Hello.

I couldn't see a thread like this but if there is, please forgive me.

So, what are your earliest video game memories?

For me it was playing on the Sega console. Favourite games were Paper Boy, Home Alone, Sonic and Crash Test Dummies.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Spyro on the PS1.

That swamp realm was scary and so were those yellow beasts and armoured spiders in that sky realm.

My earliest memories are of my Vectrex. And you've probably never even seen one.

Those parts are out of Spyro the Dragon. There was a swamp level in YotD though where you had to do an annoying side task of guiding the blind dudes. (I know, I sound like a jerk, but if you've played it, you'll know what I mean).

Good old days of Dark Cloud 2 on the Playstation and VMK on the computer.

Now that's nostalgia.

I guess it's either Tetris on the normal Game Boy or some random arcade game on a console which name and details I can't remember.
The earliest time that could get me somewhat to nostalgia was around the time I got Pokemon Red, "The Legend of Zelda: Link's awakening" and a SNES with Mario Kart.

The earliest memory I have is probably from a game on the NES (yes, NES, not SNES) where you played some kind of ninja or so fighting street gangs or something like that.
You could do cool moves, use Nunchakus and knives. As I remember that was frigging fun to play.
No idea how it was called anymore, though.
Other games include Sonic on Sega of course and Super Mario Cart and Street Fighter on SNES.
Simple times. :D

My earliest memories were from playing my cousin's bootleg 115-in-1 NES cartridge on the NES.

Fits the description but no. I looked it up and it's River City Ransom, no ninjas involved as I had in mind, my bad.
Blurry earliest video game memory, ha.
And there's even a kickstarter for a licensed follow up named River City Ransom: Underground for Windows. So cool finding that out now.
The game is still fun today for me.^^

I remember playing Street Fighter with my cousin and winning every time despite mostly mashing the same buttons. We both sucked though.

Gran Turismo because my older cousin was/is ridiculously obsessed with racing games. Makes sense though, considering he worked at Daytona.

Golden Axe! We still have the Dreamcast and all its games, including that one. I was too into it.

I also had a Pocahontas game on a beat up PC which had no internet. Also something called Adiboo...

I remember playing on my father's PS1.

I used to play Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and Final Fantasy IX, both games scared me to death, I have no idea why...

I used to always get stuck in Alexandria, I only finished it last year, amazing as it seems!

I also finished HP PS1 recently.

First would be playing super mario 64, goldeneye and pokemon blue.

I wish I experienced silent hill 2 and any zelda games though. Later on I got silent hill 2 the remake on xbox 360 and the game is just a masterpiece :o

Later on the gaming experiences that really made me love games would be fallout 3, gta san andreas and def jam fight for NY.

Quite a few actually, Crash Bandicoot 2, Tekken 2 and Mortal Kombat 3. The one that sticks to mind is MK3 and the fatalities. I actually went in the playground as a 5 year old believing i could pull out one of my friends hearts as i'd seen it on MK3.

I'm not sure exactly what my first video game memories were. I know I was playing games BEFORE I can remember, and those games include Doom and Wolfenstein.

As far as memories go, I'd say it would be a game on the NES. It might have been Duck Hunt with the light gun, or maybe Mario, or Super Mario 3. It could have been Battletoads or The Ninja Gaiden, or maybe even Superman.

It was probably Super Mario Bros 3 though. At around the year 1993.
