hmm The first episode hasn't really hooked me to the show just yet. I hope it doesn't turn out to be like one of those animes that have a stereotypical storyline. I can kind of guess how it's going to continue but I'm hoping I'm wrong. Won't judge the show just yet - looking forward to the next ep.

Pretty much feel the same way. The first ep doesn't really make me want to watch more but I still will to see where this show goes.

Suprisingly, I enjoyed the first episode. Not so much the story so far, but the whole look and feel of the anime is very nice.

Did NOT like the random CGI bits, not a fan of that in the first place.

Loved the music (not the OP and ED). I thought that for how dramatic the story seems to be, the music is quite fitting. I'll keep watching, and see how it goes.

I didn't expect to like this so mutch. This could very well be the best show this season.
I'm so gonna watch this. Ein is pretty cute or rather she's moe!

Assassins like assassins.

Really good episode, and very surprisingly, although it was the first episode, they've shown us many hints and pretty much cleared several aspects. I haven't watched the OVAs nor read the desciption, and it's just great.

Definitely sticking with this. It has such an extraordinary potential, that'll be sad if they screw it up.

But mostly I like the relationship between them two. Few words, more action. I've always liked this type of communicating, just glance at someone and they know what's on your mind, no words necessary.

Cheers!

I really liked the first ep, its staying pretty true to the game its based on thus far

I suggest if you like the series you give the game a shot, its not hard to find (but its a complete pain in the ass to play because its a DVD game thing -.-')

They changed the story completely. The original one was a visual novel about a teenager witnessing a murder of a journalist and ended up abducted by the killers and trained to become an assassin alongside them, but this new story is much better...

This is like Black Lagoon except that the protagonist has supernatural abilities. I cannot think of another anime right now that is similar to it. This seems more interesting than the original visual novel, the least to say..

Did anyone notice that in the beginning, it was the end scene from the movie Scarface. It had the staircase and "the world is yours" globe fountain and everything. Well it said the world is mine but that was just as a joke.

Wow! I remember playing the game years ago and now this anime has made my fingers itch for it again. The animation is fluid, extremely distinct, and just gorgeous. And like some have already said, the music is awesome!! So haunting, lyrical, melodic..... Can't say enough really. I love it all except for the ending theme and I can ignore that. What I do remember storywise from the game does seems to fit pretty close to the anime so far. Some of the plotpoints mentioned by Kira01 will probably come in later. Altogether, this is an anime I highly anticipate more of and I will DEFINITELY be watching for more!!!

THIS show looks ***** AWESOME!!!!!! Reminds me of FIRST season of Gunslinger girl. It's Dark, Great sound of guns (i just loved sound of that silencer pistol!), emotionless killers. And those sunglasses + music made it a like freaking MATRIX. Knife fight was cool also! I'm gona LOVE THIS SHOW! 1000/5.

First episode of the anime must be like this!Great job!

Didn't plan to watch it and ran across the show rather accidentally!
First of all, that's not the kind of anime I normally prefer. However I guess I'll stick with it for at least a couple of more eps to see if some some romance's coming. ^^ And like some of you mentioned, it seems the chances for the feelings between the two to develop are rather high. So I'm really looking forward to that direction ^^
The general line of the story felt quite predictable and straighforward for me.. but I might be wrong. Besides, I normally concentrate on the journey details/emotions rather than destination. So let's see what it brings. Some well-directed and smart action is nice too!
In any case, glad to hear more from ALI PROJECT!!! While it's definitely not their best single, I still ♥ them so much!!

PS.
Ayako subs are out and looks more correct and pleasant (I like the fonts and timing more).. but the video quality in Desire's verions is much superior.. so I wish it were Ayako-Desire releases isntead ^^

I'd agree with felt like Noir (surprise, surprise), but not with Darker than Black. I was quite honestly bored for most of this episode. The animation is not bad, but not original either. I wouldn't choose to watch it just because of that.

We'll see if I give this one another episode or not. It's debatable.

I was pleasantly surprised, since I haven't liked the last few Bee Train series I've seen. The series looked really, really good, and I liked some of the unique camera angles they threw in (like seeing from below the launch pad). The character designs were also very pleasing (yay hot assassin boy!). Even if the plot is a bit cliche (so far, and this is of course only the first episode), the eyecandy is enough for me to keep coming back.

What's with Bee Train and amnesia?

Well, it has the same feel as Noir, Ein even looks like Kirika. Since I liked Noir I think I'll be liking this one too, I'm already expecting a mind cracking, slow paced, gun action packed series.

the first music played in the ep sounds an awful lot like a certain song from the Matrix. like, i don't know, THIS? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hu0rGwySDpE

I can't be the only one who noticed this.

edit: now that i saw the whole ep, i can say that a lot of it reminds me of Matrix, which is perfectly fine.

After I watched the first episode few nights ago, I’m extremely impressed with the animation, and I am more interested in Zwei and Ein's past. Overall, I’m definitely liked this series so far. I have no comment about story, but I hope that one have to be good and interesting. Oh, Ein is so cute.

Hikaru Nanase is the composer for this show. Kokia does the OP Ali Project does the ED

As for them sounding alike, they do sound slightly alike but they soon differentiate from each other. It's more than likely a coincidence, I found music that sounds like something else all the time.

I don't really watch many series such as this, but even I could tell the storyline is pretty generic. But I have a good feeling about this series. This was my most anticipated series for the new season and after this episode it feels very deserving. Plently of good series this season, but this one definitely had the best first episode.

I enjoyed the music. I loved the animation style. The characters and storyline are pretty intriguing. It has a very dark feeling to it. I think this season may just end with this one being my favorite. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint me.

Hmmm it was better than expected, and better than the latest Mashimo/Bee Train installments. Semms like this one is more a "Girl and guy with guns" than a simple "Girl with guns", and so for now, it's more interesting than Madlax and Cazador, resembling more Noir. But a Noir in the US, at least for the first episode.

As an introduction, it was pretty well executed, we know the characters and the organization already, the themes are very clear from the start (the relationship between two assassins from opposite genders, a political manipulation based on the organization deeds and the "phantoms do not exist, we can't see phantoms" them too). Well, it seems to have potential, especially since the art and animation are really good compared to the usual Bee Train productions. On top of that, it seems that Mashimo wasn't drunk (oh wait, maybe he was more than usual?) in this episode, the direction was absolutely great, practically at the same level as Noir.

It has been a very long time since I have seen a Mashimo show this good, so I'm quite pleased by what I saw, and I'll continue this one, even if it is by no mean original or fun (but which Bee Train series is?). Oh and I forgot, it is FAR better than the horrible Phantom OVA released some years ago (which I strongly suggest that everyone forget about).

In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same.
