| More of Komari - my fav character and her moments with Rin. Nice to see that they plan to elaborate more about their relations. Too bad that Mio didn't went into her yaoi Kyouske x Riki fanfics ;) but it was great either way. It was weird that no one noticed that HUGE cat during show :P but well whatever. And I liked this foreshadowing towards Refrain |

Bits and pieces of foreshadowing related to the climax doesn't make all the other nonsense any more palatable. I'll admit that this episode was good bc the viewer can feel the enveloped mystery and "Key magic". The following episodes will probably be good as well. I'll say again, Refrain doesn't make 20+ episodes of "children doing nothing" (which that air time completely overshadows the fragmented bits of mystery) good. The focus is lost far too often and easily. Even if you are aware of the climax. |

| Fascinating episode. I gasped when I saw the eight dwarfs, even though I don't know what they mean. I almost cried when I saw how much work Komari did for Rin, and my heart stopped with Komari's "disappearance." You know, it was LB! the anime that got me more interested in Key. I'm going to put the VN on hold until the whole anime is over. Now I'm starting Rewrite, and boy, it's hilarious. IZEROII said: That may be so, but this is more of a SOF show than anything, which gives foreshadowing and a unified story more value. You don't usually see, well, a culminating plot in SOF shows. | I actually think that the anime did a good job incorporating the puppet show into the story. Almost had a heart attack with the rooftop scene. Only problem was how they kept cutting off "Ring Ring Ring"...that's one of my favorite songs in the series! |

Idk, the common route execution could be (much) better, but Refrain is the meat of Little Busters. I couldn't give the Little Busters VN more than a 7.5 overall if I only read the common route and 4 character routes, and had little knowledge of the Secret of the World. It just doesn't reach too much of a purpose in the first season alone. http://myanimelist.net/anime/13655/Little_Busters!/stats There are still ~20,000 people watching it according to myanimelist, despite those who have dropped it, and a lot of people haven't put in their ratings, so it's likely to change a bit after the season's over. But yeah, it's too early to speak about it. I'm just glad there are apparently a lot of people following it, and hopefully more will come join us for the bus ride next season. |

Anime original series probably do, like series like Psycho-Pass, Cowboy Bebop, etc. Heh, there's some importance to the # of ribbons Komari has, and the order of the 10 Little Busters I listed, but I won't spoil you further, I just like to drop hints to see if other people catch them ^^ |

| D'aww. I never thought an episode about puppet shows could be so cute and heartwarming! Also nice to see more of Komari, I feel like she's been neglected ever since her route ended near the beginning. |

Its almost as though JC staff is saying hey "hey we know this is going to happen but you dont, i wonder how much we can foreshadow before you figure out exactly what it is." I kinda lawled at the puppet show mio scene for 2 reasons, one it was funny as it was but also in the original VN, the voice actress who voiced rin did riki as well, it felt like a subtle nod to that. Though you know, it kinda reminds me that the cast for this anime and for the VN before it is just so spectacular. each of the actors and actresses are good enough to be main characters in their own anime. I must admit that all the VAs in the anime have showed their stuff in one part or another. For sure Mio was flushed out this episode, can't say many other animes have a full slot of good VAs for their main characters. |

| Super cute episode, but as an anime only viewer I've totally lost it by now which route we're currently in or what we've of which one so far. Kinda thought this was part of Rin's route, but seems like it was common route. Damn, I hope they'll continue fast after this season ends. |

My point is, even those who didn't read the VN will understand that this is not an anime about doing nothing. That there is a deep and dramatic story waiting further on. You can't deny that anymore. Also, how did you come up with a count of 20+ episodes of doing nothing? We had 4 heroine arcs, with 3-4 episodes each plus introduction. I sure would like to know what 'nothing' looks like in your world. 'Cause to me, most parts of that 'nothing' are in fact story. Mio route was pretty well-made, Haruka route was an a success and Kud route totally took the cake. The episodes are getting better, meaning - there is a positive tendency. Sure, the first few episodes weren't as well executed. The common route episodes weren't pointless either. They serve an important purpuse: To empathize the friendship topic and make sure the whole series doesn't feel like there's nothing but drama. They increase the impact on the ending. |

Anyway, this was a really strong episode. Just about every scene had me laughing, smiling, or going insane thinking about the secret of the world. | Ok chapter. 2.7/5. I felt it some boring at times, but it started to get more intresting in half. After looking for Komari´s story about the Girl, the Boy and the 8 dwarfs, the story is having more sense now... Fuck, I could see that the final 2 chaps. will be intresting. | So I finally caught up with this series after everyone was gushing about the Kud episode. I have to admit that i've been pleasantly surprised so far.I'm enjoying the adaption a lot more than I thought I would. Animated Rin is a nice bonus as well. Enjoyed this episode. I was kinda surprised by the rooftop scene. Didn't quite expect to see that, but it wasn't unwelcomed; It actually kinda made me tear up a bit goddamn it. Can't help but adore Komari and Rin's friendship So much foreshadowing as well. i really can't wait to see how they pull off Refrain, If pulled off right, it'll probably get me just as hard as it did the first time...and second... |
