| 7/10 First half was amazing, but sadly after that it just began to go under bit by bit. Slightly disappointed as I expected more from when they were going to finally be released, but it just turned into more forced dramatic events. That being said, it had its good moments, but just not as great as the first half was. |

| Great that Mario's surgery was a success, even though it's not really a surprise :) I also like how he meets Sakuragi's mother, and then not letting those shoes go to waste. Mario's dream is that everyone's dream will come true, and I like how he's fulfilling Sakuragi's dream, but he's also enjoying it as well. That ending when Mario was boxing with Sakuragi...;__; so heartwarming. It was a beautiful way to end the anime, though I wish they could've animated the whole manga, which I will read because I want to know what happens to everyone and how it really ends. I enjoyed watching this anime and I like the themes it had, despite some of the cliche execution like having character arcs. But it didn't lessen my enjoyment at all. I will miss these seeing these characters >< |

| Such a great ending to such a great anime! I can't believe I put off finishing this; it may have lost the intensity it had during the first half, but it was still amazing. 10 for the first half, 8 for the second half since there wasn't a Solider arc (although he seemed like he wasn't having any trouble which is probably why) and the sometimes chessy drama, for an average of 9/10 :D |
| Good anime overall but the beginning was definitely more entertaining than the later episodes. I really enjoyed the dark mood and struggle for survival in the first episodes but after they escaped it just wasn't as exciting to watch. Still the characters were pretty interesting and I would watch a S2 if they ever made one. Most likely gonna have to check out the manga. 8/10. |

| If someone ever asks me to rate this, I'll tell them to eat their fist. I honestly have no idea what to tell somebody who asks me if I liked this series. I couldn't stand the cheese at times, I mean how much of it can you cramp into a 24min episode? Turns out, so very much. And yet I watched it to the end after like three years, so it had to have something good about it. |

| Episodes 1 - 12 were a 9.5/10 - gritty, emotional, intense, exciting. The second half is kinda hard to rate, because it was so inconsistent. There were some episodes that were really good and emotional story but others that were way too cliche to be taken seriously. However, Turtle's arc was very good as was this last episode. Satisfying conclusion. So despite not including an arc for Soldier (they could have at least done a one episode arc for him instead of the re-cap in episode 13) and the cheesy stuff early in the 2nd half, I liked it very much. Since I can't put 8.5 I give it a "generous" 9/10. |
| As said numerous times by others. Soldier deserved at least 1 episode.... But I loved the whole brotherhood aspect and slight realism when it came to the harshness of reality.. 9/10 |

| Really cool series. and really heartwarming finale, though it could be quite cheesy and unrealistic at times, drama could be quite forced, still, it was a good ride. I almost cried when Mario was talking to Anchan, then he said "My dream? Isn't that obvious? I am going to make your dream come true, Anchan." Just right in the feels! <3 Mario boxing makes me want to watch HnI. |

| Would love to give it a 10 but the eps after An-chan died was not as interesting as the first half but still great enough to hit me right in the feels. The friendship remained solid all throughout the series so 9/10. Would love to have friends like them but i guess it's impossible irl orz |

| Such a beautiful anime. It took me a whole 10hr to finish this anime. It was totally worth it the back stories the sadness and sorrow it jus felt so beautiful as it had its happy ending. Some things I wished they would've improved on is more screentime for Soldier and Cabbage, really didnt learn much about there past. Overall 10/10 |

| Just finished the series today... I'm giving it 9/10 for the first part (before An-chan dies), everything after that is... a little to cheesy... but it's still nice, proving how their friendship actually last... wrapped the ending nicely, 8/10 I'd say. I'm going to read the manga now. |

| Great series overall. I was kinda weirded out by the first half of the show with the Doctor and shit, but in a good way to show how the shows atmosphere. I think the second half was also decent, but I wasn't really fond of the prostitute story—dragged a bit for me too much—while other chars like Soldier didn't get much of a backstory. Overall, great show. 9/10. |

| Am I the only one who didn't like the ending? I never really felt like rooting for Mario this episode. I just wanted it to end. Whatever. The series was good anyways. 6.5/10 for this episode. I'm edging between a 7 and an 8 for this series. I'd say the first half was an 8.5/10 while the second half was a flat 7/10. |

| This series had a good first half but the 2nd half felt boring. But still the characters were great and I really did love the art. I wished there was slightly less narration. I started of liking it but it got somewhat annoying after a while. Overall 7/10 |

| Overall a really good show. The first half was no doubt better than the second. The second half isn't bad, but it was a bit boring at times. The last episode was a really nice way to end of the story, with Mario boxing. Kind of reminded me of Hajime No Ippo Rising's last episodes. Although, the lack of Soldier did disappoint me. 8/10. |

| Hetai needed more development :( He sounds like a cool person who I'd definitely be interested in his story. Overall, I liked this anime very much. I was emotionlly involved and thrilled through most of the episodes. However, it had waaaay too much sexual content (sort of the whole anime is centred around it), it was little disturbing. The story lacked some depth at few episodes and it was quite cliche at others. Also, Mario was like a twin brother to Anchan -physically and intellectually- which was confusing, it was like Mario died but Anchan didn't. Yet, it was still enjoyable. I am giving it 7/10 and might consider reading the manga since I heard there is lots that the anime didn't cover. Side note: does this type of friendship exists in real life? |

| I would've liked a Soldier arc, but I guess the cour system didn't allow enough time. I'm glad they decided to end it on this though. I remember Sakuragi said that he hoped Mario would continue to box before he died. I might check out parts of the manga to see how this ends. |

| Marathoned this in 2 days :D. 8/10 from me, there are a few things I really hated(like that Setsuko conclusion............), forced drama at some places(in my opinion) etc etc. Huge plus for that narrator & the music(opening is amazing). Edit:Holy shit, I just saw manga has 235 chapters, does story goes any further then the anime? |

| Nice Episode. Overall a great series , i liked the friendship between them and how Anchan changed them and inspired them, and the OST was good , each character story was good and interesting . I liked both the first and the second half , there was some moments that i very much disliked such as : illogical Anchan Death , Mario arresting , over-dramatic moment with Ishihara and his Sasake ( ep 11-15 ) but later in the series it got back to the good quality it was before ep 11 . precisely i will give it 8.7/10 for now its 9/10 from me also it was pretty enjoyable |
| Honestly, this show was great, with the exception of one thing, and that is...Mario. Everyone became something, while Mario is still sucking Rokurota's dick. He basically lost identity and tried to become Roukurota 2.0 by trying to take his girl, have a similar look and demeanor and even do the boxing. Might as well start calling Roukurota's mother okaa-san too. I knew he was going to be a vague empty character since he wrote his wish on the tree "I just want everyone to be happy" Sure Roukurota told him that he had the boxing talent, but he's only pursuing it to fulfill Roukurota's dream in the end. Everything Mario became was ultimately Roukurota 2.0 Don't get me wrong, i still enjoyed the show and all the characters, but Mario had the least depth IMO. 7/10 for Roukurota 2.0 and ultimately Kamina 2.0 |
