1. Hands down cried the most during Elfen Lied Top tear jerker:When the other orphans brutally murdered Lucy's puppy just to bully her. I can't take scenes of animal cruelty, but also the fact that it was Lucy's sole happiness for some time. Other significant scenes: Nana's need to be loved by her "father"; when Mariko, the 3rd gen, gets killed by her father when he sacrifices his life.. I felt sad even though she's so evil 2. Pandora Hearts Cheshire's story. I was so upset at how he was killed when all he wanted to do was love Alice and protect her, and how much he tried to do that even after becoming a Chain. 3. Neon Genesis Evangelion Big time when Yui Ikari gets killed. Rei giving up so much for Gendou and keeping his broken glasses. 4. Macross Frontier a few times 5. Ghost in the Shell SAC Surprised myself by getting really emotional when the Tachikomas sacrifice themselves, even though most of the time I wasn't sure I liked them. 6. Fruits Basket Kyo 7. Toradora The whole situation with Taiga's parents and how she tries so hard to act tough like she isn't affected by it. |

I was taken back with Cowboy Bebop: when Spike died taking out his former gang. A manly way to die and end a series. Clannad: When the Tomoya's daughter died. Man, she had a tough life then she up and died in his arms. |

Full Metal Alchemist #1. When Maes dies. #2. Roy proclaiming: "It's going to rain today." at Maes funeral. #3. The ending when Ed was transported through the gate to our world after sacrificing himself for Al was really touching, having a similarly close relationship with my younger brother the whole story really resonates with me. The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya When Kyon dies. I thought it was really emotional. K-On! #1. When Yui really makes an effort to do something nice for the granny down the street to thank her for taking care of them. #2. When they go on stage for the last time and everyone is wearing HTT T-shirts. #3. When they finished their last performance and were all sitting around in the clubroom and they were sad because it was the last time they were going to play there together, and even Ritsu was crying. I almost start crying just thinking about it. Really the entirety of episode 20 was a baww episode. #4. When they play Tenshi Ni Fureta Yo for Azunyan that got me crying. |

hmmm... I think I can only say I cried for realz in pokemon the first movie... Full Metal Alchemist I was really sad when Hughes died in FMA, OMG i raged so hard, he was like the most innocent person there and they killed him off, oh and when that guy who made chimeras, turned his daughter into one, and then scar kills him and then she (in that chimera form) keeps calling for her father, that was really sad. The most recent times when I was close to crying was in Naruto and One Piece and Gintama. Naruto When I learned the truth behind Itachi, and how he was forced to bear so many burdens, that's just heavy. I was also sad when Jiraya died, his death was just sad. One Piece Okay, Ace's death was just plain sorrow, no other way to say it. I really thought Luffy was gonna save him, just like he saved Robin. That was heavy. I didn't get sad at Whitebeard's death but I just wanted to say, ohly ****, He died like a man, standing, with bullet holes, sword stuck to him, and half his head missing...just wow Gintama Gintama has it's emotional moments especially when it was the episode where Okita's sister was sick. What got me close to crying was when, Hijikata (who she loved) was eating Okita's sister's really spicy snacks, and then he was like: "damn it, it's so spicy, I'm getting tears in my eye..." You know its sad when one of the most toughest characters starts crying. |

Funny, with me it's exactly the other way round. I have NEVER cried for any live action movie/series. With anime/manga on the other hand it's for some strange reason really easy to make me at least tear up. I have no idea why that is. Anywhere there is really a lot I could list. I'll just post a few. Crying because of sadness: -Air's ending (that literally had me bawl, I couldn't listen to the goddamn opening for weeks after that without tearing up) -Kanon and Clannad at some points (not as much as Air though) -ending of Ga-Rei Zero -Grave of the Fireflies, the entire last 10 or 15 minutes had me in tears -FMA Hughes death and funeral -Code Geass on several occasions: The death's of Euphy and Shirley Then the entire final sequence, especially Nunnaly screaming and crying for her dead brother is just heartwrenching. Nazuka Kaori's performance in that scene is outstanding. Also turn 25.01 of the picture drama which shows the aftermath of the final episode. There is a bunch of stuff happening (fireworks) that is already quite emotional but then at the very end, with "Stories" playing in the background, they simply show us THIS picture. I actually was completely fine until that part, but then I literally broke down in tears. crying for other reasons: It's not only the sad stuff that can make me cry but also scenes that are emotional for other reasons. -Aria has very many cases where it just gives a warm, fuzzy feeling inside. Episode 9 of Origination (Alice <3) and the final episode deserve particular mentioning. -the final episode of Azumanga Daioh (of all things). The entire show had me crying from laughter but when the graduation ceremony comes, the girls go their seperate ways, saying goodbye to Yukari-sensei and you know this is the ending and you'll never see them again...yeah that had me tear up. -in general (happy) endings to series I really loved. Simply because they are over and I remember the good time I had watching. When I'm close to tears at the end of a show, even if it wasn't actually a sad ending but simply because of the fact they ended, it means the show was great. I could add a hell of a lot more but that's enough. |

I think I haven't posted here, sorry if I am repeating my choices. Grave Of The Fireflies is the obvious choice. Many moments of this film had me in tears, and interestingly it wasn't the ending what made me cry more intensely, but that scene where Setsuko is burying the dead fireflies. Cowboy Bebop had me teary-eyed when Ed was leaving, with Call me, call me sounding in the background, and Faye's loneliness. I have rewatched this scene many times in YouTube and I never ever get tired of it. Other than that, of course, the masterpiece ending. Azumanga Daioh touched me in a very intense way in its last episode. When I have grown such a deep compenetration with its characters, for some reason no matter if it's just the quality of the show or my own personal reasons, I find the mere fact there's a last episode quite depressing, and all of that considering how good that ending was and how well it closed the circle. I have cried, or at least got impressed at many Ghiblies apart from Grave of the fireflies. Spirited away at the train scene, Porco Rosso at the tale Porco tells to Fio, Only yesterday at its (so satisfying) ending, and Nausicaa had me when the Matriarch finally understood that the old prophecy was happening. One of the stories of the Ghiblies short compilation was extremely touching too, it involved a school, nostalgia and that stuff. Future Boy Conan made me cry at some times: the narration of the settlement of a few men and women in the Lost Island, Monsley's dog, doctor Rao's funeral... Anne of Green Gables was another great one, with Matthew's death and the reaction of Marilla. And the ending of Millennium Actress. That's all what I recall so far. |

I just recently got around to watching "Beck" and It got me when i would see the flash backs of the memorys he shared with his childhood friend. It also really got me when he started to get close to the other girl in the series. It really bugged me because it had this romance /young love aspect to it but it never came close to putting some type of ending ont the relationship that they lead you to believe was going on. Video girl Ai - Very good just watched this one today and it was quite sad at times seeing the conflicting feelings and the overall sadness of the people in the series. |

5 cm per second when akari and takaki finally meet in the subway station it was pretty emotional and got to me, and at the end when you lose that last shred of hope that maybe they will find eachother, i found it really difficult to let go of that. even the second chapter with kanae had me a bit teary eyed, especially when she said something along the lines of i know he will never look at me, but even still i know i will wake up tomorrow and still love him. sigh, what a beautiful movie, it's been almost a year since i've seen it and i still think about it sometimes. angel beats at the end when you find out that kanade received his heart, that caught me by surprise and it was such a beautiful moment. definitely had me a bit watery eyed at this point clannad afterstory where to begin... when tomoya takes ushio on a trip and she loses her toy in the field, tomoya says he will buy her another one but she says it was the only one, the first thing daddy gave her, i'm getting a little watery eyed just thinking about it while writing this. also when tomoya was telling ushio about nagisa and he starts to cry reminiscing. and when ushio collapses in the snowy street and tomoya tells her they are on the train and going on a trip. there were just so many things in afterstory that really tugged at my heartstrings grave of the fireflies when seita comes back to find setsuko making dumplings out of mud and it is clear her body and mind are deteriorating. and then eventually she dies. this was such a beautiful movie, but it's definitely hard to think about knowing things like that happen every day in third world countries and such. kanon makoto. she was just so cute and she loved yuuichi so much. when she says she wants to get married to him and be with him forever. and she dissapears in the field where he first found her. kowarekake no orgel just the end when you see her little headphones on the flower, i found it amazing how such a short story could get me so attached to the characters. the girl who leapt through time when makoto and chiaki are in the crowded street near the end, and chiaki is somewhere off in the distance talking about how he is sorry they couldn't do the things he promised and reminiscing how he had so much fun and didn't want to leave. and when he is explaining that in one future two people died in a train accident and one girl was so taken over by guilt that he couldn't stand by and not do anything about it. all this while makoto is deperately trying to find him in the crowd voices of a distant star as the time between messages for mikako and noboru gets longer and longer, and just the fact that she never gets to say i love you to him, and the end when they are both speaking to themselves but saying the same words. another short, but absolutely beautiful piece of work. true tears when noe is walking alone singing her adorable roach song, and she says inside shinichiro's heart is hiromi. just the situation, and the background music "ichijin no kaze" such a heartbreaking moment and heartbreaking instrumental to go with it. well that's all i can think of right now, i'm at work and remembering all thse moments and finding the best way to write them here has got me a little teary eyed. sigh :p |
