| Finally, after over 120 episodes, I FINALLY got to see a awesome fight for Luffy. Of all the previous fights he had, none had the stakes so high and pushed him to such limits. It always annoyed me how everyone used to give everything from themselves in each fight, except for Luffy. He was always playing, being dumb, getting hit for nothing and then winning easily when he gets a bit angry. Now he has finally learned that many of his enemies won't go easy on him, and will kill him on the first oppotunity. I hope this continues a trend, and he gets to mature a little bit through the series. Also, someone please make an 2 hour compilation video of Vivi running and stumbling, crying and screaming!!! I seriously can't care too much for her anymore, just laugh everytime she starts screaming and crying for the 1000th time. Vhailor said: I like her, she's a sweet, caring grill. | Deadly poison doesn't do shit to Luffy and Crocodile goes full retard by not using his powers the majority of the fight. He's been able to disappear before by turning into sand so why not use that to avoid getting hit? Quite a disappointing fight tbh. Heck all of the crew's fights during this final phase of the arc could've been better. |

| This arc has been one of the best. I was not a fan of Nami's fight, nor was I the tedious filler stretch we got while trekking through the desert. And to say that this arc couldn't have been sped up and paced better would also be a lie, little happened over large periods of time. That being said there have been other cases of this such as the Khaladore arc but I would argue it was better then as moments like the showdown on the slope were focused on developing the characters, seeing their motives and their pasts over progressing the plot a lot more than Alabasta has been. Still however this arc has been phenomenal in its supporting characters like Cobra, Pell, Koza, Ace, and Nico Robbin, as well as arguably the best villain and almost confirmed for everyone in the universe at least a top two villain. The world building has been the best easily where we've understood a whole island's views, problems, way of life, their development of their views, their philosophies, their issues, their strengths, and more. Our development for own main cast has even been here especially in cases like Usopp and Chopper fighting together, or Zoro learning to use technique in his swordsmanship. I think Arlong arc was better paced, I thought it's development for the cast was more important(although this can be seen as being the case due to being so early that it was necessary and it's harder to do now), I thought the world building and supports were good as well with the supporting cast being nearly comparable to ours here, and the villain Arlong was much less developed in so far as we didn't understand much about him other than his superiority complex and racism. I feel we have a greater grasp on who Crocodile is which I've gotten into detail with my last posts. The fights in Arlong such as Usopp vs Big Lips, and Zoro vs Hachi, Sanji vs Karate Shark, or Luffy vs Arlong were all good, especially the Usopp fight being one of my all time favorites, but I would argue outside of Nami's this arc they've been better overall especially when comparing the somewhat unsatisfying Arlong conclusion to this presumable one. Now to talk about the actual episode, this was by far the most climactic and epic moment we've seen. This is the first use of an orchestral piece like this as far as I recall and it was done beautifully. Luffy smashing Crocodiles hook and beating him into the sky had to have been Luffy's best fight yet. Him absorbing the wind from Crocodile to Kamehameha launch himself into a punch Son Goku style was insane. And not only this, but I already wrote about why I love Luffy vs Crocodile. It's because Luffy and Crocodile go back and forth alike equals. Crocodile may get the fatal blow but he always leaves utterly messed up comparatively much more than the last fight, whereas Luffy comes back with an even greater resolve. It was self evident that Luffy would eventually take this gator down as it went like this as long as he didn't stay permanently dead. That was epic. I feel the rain was for dramatic effect at the moment and if so it was a rule of cool element that saved the day, a symbolic sign that the fight was over perhaps which is excusable I suppose but something to mention. We'll see if it makes more sense, but to change the story off rule of cool or emotive elements alone is something that makes me worrisome for times where it's less excusable. |
| What a way to end an episode by the rain you get me,you know what I mean guys about like the rain was a sign yo to people to stop the fighting because the only way the people would get attention is the rain itself let's be honest no voice is gonna stop the war. If something that didn't happen in a long time happen people are gonna be like what is happening here you know what I mean cuz you know it never rained or didn't rain in a long time,then everyone stopped and heard Vivi's voice the princess' voice and she was like stop fighting and everyone was like hold on you're alive,you were missing and what not. And Crocodile has finally been defeated I mean how much was it 2 3 4 times? I mean Crocodile handled Luffy each time,but something that confused me was the poison Crocodile said that the poison should be affecting his body. He shouldn't be getting up unless he was in that adreline rush or is it because he has the fruit power or something that never affected him in a certain way which Crocodile thought because be honest Luffy never got affected and Luffy man handled him you know what I mean,you know what part was epic when he made himself fat and then SPRING BOARDED to him. Man this arc has been amazing yoo and to think I've enjoyed an arc this much and I'm not even at episode 200 and it's not like there is episode 200,300 it's 400,500,600,700+ ongoing episodes you know what I mean? I know that down the line it's gonna get even better. |

| Vivi desperately crying out for her people to stop fighting to no avail made me feel so bad for her that I almost teared up. I'm really glad that he finally beat Crocodile's goddamn ass and helped her voice reach everyone at last. Luffy getting serious made way for one of the best beatdowns I've ever seen and the classical music that was used in the most climactic moments made it a lot better than it already was! I'm really looking forward to this series trying to top this later on since this is some gold-tier shit. Alabasta's saved and well-hydrated~ |

| That was so beautiful! Love the way Luffy was kicking Croc's arse! The smile at the end though. To me, I think Luffy makes a good captain. I've gotten numb to Vivi's constant screaming. Finally, her voice got the people's attention. |
| Episode so good I had to watch it twice. Love the moment where everything went silent apart from the rain. What a relief to finally hear ame da. One of those beautiful moments where sound design really lead the narrative and created an emotional impact. |

| Fucking finally. The fight is finally over. Crocodile was finally beaten after a long, dragged out and plot-armoured fight. At least the animation for that part was a bit good. Oh wow, Koza is still alive. Yeah, no plot armour at all. Welp, everyone stopped fighting after hearing Vivi once. Ngl I was loving this arc, but during the final segment, there was way too much plot armour and way too many plot conveniences. There were some asspulls and inconsistencies. And some parts were unnecessarily dragged out. |

| What an EPIC Episode!! Emotional rollercoaster. Soundtrack was so good, Luffy kick Crocodile ass was so satisfying. Vivi voice finally has reached everyone π That scream from Vivi VA hit me hard. |

| Another great episode. Maybe the best back to back of the show to date. So good to see Luffy finally beat him. The rain coming down. Super solid. Can’t believe we are now getting close to the end of this saga. |
