You can't be serious I would get what you are saying if the anime stopped at the first part. Unfortunately it didn't and it became terrible. | I agree with comparing Attack on Titan with SAO although I really hope the falling off a cliff part doesn't happen (it has already started its descent in the last two eps imo though) Most underrated series I can think of Kingdom, the 3d animation is terrible and the character movements are hideous but not all of its 3d and the story is really good imo (obviously it is a shonen so it has to have some loud mouth über MC but all the other characters are really interesting) In my experience people get angry at you when you say things are overrated even though it isn't really that negative of a statement but whatever. Death Note is overrated, as well as Gintama and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Also I think Black Lagoon and Trigun are overhyped. |

In which universe are Death note and Code geass considered underrated?They are well known and loved by many people and they come in almost every anime top10 list.Also the death note manga is one of the best selled manga not only in Japan but in the west(while we still talk about anime its the same series),while the death note anime is one of the most favorite anime by non otaku and otaku audiences from all over the world.It's even on imdb rated as 8.7,while code geass on other hand might not be rated as high as death note it's still one of the most groundbreaking anime not only considered by critiques but also by many anime fans worldwid. Hellsing ultimate and black lagoon aren't that overrated they are in first place balls to the wall action anime,and it was never supposed for a death note like intelligent story however they are executed in a perfect way and both have outstanding action with cool characters with nice music and beatiful animations and a well executed dub. Evangelion - overrated,still not finnished(currently at episode 25) but as far I cann tell it's definitly overrated but a good anime. |

I don't judge anime of which I don't have a very good idea of, thus why I've never mentioned anything about Haruhi or Monster in this thread. I have Gintama' with me and sometimes watch some episodes of it, but I'm not gonna judge it since I've only seen max 3 or 4 episodes of it. |

| As usual, just my opinion. If you disagree, that's completely fine. Underrated Deadman Wonderland: This show was fast paced, had great characters, and had ample amount of good plot twists. The lack of a second season is highly disappointing. I would love to see the rest of the manga animated. Blue Gender: This is one of the most mature, well-written shows I've watched, particularly in the first half. While the ending was pretty mediocre admitedly, the rests of the twists and turns all worked pretty well. This is a hidden gem that more people should take a look at. Second Season of Death Note: I still loved the 2nd season myself. Many people think Light turned stupid in these episodes, but I look at it as he got arrogant and sloppy after a break in the investigation. Not quite as good as the first season, but still a fun ride. Overrated Steins,Gate: Don't get me wrong. I really liked this show. I gave it an 8 in fact. The slow, somewhat unfocused first half dragged down my score a point. I don't think it should have quite as high of a rating as it does, even though it was still a great show. Code Geass: Similarly to Steins,Gate, I enjoyed this show a lot as well. I just felt the plot twisted too many times in too short amount of ttimes, the campiness created bad tonal shifts, and some of the dialogue was bad to a laughable level. Overall though, CG was a highly entertaining and quality sshow that I don't think should be ranked in the ttop 5 on the site. Durarara!!: Similarly to Steins Gate, though the beginning was way tooslow, and the plot was all over the place for16 episodes. Some characters were great, but some were really annoying. Some moments were too bizarre for my toast. Whilee the series was funny, it didn't connect at all with me like it did with others. Shiki: I found Shiki to be a missed opportunity. The tonal shifts, useless characters besides the doctor, unresolved ending, and halted character ddeveloopment really negated the show for me. While moments were fun, I don't think everything pulled together enough for this show to deserve anything over an 8. |
