| Personally, my take on the analysis, of this anime is as told in Naota's point of view. Hence, the resultant sequence of plot is highly cynical, yet crudely funny. He has to deal with his brother's insecure and sexually frustrated girlfriend, who is highly indecisive and even hinted to be homeless (skeptical with this still); a childish and unreasonable father who questions his son (worst father ever); and classmates who are just nosey and idiotic - easily irritable and unrefined; last but not least, a random alien from nowhere. I do have to give praises for this anime's lively power (similar to many Gainax's works), however, the themes are still not concrete enough, as far as I see it. 5 more episodes for them to pull out this anime's potential. |

| pretty solid first episode. Very unique, nice soundtrack, seemingly-original plot. This show reminds me of Monogatari. It was a little funny, but I felt it was trying a bit too hard. |

| Decided to watch this since there's a possibility of a remake and to see if this is genuinely good or just nostalgiafags overpraising this series (so far based on this episode it seems it's the latter). The last 6 mins made me not "hate" this episode but I still disliked it 2/5. So far the OST is the only thing I like from this. |

| A lot of random events. Episode is ok, but I can already tell this is going to be another overrated show that too many give undeserving 10/10. LOL at people rating episode 1 10/10 when you don't know a damn thing about the series. Then again, this is the same community that has FMA: listed as #1. |

| That was... weird. The voice actors sound a bit dead inside. yea same I kept thinking the artstyle reminded me of something, and after being done with the episode I realized it's really similiar to Avatar's. |
