| Its epic because it gets exponentionally bigger as the series goes on, from underground to space, from a small mecha to a ship the size of the frickin moon, its the exponentional factor that makes us shout 'epic', its the grand scale of a bunch of plucky humans kicking logic, reason and the odds against them in the face and going forward anyway. A character says, I dont know in which episode, 'your chances of succeeding was 0%, it seems reason doesnt matter to you guys" which is meant to make you laugh. Laugh? Remember how to do that guys? Think I need to bump a thread I made a while back... |

| Awesome episode. For me the little part with Nia at the end gave it a nice little uplift too, on top of their battle victory against the Anti-Spiral Extermination System or whatever it's called. :) And of course, the Viral and Simon combo is pure win. As was Gurren-Lagann combining with Arc-Gurren and... the moon cathedral thingy. Just -awesome-. :D |

The very reason why I was disappointed with the first post time skip episodes was due to the very fact that everyone was now serious and talking about government and everything. Don't get me wrong, I love intelligent series, but TTGL is NOT meant to think, its meant to make us give in to our primal and basic instincts, forget every notion of reality and just have fun as we watch pretty shiny things blow shit up! Anyone here want a serious anime with giant robots? Go watch Neon Genesis Evangelion, also by Gainax. If you want to use your brains that much, it won't disappoint. |

| Absolutely fantastic episode. My favourite, by far. I never expected a Ganmen to control another Ganmen. AND THE MOON?! Damn, that was epic. I'm glad to have the action back. However, those few episodes were still pretty good. They built quite the suspense for me. Also, I'm glad to see Rossiu all mentally beat up. He deserved it. |
| has to be the most epic episode. Not only was the gurren lagann controlled by Simon AND viral, but it was also Man and BEAST!. And then it combined with the massive ship. It would have been even more epic if the big mecha that was joined to the ship joined with the moon causing the body to be at the top, the head being the ship, and that head having another head. And arms came out of the moon. Or if the moon tarnsformed into an even bigger meccha!. All controlled by a tiny baby mecha. |

| i wonder how the people felt when the arc gurren lagann transformed.. i mean everything just turned around and around, how could they not be effected when they are just sitting there :P i wonder if the human citizens will be all "simon our hero" and licking his ass again, stupid fuckers.. a few episodes ago i really hoped that the humans who abadoned simon should have just died in deep despair and only those who truly believe in him would survive.. of course that's something that won't ever happen but they really deserved it |
| Great episode as always but i'm confused: Why was the Spiral King's ship disguised as a the moon? How did the aliens make it shoot cannons and try to ram Earth? That doesn't really make sense. |
