The endings to this show always feel a bit melancholy.

Hachiman is great. If there were more MC's like him then maybe we wouldn't have so many shitty romance/school/club anime.

I hope for the opposite of this, because most of these characters end up as nothing but Boobs-san.
Though it did feel like there might be something going on in their family.

Great episode!
Yukino and Hachiman are both great. I just love their interactions.
I love how Hachiman was able to deal with the whole situation calmly, such a great mc u.u

Thankfully the misunderstanding was cleared up.
I wonder what he discovered in Yukino's book.....
Can't wait :3

Really diggin this show now. It has a toradora esque feel to it. Wish I had to patience to marathon this.

With all due respect, this show is much more smooth and straightforward and most of the character development until now has been based on real and coherent reasoning from both sides. Toradora was a failure when you consider the horrible melodrama behind it.

Indeed. This episode was really great. Yukino with twin tails was unexpected, she looked very good with those.

Hikigaya and Yukinon are so great together. Will be glad to see them as a couple in future.

As for the ep, I guess, it was pretty nice with the good conclusion in the end.

Nice one again, glad to see the main trio back on track at the end, all they need now is that trap boy in the club.

Yukinoshita's sister is awesome lmao.

And Hikigaya holds true to his 'observer' title. He was able to see through the facade of Yukino's sister because it's an anime I bet many people had that feeling that something was up with Yukino's sister, but put into that scenario myself, I probably wouldn't be able to see through it.

He was also able to tell that Yukino and Yui were misunderstanding each other, but he's still oblivious that Yui wants to date him despite noticing how uncomfortable she was with the conversation lol.

I'm assuming that we now entered the 'Saving Yukino' arc?

And anyone know where to read the light novel translated in English?

Looks like Yukino is warming up to Hiki. I liked how he commented that she looked good in the apron, then she goes and buys it along with the one for Yui.

That was actually good because the characters dealt with it in a more rational way and just confronted each other without the need of melodrama or making a huge deal over it.

With all due respect, the melodrama of Toradora actually made it even more enjoyable. The variety of feels is important. A show that makes you both cry and laugh is definitely better than one that only ever makes you laugh.
If you don't like melodrama, then the problem lies with you, not the show.

Very few of Toradora 'drama' scenes had any good purpose, most were forced as they could be (you know what I'm talking about). In a way, you are right that some people will like melodrama and others not, but that's a whole other thing. I was being objective in my statement so either I like or not - it was never a matter to begin with.

Now, personally speaking, for me a show that has real and coherent conflict has much more impact and feels way less awkward than something that is baseless forced for the sake of being so. But that doesn't necessarily mean you'll feel the same way.

I seriously love this show! Hachiman is definitely the best main male character in a romcom that I've ever seen so far. Yukino is so cute when she blushes and plays with cute stuffed animals. :)

Now if this was a typical romcom, Hachiman would have become all flustered or get all excited when Yukino told him that she'll allow him to be her boyfriend for the day. Instead Hachiman was like 'being her boyfriend is the last thing I wanna be'. His rational thinking is the best. :D Yukino's sister was hilarious, very outgoing and likeable.

Those misunderstandings were hilarious. Yui obviously thought that Hachiman and Yukino were going out and Yukino wanted to celebrate Yui's birthday. I just love how Hachiman addressed that misunderstanding before the situation worsened. Yui wearing the dog collar was so funny! xD Glad Yui and Hachiman have made up and their relationship has been renewed. Yukino is definitely acting strange.

Yamete......
She understood why he said that and she seemed to apologize to him for making him that impression,he took a present for the only thing they are tied at this moment.
Taking things how they are now and how they look Hikki has no emotions towards Yui,putting myself in his position(which you refuse to do so) I'd spit out anything that bothers me of that person, which he did.
Personally,I wouldnt apologize to anyone if I feel nothing for that person.....get a hint already, stop being a hater. It seems like ignorance is your best friend.

0.0" I didn't mention anything about hating Hikki.
I am saying that if I am in Hikki's position, I will be scared and won't even have the courage to face Yui and apologize her. If I have feeling for Yui, I will feel more bad about myself and even less courage to face her at all .
Actually he could have more friend if he has such courage in the past..

While Toradora indeed has some forced melodrama in it, I think it's not as bad as you suggest, especially when you compare it to the genre standard. Some of the "forced melodrama" are awesome, too (such as the drama around winter arc), so I guess this is the result of different material and director+writer combo (staffs behind Toradora are known as specialist in melodrama, which are resulting in a mix of good and bad shows IMO) but I think both of them are good for their own style of drama.

While we're talking about Toradora, I think also have some deja vu this time. Toradora and Oregairu have similar love-triangle setting, and this episode kinda make me feel melancholic since I am
...if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I call this as the RomCom and the MC of the season. Give me the next episode!
