| That Beef Stew looks so delicious. Mitsuru is so lucky to try so many variations. Souma asking Erina for help. She is so Tsundere & really into that Shojo manga. LOL Mimasaka & his Souma Image Training. Nice to see a glimpse of Shinomiya. A few familiar judges & Dojima is there. Can't get his Dio voice out of my head. Souma going with Oxtail, but Mimasaka got the same idea as well. Lets see what Souma can do next to take it to the next level. |

| So Soma has challenged Subaru to a Shokugeki and is even nekoing telling him that he'll be making beef stew. Doesn't really matter since Subaru would have figured it out anyway given the hardcore stalker he is. Lol that journalist kid. Nekoing nosy media. Always trying to get a story out of everything and not giving up until they have the story they want. Lol Soma uses him as his taste tester and he eats everything Soma makes saying it's delicious. And then Erina trashes his latest creation. I had almost forgotten that Erina was the god tongue girl whose taste buds were in high demand. Lol she accepted Soma's request on the condition that he lends her the rest of the shoujo manga she was reading from whoever has it. And I kinda expected Soma vs Subaru to be the second semi final match considering it is more high profile than Hayama vs Ryo. This is a battle between Soma and Soma. He's trying to predict what he would predict and get a step ahead of himself. But Subaru literally puts himself in his opponent's shoes and even nekoing acts like him god dammit! How nekoing creepy do you want to be before you're satisfied?! But anyway, guess Subaru will be lying in the flower bed in next week's ending sequence. |
| Wow, it felt like this episode was over so quickly. The build up reminds me more of last season, which is nice. Seeing Takumi sitting alone in the dark was sad... Erina's love for Shoujo manga was pretty cute. If they'd show Erina like that more often in the anime I'd probably like her more. Mimasaka Souma was both creepy & funny. It was cool seeing some characters from last season returning, particularly Kojirou & Hinako. Two new characters as well, which is also cool. I like Sonoka's design. I'm hyped to see how Souma inevitably defeats Subaru. |

| Great episode! In fact, the best one so far in this season and very reminiscent in terms of quality with first season. Finally it feels like equal battle with high stake and great judges are back together with two new girls! I also liked Erina this time, she is very likeable character after all and her manga reading hobby is just nice addition to her character. Didn't like the reporter much though. And Nikumi was also precious with her interactions. The only shame this episode is that all cooking will happen next time (with cliffhanger at the end maybe) so we'll need to wait for the result but I really think this time it would be worth to wait. I just wonder what about the summer OVA episode we have seen in snippet flashback with Erina and Alice, is it out already? |

| What a great episode. One of my favorites so far, though the characters still annoy me a bit overall, Souma was definitely more likeable this episode. The cliffhangers  Are you sure that was 20 minutes? Actually maybe I watched Bananya by mistake... yeah, that must be it! *Goes to rewatch episode*4/5 |

| With his abilities, Mimasaka surely could be the best Sous Chef in the world a restaurant could've ever found. I kinda forget what would happen next even though I read the manga and know who will win, this is a good thing I guess |

| Soooooo here's once again the comparison to the manga, what they adapted/skipped etc. It gets a bit more complicated because they re-arranged a bunch of stuff so it's not really 100% accurate, but overall it's not a problem. They adapted ch. 81-85 this time around. I'm gonna pack the details in a spoiler so it doesn't use up that much space. My personal prediction how the episodes will go (no spoilers other than when the arc presumably ends) |

| Random Nikumi "drama" at the beginning looked stupidly ridiculous, I guess that's how they had to pace it to make room for the episode though Souma could have seriously fucked up Mimasaka if he just decided to do another dish in the last minute... Mima just has some ridiculous deus ex information gathering power that isn't really conceivable. Sonoka's tits though, she's quite the Honoka. |

| DAMN. That was an awesome start :D like HOLY SHIT. just like 30 seconds in the episode xD Interesting judgement of Erina. The last time she tried his food he got a better response even though she didn't admit it was good. This time there was nothing. Just rejection. That's definitely the sign it wasn't good enough. That end though. Now I'm kinda sad. I knew we wouldn't get the full match yet but that was barely anything at all D: The episode was a nice change of pace but I really wanted to see the match >.> Also I can't wait for the decision with that jury xD Inui and Doujima gonna be awesome! :D |

| Beef stew is probably the most common dish Japanese people think of when thinking of western food, aside from the obvious: burgers, fries, pizza, etc. I think almost all countries have their own version of this so I'm not sure what style Souma is aiming for. I don't like eating beef so it'd take a lot for me to eat it, let alone impress me with it. The only beef I eat is in hamburgers, salisbury, thinly-sliced strips in gyudon, in some Korean food like galbi, etc. I don't like steaks or beef stews. Takumi is going to lose. I just know it. I haven't read the manga so I don't know what's going to happen but just judging by his previous battles, I feel like he's losing his touch. He's like the Vegeta of Shokugeki no Souma. Also, I don't get the Nakiri x Souma ship. It grosses me out tbh, they seem like siblings to me. |

| Wow. Pacing a bit slower. Thought they would finish 1 match each episode. And I doubt they will make Hayamas match faster. Shouma finishing next episode and Hayama vs the other guy in Episode 7 then. Finale in episode 8. And 9-12/13 some other plot after the tournament. Or maybe they will make 2 episodes for each semi-fimale. 7-8 for Hayamas match. And more for finale so the tournament will end at the end of this season. (Maybe 1 episode after finishing the tournament.) But then they should bring a 3rd season fast. Can't wait to see more of the plot after the tournament. |
| Series are called Shokugeki no Souma. Souma is the MC and he bets he's not going to cook anymore, it's the 5th episode out of 13... Come on... we all know what's going to happen. I'd love someone to explain me why this series has so much score over some other series. |

| I thought that newspaper club member wanting to be a journalist was strange at first considering they're all in a cooking school. But then I thought that maybe he wanted to be a food critic or food journalist, as there's plenty of food magazines and blogs out there. I suppose to know how to write about food, you need to be able to know how to cook it as well as any chef would. Erina and her shoujo manga was the best part of this episode--no, the series as a whole. Thinking that holding hands is shameless is so innocently cute. |

| Erina acted really cute in this Episode! And the part where Mimasaka just appeared out of nowhere acting like Souma was very creepy. Kind of showed how far he would go just to get his perfect trace, even though it was all in his head. Can't wait for him to get his arse handed to him in the next episode. |

| This feels more like a season 1 episode, probably because it wasn't that focused in the tournament and it was more like Souma deveoloping the dish he will make in this round. Erina is annoying as always, cannot wait for Souma to show how good his dish is. I don't know if the part of Mimasaka imitating Souma was supossed to be hillarious or creepy, but it was really funny. Kinda try hard how they are hyping the food battle when it's obvious Souma is going to win. |
