or not, they have survived nearly a century. Overall, if this show pretended to be real or scientific, then everything you all have mentioned would annoy me as well, but this show is so obviously a fantasy that such details mean little to me. It would be like asking why hobbits can communicate with orcs in Mordor. |

Not too good an episode really. Plot was a bit thin and predictable. I'm hoping this will improve soon. |

Taking the phrase "children bounce back" to it's logical extension. They do a really poor job of showing it, but I think the rooftop they jump to is actually quite a bit lower (1-2 stories) than than the roof they jump from, so it's not as huge a horizontal leap as it seems. The jump from the 6th floor down to the 4th or 5th floor, and the pile of cars seems to be almost 2 stories tall, so she fell 2-3 stories. This is in the "survivable with injuries" range of falling. You'd actually have to land pretty wrong (like on your head) to die from a fall of that height. Of course this begs the question: Why is there a 2 story tall pile of cars in a random alleyway? I think it'd be more accurate to call the "mini" or "micro" doctor a "nanodoctor". After all, it works by injecting the patient with a strange liquid and is capable of curing otherwise incurable diseases. If it works with programmable nanomachines, it's conceivable that it could stitch together broken bones and internal injuries, even nerve damage. Of course I'd have to assume that he developed it while he still had a functioning workshop/lab and took it with him into homelessness when his daughter died. Kazuki is a born fighter and so it follows that she's a born fighter pilot too, I guess. LOL Probably the most irksome that the sketch was just laying around. Unless the statue containing it was broken really recently, I can't believe no one else found it and I can't believe it didn't get wet or weathered. Once it's there though, it's not surprising Hans had it. Homeless people find all kinds of crazy stuff in the wanderings. |

And he didn't seem to be faking it, either, he was totally committed to the job... Folding paper and making paper cranes?... O.o Whatever. Evil organization bosses these days. PaleBlue said: Of course this begs the question: Why is there a 2 story tall pile of cars in a random alleyway? I can answer that one, but first, great explanation. You are absolutely correct, I went back and counted the stories and it is clear that she only fell 2.5 stories before she hit the cars. As for your question, the have said that this world is going through an energy shortage, so I have a feeling only officials can use cars nowadays. I also think that there is a serious recession as well and a break down of authority (which is why there are pirates), so you have hundreds of millions of useless cars that people don't have the money, requirement or inclination to savage, so what else do you do with them but toss them in some alleyway to clear the main streets. I think it was implied that the statue was broken relatively recently, Houzaki had heard of the invention and given that it seems the doctor took the only working example, it probably was news the last year or two. Also don't forget that the sketches are on vellum, and is a good dealing tougher than paper. |

julia555 said: My thoughts exactly. I'm not sure I think Anna is bad, but she's pretty suspicious... I at least hope she's not bad. Yeah, they definitely rushed things too much this episode. This really deserves a full season, because 11 episodes is no where near enough for this show to fully develop. But my only real problem with this episode was her fall; that was one of the hardest things I've ever been forced to believe. And seriously, Cicinho needs more showtime. He's by far the coolest character atm. Loved his reaction when he found out about Hozuki's condition.I knew something was fishy about Anna. That was some fast character development for Kazuki, a bit too fast, actually, I don't like it when they rush with things like this. Also, need more of that pirate captain, he's by far likeable, but appears in only a few scenes. So far I'm really enjoying this, despite a few issues. I just have a good feeling I'll be sorely disappointed in the end, simply because of how short it is. Even though it was rushed and a bit of a cliche, it's good to see that Kazuki really is a nice person (not that I had any doubts). The fact that she glued the plates back was pretty moving to me. Hazuki's trick on the elevator was amazingly clever. Of course I know in movies and stuff they usually show the baddies having a hard time keeping up with the elevator... but I consider myself pretty damned lazy, and I've never encountered an elevator I couldn't beat using the stairs... though being 6'4" probably helps... and they were both pretty heavyset. |

Both Hazuki and Kazuki stepped up to the plate and showed us how much of a key role they play as part Galileo trio. Anna seems to have her own secret agenda on the side. That was funny when she fainted and they just kept talking. Great episode as always. |

Even as someone who enjoyed the hell out of the first three episodes I can admit this one was just.... Not very good. That said, I can still forgive GD for its inconsitencies. It already feels like it's being rushed though - which is what you get for trying to compress such an ambitious plot into 11 short episodes. OH WELL. |

uhmm, so does that musical score has any other purpose other than showing us the super tiny world map? I thought it'd be more hard to decipher, probably like a puzzle or something, instead of just zooming it in to find the clue lol XD Anna has ulterior motives, and we still don't know the details and which side she actually belongs. Personally i think she doesn't work for Materazzi (or on the same side as him), probably she belongs to some secret organization which involved in searching & protecting Galileo's secrets (including Tesoro) for some reasons (maybe to keep it from falling into the wrong hands), and not really an enemy to the 3 sisters. I still enjoyed this episode. And that was a lot of bras & panties by the way. |

I am here to confess that I was too quick to pass judgement, like many did here, that the scene where Hozuki fell from 3rd (or 4th) floor should have meant Hozuki died right away. Today newspaper revealed that yesterday a very similar accident happened in my city: A woman fell from 6th floor and her life was saved (despite heavy injury) precisely because she fell onto the roof of a car, and the buckling roof absorbed a lot of the shock leading to much less damage to her body. And if this could happen to a women falling from 6th floor I am sure Hozuki does not need to be a superhuman to survive the fall if she also has car's roof as a kind of cushion. So the anime staff really did their homework here. My bad. |
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

And Betty Lou Oliver who fell 75 floors in an elevator (in the Empire State Building when it got hit by a plane) and came out without any permanent injuries... that's 1000+ feet btw. I am here to confess that I was too quick to pass judgement, like many did here, that the scene where Hozuki fell from 3rd (or 4th) floor should have meant Hozuki died right away. And if this could happen to a women falling from 6th floor I am sure Hozuki does not need to be a superhuman to survive the fall if she also has car's roof as a kind of cushion. So the anime staff really did their homework here. My bad. Yes, there are those rare times, under proper circumstances, and correct landing that someone could survive a fall like that. This was not one of those times. 1. This was a little girl who, albeit very intelligent, is obviously quite fragile. An ordinary girl is nowhere near sturdy enough to take what the body of an adult female can. 2. She landed in possibly as far away from correctly as anyone ever has. Yeah, sure people have survived broken necks... but this little girl fell 5 stories (one less than your case) head first on a stack of old abandoned cars that were likely not in good condition; so in reality there would probably be every manner of things to rip her limb from limb. She bounced like a basketball off these things before coming to a dead stop. There's not even a .1 percent chance she would survive the way she hit and bounced and stopped. You just don't dive into a pile of cars and walk away with only a "I'm not feeling very good." and zero bruises. If she can I have a long way to go before calling myself a man. The only proper reasoning here is that this is anime, and if strange things have happened, expect stranger. |

For me it wasn't so much Hozouki falling like that and resulting with minimal (visible) injuries which made the episode bad. It was the fact that it was used as a way to patch things up with her sister and the sequence of events around it. 1. random miracle homeless doctor 2. Oh no my sister almost died, if only I hadn't been such an ass to her. Don't worry sister i'll carry on with your will and pilot your mecha! 3. You mean my place mat was this is important? I just found it lying somewhere. Just to point out a few. All these things are just laughable. They would probably be amazing if this was a comedy but this show intends to be mostly serious. 3/5 I wanted to save him, but the only lifeline on which to rely is the mystery that is served up on behalf of Anna. But more than 3/5 I can not give, if it were not for that detail a vote of 2/5 would definitely deserved! ^ ^ " The rest of the narrative is bland, uninvolving and is tremendously strange in some contexts. In addition, they could ensure a better quality graphics, but alas even that, too bad. Plot that still poses an emphasis on the family sphere, unfortunately, is not that we pursue other twenty episodes, here we are already running out! Get a move on! this episode had waaay too many flaws for me 1) that fall should have at least left scares, SOMETHING visable 2) Hozuki instantly becomes useful even though she was like major emo in the last episode, i didn't like her as an emo but she was brought out of that quickly just because Hozuki was injured. 3) Anna was obviously a mole... or evil, commonsense.com show slowly loosing my interest, the visuals are pretty that's the only positive i can think of at the moment, unless that scooter comes back, that thing was awesome! |

Apparently she's not only super smart but practically indestructible, not even a single bruise falling from a height that could easily kill a grown man. Houzki get's injured but Hans conveniently had a med station. He also conveniently had the moon sketch. Like we didn't do Anna was fishy from the 1st ep. You can basically tell what's gonna happens next after every scene. Terrible 2/5. I swear you people are fucking retarded or trying too hard to be smartasses. No visible damage? She wearing fucking clothes damn it, how the fuck to you know her body isn't bruised all over or she doesn't have broken bones? Second the pile of cars was tall so get a few level out because of that. And YES falling on a roof of a car can save you, is very different than falling on concrete because the roof of the car will bent and absorb some of the impact your body will receive unlike concrete that will throw it all back at you. Oh her body jumped a few times. So what? It was high and if her body fell from the first car the is no strange it kept falling since the cars was like a small mountain going downhill. Yeah because no person ever survived a fall from a building.(roll eyes) How the fuck to you know what the micro-doctor can do? They didn't say. Maybe it can really fix bones etc. Btw concussion is not a serious problem you know. You don't even need a doctor to get over that. The only thing i will give you is that indeed is an overreach of good fortune for that paper to have been inside that statue for 500 years and that guy founding it just before they destroy it. But we can still take that as the luck sometimes needed or else what is the point of showing how everything went wrong and our heroes failed. Does anyone want to see that? And Betty Lou Oliver who fell 75 floors in an elevator (in the Empire State Building when it got hit by a plane) and came out without any permanent injuries... that's 1000+ feet btw. I am here to confess that I was too quick to pass judgement, like many did here, that the scene where Hozuki fell from 3rd (or 4th) floor should have meant Hozuki died right away. That is the biggest pile of bullshit i ever read. No there is every chance it can happen that a 13 year old girl falls into that and survives as those people did even more admirable things. The only reason you can't accept it is because you must be an annoying critic. I bet if any of those real events you mention were shown in the anime you will be shouting how unbelievable they are if knew nothing of them actually happening. Also she didn't fell in just a rumble of metal, she fell on the rooftops of cars. Read what the guy said above. That shit can save you. It happens in real life. Car rooftop is a 100 times better than the ground. She was in bed and probably dieing. That is certainly more than "not feeling very good". But obviously all of you lot are magical little fairies that examine her body and injuries despite the show having her covered all the time. Also why is everyone so shocked with this when anime show hardest things to survive all the time and people actually getting up instead of ending badly injured and needing some super tech medical robot to be saved? You people are being ridiculous. |

TheAshmanCometh said: This show is so badly written that it's laughable. Why are the pirates just randomly in Germany after being in Italy? If they followed the Galileo wouldn't they know where to find them without having to conveniently run into them in a shopping mall? How did Hozuki survive that fall? It would have easily killed or crippled a normal person. The Micro Doctor would presumably be used for surgery, so how would it just magically cure a person's broken bones and damaged organs? Not to mention the concussion she would have if she had somehow survived the fall. The writers seriously couldn't come up with a better conclusion than, "the homeless guy just happened to have the sketch the whole time!" Also, when they mention the moon sketch Hans simply says, "moon sketch?" and Anna just magically knows that he has it and isn't just repeating what he heard them say a mere moment before. Finally, we're meant to believe that a piece of paper that Galileo hid in the 1600's could not only survive outside for hundreds of years, but would not be found by anyone except a homeless man hundreds of years later? It's almost like the writer tried to shove as many plot contrivances as he could into a single episode. I agree, this is bullshit and painful to watch. |

I chuckled when she fell and hit those cars. It was just so silly. It didn't feel serious at all. That hobo having that peice of the map or whatever was way to convenient. Waiting for the moment Anna betrays them. Either that or she'll have a change of heart. |

Anna keeps her cellphone in her hair?? xD But I wonder who she was talking to...She's just so suspicious. HOZUKI omg that was scary T^T But after that fall, and hitting all those cars, she should have had some broken bones or a head injury or something. Instead it just took medicine? Either way, I'm glad she's okay. Good thing the nice homeless man was there to save her <3 I don't see why people are saying they laughed when she hit those cars though. =( I mean yeah it's only the fourth episode and she's the main character, so obviously she's going to make it, but still... It was nice how Kazuki tried to fix all those broken plates, even if she did a horrible job at it. I can tell Kazuki is becoming a better character already. ^_^ However, she still has her cellphone...She didn't get rid of it =/ Also, those air pirates might not be SO bad if they were willing to back off so they could save their sister. |

Seemed just alittle too ass-pully for me that the one guy they meet is both a doctor/engineer and has the exact thing they are looking for. |

See? That's why I'm still suspicious of Anna, I don't buy her Galileo geek story all the way, what her motive in all this? O_o She should be dead, five standard floor levels drop is fatal even with that several meters pile of cars at the bottom. Her skull should have cracked or broken her neck or shattered her shoulders, blood everywhere and everything in between...and dead! >_< LOL The micro-doctor is such a plot haxx and this quest for the sketches is too damn shallow or something. Oh well, I'm just waiting what the goldfish, uhmm the airship Galileo can still do and all other techno-wonder they'll showcase next. *sigh* |
You see there's no need to wonder where your god is, Coz he's right here! ...and he's fresh out of mercy. |
