Good show. I loved all the music especially No Brand Girl. All of the characters were likeable as well but Nozomi will always be my fav:). However the problem was solved too quicky.

This show could have been better without the drama and stayed to comedy. I just think it didn't fit at all.

Anyways 8/10

WOOOOOOOW! When I started watching these, I knew that I would like it. I love what I call Anime-Pop (yes, actually J-Pop), I mean the opening and ending themes to shows. They are very important to me. Also I loved K-On! so I was just sure I would like a show about music that actually has a lot of music in it (live performances and stuff, like K-On!).
But man, I would have never thought that it would be THAT great. I love each and every character and the drama and comedy was just amazing. I loved each and every single episode.
Additionaly, it's pretty much clear that there will be a second season.

It might sound a bit weird for some of you, but what different score could I give?
10/10. It's my opinion and I think it's well deserved. It's still not "perfect" (like Clannad After Story hehe), but a music Anime can't be "perfect" I think. So in my personal offline rating, it's still "just" a 9.5/10.
But just because MAL does not have the possibility to rate it .5 and I really feel it's more a 10 than a 9 to me, I just have to.
SEASON 2!! PLEASE COME SOON!!! I WILL BE WAITING!!!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that! What better way could there have been to end the season than having my favorite of all the songs performed by ALL of them?? :-O

Though Nico often has been given a role of just formal club president (and the real leader may be Honoka / Eri or Nozomi), in the last and this episode she looks like real president of the club.

Even after the first objective (rescue the school) has been completed, her stance of being idle didn't change at all. Her words just before the concert on the auditrium subtly quotes herself on ep5, that being idle is nothing more than making audience smile!

This anime is quite the ride.... Pretty good moe-slice-of-life idol anime + some silly drama.... And it's doing it's job right (unlike some certain-san anime).... But, damn it's enjoyable (than most of series of winter)....

Final ep. - 4/5

Series - 7/10

Good fuckin gawd, I absolutely loved the last episode. It was kinda obvious that everything was gonna work out in the end, but how it was all resolved was really satisfying. I don't even care how Kotori blowing off studying abroad at the last minute to stay seemed to be selfish and not as dramatic as it could've been. Being selfish to fulfill Honoka's selfish desire to become school idols is perfectly okay in my book. rofl

The last performance was really awesome, too. It was well-animated and had a decent blend of 2D and CG. It was also pretty fitting for μ's to perform START:DASH!! in the auditorium. They even played the entire song. And I guess Kotori and Maki's moms know each other? And the members of A-RISE watched the performance. That's cool. And lol at Honoka's dad tearing at the end.

As for the possibility of a second season, I believe it's pretty high. I mean, the BDs of the first volume sold over 18,000 copies, not to mention the CD singles and albums already selling pretty decently. And μ's was once again added to the idol rankings. They're fuckin back!

Really enjoyed this series. It's definitely my choice for most underrated show of Winter 2013.

I love Start:Dash, so for that song to be chosen for the finale was just perfect. I'm glad they didn't get to perform at the Love Live concert, things would have gone a little too perfectly if they had. Although its still a milestone that they prevented the closure and found their passion for being idols again.

Pretty fun ride overall. I found the characters a little bland even though each of them are very different visually and how they act as well. Personal favourites have to be Nico and later on, Eli.

Didn't really like the OP, it must have been the 3D models and the choreography, but I loved the ED. For an idol show, I thought the songs were great but I had little motivation to feel excited for later episodes. Luckily, I was always left feeling entertained week after week. 6/10.

8/10 from me. It was just really fun to watch every week and it made me smile. I loved the music too and the CG dance animation wasn't near as bad as some other anime.

I do think it was the wrong decision to make Kotori stay though. Studying abroad seemed like a huge once in a lifetime opportunity for her. (But I guess her true feelings were wanting to stay and be an idol too).

Lovely anime, I like it how it's mainly just about how the group develops rather than IM having multiple arcs for every character's own issues that they need to solve.

Wow... what a disappointing episode. I had hope they preformed the opening song in the anime but I guess not.

All the pointless drama with Kotori was extremely annoying.

Enjoyed the start of the anime, disliked the ending.

Also, might have just been me, but the CG was the worst in this episode.

Well, there was a LoveLive! but u's didn't compete so Arise won. However, there will be more LoveLive! competitions. We know from the OP and various PVs that u's takes part in LoveLive!

You're right and since the PVs and OP already show the 9 of them competing at LoveLive! we know it has to be this year before the three third years graduate. I suppose they could keep in touch but I'd say it is more likely that the second season takes place before the end of the school year.

Yes, I loved the show and the CG dancing was not noticable to me, unlike AKB0048 which I really wanted to import but some of the CG dancing was really bad and jarring when they switched. I am importing LoveLive!, already have the BestLive! collection with the 6 PVs and the 1st volume and in BD it looks great to my eyes! Sounds great too!

Kotori had to stay though, she's in all the PVs and the OP when they perform at LoveLive! so she can't leave yet. Maybe she will go later, who knows... at the end of season two perhaps.

Anyways, loved the show, 5/5 for this episode, 9/10 for the season. Already have all the CDs and BDs so far and will buy every one they put out from now on! I listen to them every day, just can't get enough!

Only disappointments were that they didn't include more songs! Like someone mentioned above, Snow Halation especially I would have liked to see but we always have season 2! And I can always watch the Snow Halation PV a few zillion more times but I would love to see some story molded around it as the PV actually sort of has some build up to the song.

Speaking of Idolm@ster, did anyone else notice how the drama with Honoka was kinda similar to Haruka from Idolm@ster own drama. Both went into a depressive state, and both had an outside group remind them of the good times which helped them snap out of there depression. While the details are different, the structure is similar (although in my opinion Haruka's drama was much better and more subtle than Honoka's).

Coincidence.........probably, but just thought I'd give my thoughts on this.

This was a disappointment, the last two episodes were absolute shit and felt extremely forced. Whoever came up with this stupid drama crap idea should be fired. I'm sure that this'll get a second season because this wasn't an ending and this kinda shit is really popular for some reason.

This was promising at first but got bland mid-way and had the shittiest, most predictable ending ever.
I'm doubting between 2/10 and 3/10... 2/10.

I wonder why this is not an ending. As much as a tale of the foundation phase of Muse it is an ending. And your later part of sentence just show how you are not willing to see how this is popular in the first place.

Yeah, using superlative words does not make you look more convincing. I can see how very soon you will use the same "shittiest" and "most predictable" words to describe a show again.

They missed an opportunity to connect with the Wonderful Rush PV there! The real reason why Kotori shouldn't have gone is because she forgot her pillow, had to go home to get it and missed her flight and then reconsidered studying abroad and decided not to go! LOL

Great ep, great series. Yeah wish they had more time at the airport, but its fine with Honoka's Instantaneous Teleportation.

A very good find Symbv :)

I love the fact that it was in stereo so I could hear individual track on each earpiece. I gotta say this mixing is actually pretty pleasant except for Kotori's chipmunking voice popping up now and then >_< Not to be against Milalinsky but I wish she would rather tone it down a little.

Also, it was amazing how the two tracks diverged, and then joined again toward the end. As much as I like the first Start: Dash, the second version definitely sounds better and more professional. It is such as great way of showing subtle improvement as discussed xD

Honoka's solo part and subsequent instrumental are definitely the high note of this performance. They added backing vocals which sound even better. Honoka's new line: "Yet another dream is born," emphasizes again µ's evolution from the first concert. Subtlety and symbolism are everywhere. Love Live! does know its strong point :)

Reading back on the lyrics of each song, they are all meaningful and fit well with contexts. Native speakers have the benefit of immediately understand the lyric, which can increase enjoyment immensely.

Another part of those two performances that stood out to me was that one movement of Honoka's - at "kirihiraku hazu sa" in the first performance and "nukedashita hazu sa" in the second. The shots mirror each other, except that Honoka's face in the first looks pained and troubled, but in the second looks happy and refreshed. A nice touch that I really liked (especially since that particular shot had left an impression on me from the very first time I saw it.

Also of note is that while the first phrase is in non-past tense, indicating a trial that has yet to be conquered ("will open up (to the future)"), the second is in past tense ("have broken away (from being lost)").

(Translations are very rough, I'd have to translate, like... the entire stanzas to get them sounding right. XD)

The chipmunking voice of Kotori needs some getting used to, but it is also the moe-ness of her voice that gets so many to become Kotori's fans :-)

Indeed this is precisely what many fans in Japan said. They really took care to make sure the two versions are synched and will join together after the divergence. There are a lot of examples of how the elements in the series were referenced back to early episodes and this is one great thing about this show.
