| Strangely, we know since the episode 1 that theywill end together, the proposal of Ryuji makes me laugh a lot, it was so pathetic :/ The decision to run away was a cliché like there is a lot in this anime (even if it's a semi-fake), the quarrel between Ryuji and his mother was so useless, like a reason to them to run away.... This anime is bad, really, I mean everyone is well intentioned, every students is nice to everyone, the only reason of the fights is that everyone is stupid and doesn't understand each other..... Well a kind of utopia, this anime is not realistic at all, if it was a comic show like school rumble it could be ok, but trying to make something like that serious, it's just pitiful ^^" (sorry for the bad english, I hope you can understand what I mean ;) ) |

| I think that the folks who feel negatively about this episode and the general direction the anime took (I'm one) are more outspoken because there is a sense of loss and betrayal when you're emotionally invested in something which then disappoints you for whatever reason. I went back and looked at the first 13 eps. Since it was obvious that the leads would get together at the end the story had to be about the journey not the destination. And it started out as a wonderful story about two flawed individuals - one agressively defensive one compulsively making things right - set in almost perfect balance. I was fascinated. To me, when three or more main female characters are in love with the the lead male character it's a harem and that's where TD headed. From that point the wonderful lightness and charm were replaced with tawdry melodrama which peaked in a scene that was already a movie cliche before sound came to motion pictures. The scene: Two people, having spent the entire story saying they weren't attracted to one another, find themselves in an environment outside their comfort zone where one (usually he) is standing, sitting or laying in water, mud, chocolate syrup, crude oil, or some such uncomfortable substance while the other is either off to one side or above without a mark on her or him. Then, to the surprise of all (not), she or he somehow joins him or her in the uncomfortable substance where they profess their eternal love to one another etcetera and so forth... What's upsetting is not that the scene was used - it was almost inevitable - but, given the brilliant writing at the start of the series, the stereotypical way it was handled and how it was used as a springboard for the bizarre antics which followed; the worst being Minori handing over her life savings. Since I've come this far I'll stay for the end mostly to find out if the teacher gets a boyfriend. |

I planned on giving it a 6 during the first half of the show. But somewhere during the middle of the show, it made a turn for the better, and now, I'm totally in love it the series. |

I agree with you on all the stuff you said, except the whole "it took a turn for the worst" thing. It did deteriorate in quality, but it was entertaining the whole way. I won't lie when I say that I have cringed at many scenes in the past few episodes that were just so fruity and unreasonably fake that it made me embarrassed just to be watching the damn thing. |

| Well, I literally would cringe, squint and kind of smile in pain. :| I just realized that ToraDora, in 25 episodes, encompasses an entire 10 freaking novels. That's why it feels so rushed. But what this means is, no season 2 :|. Perhaps the spin-off will be animated. |

| Episode was pretty fast and somewhat predictable, but wasn't shitty (albeit not as good as the rest of the series so far, IMO). My heart broke for Ya-chan though. ;__; But it didn't make me cry and with me being a sappy person... The fact that things seemed a bit rushed seemed to cut out a bit of the emotional value for me. |

| I must say that this series is relly turning from average to awsome after the christmas episode! I relly hope that they make a season 2 of this and that isen't impossible since that manga is still publishing. But i sure did hope for Ryuuji x Minori but Taiga isen't bad eiher after she has calm down a bit, she was to violent in the begining. And that marriage thing felt "abit" to rushed! Now i just hoping for the kissing scen ;) |

| wow, spectacular episode!!! first it starts off with major drama, then it calms down into a romantic situation, and then you think the drama is over, it gets better! this time we got to see more into taiga's past, and ryuuji's family, makes you wonder how they'll end it? |

| I didn't realize there were 10 novels, that might explain quite a bit about how and why the second half of the series played out the way it did. I think I would have enjoyed another year or two, if written as well as the first half of the series, of Taiga storming though life like a force of nature and Ryuuji trying for some kind of damage control in her wake. I dunno, it's interesting to think about a series where the two are a committed couple in college. I would hope the first episode would be entitled "Who killed Inko-chan?" |

| Ah, so it isn't being needlessly stretched out. Quite the opposite, it's incredibly fast paced! I'm not sure about the whole eloping thing, but it seems to make for compelling stuff. I felt sorry for Ryuuji's grandparents. The first time they ever see him and he turns up on the doorstep with his 'wife'. That must have been a surprise. |
