| Really good start imo, the characters aren't too interesting at this point, except am really digging the katana chick ;) The CG was done excellently but i would still prefer 2D, music is great, animation too. Overall great first episode, next episode!! C.C and Suzaku! Woop WOOP! -Lelouch better show up sometime! |
| Wow, the first movie really hooked me. I like the characters so far, especially the Chinese man that appeared at the end of the movie. I'm looking forward to Suzaku's and CC's appearance next time, but I won't be very pleased if Lelouch appears... I love him to bits, but... I don't know. |

| The movie was very good, hope those two main characters will have a bit of romance and at the end Hyuuga said that about him and the movie stoped noooo!!! want to see more but next will be airing next year :'( Give me a weapon!!! I will enter battle until the next movie is out. Hile Europe!! |

| I expected this to be terrible and I was afraid it would have no relevance to the storyline as I could not see any of the side characters in the character list but knowing C2 will be in the next ep is just fantastic. |

| It was OK but didn't give me goosebumps. I don't mind the CG looked well done. Story ummm yeah it was alright but waiting until 2013 to watch ep 2 then probably 6 months for ep 3. The pacing will feel slow and lack tension, same thing happened with Gundam Unicorn. I'll watch it but it will always lack something because of the way its released. |

| "Leila... trying to make sense of everything is an exercise in stupidity." What's up with all that hatred? That was GREAT! Seems like the closest thing to "War and Peace" I have ever seen in anime. (some people will kill me for saying that) -- Sure, it'll be great to know of ANOTHER show whose intentions are simillar. |

| This was boring, just really boring. I loved Code Geass season 1 and 2, but this isn't anywhere near as good... Kinda dissapointing even. I expected more. I hope the second part will be better, the preview looked better. |
| Well I was disappointed for such a project the only good animation were during the mech fights. Everything else was average. The big land moving fortress reminded me of zoids back in the day lol. Also I never really liked the story lines where for some reason Japan is taken over then the people of Japan are basically treated as slaves etc this is not a new story it appears in several different anime I never understand that. I never really like the original series that much in the first place I thought it was hyped to much for a mediacore story. I thought this would be different but they keep the same looking character designs which I didn't like much they look better now though. Also it being like a year till the next episode is just stupid, I know there trying to copy the gundam unicorn series but the time gap is stupid. Besides the quality doesn't merit a whole year for just 1 episode look at the K anime it has dazzling animation and their releasing that every thursday/friday. This code geass just wasn't good enough . |

| That was quite good I reckon. Akito's not a big talker but that's all right I suspect some memory erasing from his brother(Xing) before sending him to EU to mess things up. But a good plot overall. I hope Suzaku just appears though cause giving him too big of a role would spoil it. wait and see |
| Everyone's hating on it already even though the original series had like 10x the amount of time to develop plot, characters, setting, themes, etc. Come on people. And really this is supposed to be a side story to the main story, so I'd honestly rather not see Lelouch, Suzaku, C.C. so I don't see why people are complaining. Can't you just be happy we have a new anime based in the Geass world? Also also, lovin the music, it's a fresh change from what I recall. |

| This seems..... okay I guess. I think the Geass series as a whole would have been better without this movie pack though. Though since the movies are gonna be released so far apart ... meh. Seems like everyone is going to have a geass in this movie to. I wish there not to be cameos but it's gonna get cheesy me thinks. I'm more sad about the fact that all the annoying ass fan boys and fan girls are gonna come out of their caves to be idiots again and swear that dead characters are alive or something. FYI This is a different series, not really a prequel and not really a sequel. |

| 8/10...it has a decent potential for such a cliche side story, like the potential guilty crown had in its initial episodes~ Some audiences are knee-jerk critical to write akito off too early, so they might miss something as it seems the OVA/movie series was just given a fairly cold start by the production. I shall expect story progression coming the next episode, which is a long way next year, and hoping it won't get messed up in a cash cow-like fashion >__< |

| I actually really liked Akito, he seems like a pretty awesome dude. How he took down that jerk at the party was pretty hardcore, and I am very intrigured by the fact that he has died before. Leila is pretty cool too, I really like her. ...Still most excited about the fact that Suzaku will be in the next one that :3 |
| Can I point out something? At the beginning of the episode, when Akito is fighting and he seems like he's using geass, it reminded me of the order Suzaku had received from Lulu not to die - he seemed to be in the same situation. And the fact that he said at the end that he has already died once made me once more think of Suzaku who had supposedly died before Lelouch when he had been fighting. I know that this is supposed to be before R2, but... it just made me think... |

| The production quality was high aside from the boring dialogue at the beginning what followed was stunning the Mech battles, scenery and starting chemistry between Leila and Akito The preview looks good with CC showing up. I wished they would drop the cross fixing between science fiction and the current Geography. One may think they didn't got over WW2 yet |

| So far so good it looks like things will get pretty interesting from here on out, especially with the possible return of old characters. I wonder why they decided to go with CG, is it cheaper? I'm sure most would rather the hand drawn style. |

| I was eagerly awaiting the release and the subs for this episode since it was announced a few years back. I should have waited until all the episodes were out. Then I would not have to wait until they release the next episode in what I hope will be a couple of months. Still I am glad Code Geass is back even though it is not focused on the story line. |
| I find this movie good.. Liked the mecha fights with those CGI animations. It's been a long time since I've seen CLAMP characters.. As to the story, can't say much but I do hope it goes well. The jazz soundtrack seems OK.. And oh, CC <3 |
| Finally sat down and watched it today. The story was OKAY, but I loved the fight animations. A strong female lead is pretty cool and that Geass nostalgia XD |
| The episode was OK, but reminded me more of Gundam than Code Geass....it seems like it's going to center around mecha action and the overused "looking for a place where I belong" theme, which is definitely right up Gundam's alley. NOT getting any CG vibes. But oh well. I hope episode 2 is better. |

| I just saw the blue ray version for this episode and the cg is freakin' amazing! I don't know how it is cheap at all. The mechas even look a lot more impressive than the series imo. |

| Anyways I already saw this episode a while back. I think it is well worth the watch with some impressive looking mecha battles but its a bit slow and not nearly as exciting as the series...yet. It has lots of promise and episode 2 looks like it is gonna be epic! Overall a 7.5/10. |
