Well, they made this episode slightly more emotional than the others, especially from Ajisai's point of view. She's becoming somewhat of a breakout characters in these recent episodes.

She finally also confessed to Renako after all this time. Well played. Good to know all the cast got their time in this show, at least the main ones.

Episode 5 sequel announced

Cute and touching finale.

Renako x Ajisai. <3 They definitely would make a great couple. But Renako x Mai sounds awesome too. I'm not sure what I should think about this.

Anyway, this was a highly entertaining yuri harem with a very beautiful cast. I liked how the characters were animated.

Also, the aquarium part was really nice and atmospheric.

I can't wait to watch the sequel. I want a proper conclusion to the story.

Renako and Ajisai are easily the best pairing in this show. No idea how the harem part is supposed to work when they’re clearly the best match. Renako being super possessive without realizing she loves Ajisai is such a Renako thing. Still, I feel bad for Ajisai. It’s painful, people say they give up love for responsibility or a friend, but really it’s fear of rejection. That’s Ajisai here, and I sympathize a lot. Sometimes Renako feels like she’s going too far, but then I remember how she’s acted with others, and yeah, that’s just Renako.

Crazy ending here though lmaooo. Honestly, ofc Ajisai makes sense, she hasn’t hurt Renako, and they’re so compatible. But Renako’s self-esteem issues mean this won’t be the end. As for the anime though, this is the end. It was fine, nothing amazing. I kept expecting more and got let down, but as a weekly popcorn show, it was okay. Not anything I’ll miss I think. Wish this studio would just give us our long awaited Married Couple Season 2 now.

As a yuri lover, it was really nice to see more well-known yuri manga getting anime adaptations. Even better, the anime quality turned out to be really good and surprisingly high.

It’s a little sad that the anime is finished, but since there are still a few manga volumes it didn’t cover, it’s always great to go read those.

Also, Ajisai is the cutest girl ever! TvT

Greatest yuri of all time I’m calling it, Renako was so OP she even broke the yuri one season curse!! Just the perfect finale and the perfect yuri romcom overall to me. Other people favorites struggling to get one confession and kiss in multiple seasons and we got multiple kisses, gfs and confessions in one 🤣yuri is justice. Lot of stuff to go over in this finale so buckle up.

First off, Renako getting all excited and going thru all that prep work for Ajisai to come over, and she’ll still try to say she isn’t gay lmao. Sure thing buddy. Haruna teasing her older sister is always fun to see as well, I wish we would’ve got more screen time with her(forbidden yuricst route)

Ajisai breaking down and crying after Renako’s “If something happens again let me know” is such a cathartic moment because all Ajisai’s wanted this whole time is someone who she can rely on instead of everyone else relying on her as a big sister/de facto mom. Couple of weeks ago, I saw people saying Ajisai’s whole “onee chan” gimmick with Renako was some sexual fetish and for the life of me I couldn’t understand how you’d reach that conclusion when it’s clear she just wants someone to baby her since she’s done it to everyone else. Could she have a fetish for it too? sure, but that wasn’t the intent of that scene to me.

So proud of Ajisai for going up to Mai and straight up telling her how she feels about Renako. That’s such a massive step for her character, she’s always been so passive, putting everyone else’s desires above her own to her own detriment. Even though I complained about Mai showing up on Sena and Renako’s trip, she was the catalyst for so much development for Ajisai, more on that later.

That aquarium date.. going on a date and bonding over y’all being in love with the same person, while falling deeper in love yall selves is CRAZY. Lesbians are so extra lmao. I love it though because it demonstrates how much Mai has grown as well and learned to be a proper friend. That was the big conflict with she and Rena at the start of the series, and while she has room to grow, the way she supported Sena and actually spelled out the difference between romance and friendship today has me filling out a Mai apology form lol. None of this would’ve been possible without her. Redeemed herself. That dress was cute af btw. Diva.

“I’ve always been terrible at taking things from others. You gave me the strength to walk forward. And. Rena chan I love you. Please go out with me.” AND IF I SAID I CRIED?? Renako saying yes right in front of Mai who’s been trying to get in a full blown relationship with her for months is hilarious too, God I love this series

“It’s someone who took my hand and kept me safe, my cute little angel” oh my god I can’t, sena’s too cute. All this time rena looked up to her as a savior and angel and she was that same sort of figure to Sena. Could not ask for a better way to go out and the story is nowhere near done, we ate so good. I’m stuffed lol. Please be sure to support the books if you enjoyed the anime and look forward to that sequel release!! Renako is the goat harem mc.

Somehow i taught Renako would say yet but it seems she was in doubt.
Shame it's already over would be nice to see more.
It's clear things still need to be worked out with Satsuki and Mai and Kaha was pretty mucha sub character.
Right now it does seem like there will be an OVA but will that be able to give us what we wan't.
Also i would like to see a harem ending.

It is sort of funny, this was an episode that made Mai look sweet overall, confident but she still pushed Ajisai to go for it because her not doing it would make Ajisai so sad... only for Renako to just agree right away.

Also these last two episodes giving more time without Renako on screen at all while Ajisai and Mai hashed things out was really interesting, nice to see the relationship between the two of them fleshed out.

So thankful we're getting at least 5 more episodes, and hopefully those do well enough we get a full season sequel after that.
Authentic.

An Aquarium + Yuri classic but it's not the main couple, a beautiful scene regardless. Gotta respect Mai for giving Ajisai the final push she needed to let her real feelings out, I thought it would be funny if Renako responds to her confession though– and she really did lol.

Renako sees Ajisai as her Angel, Ajisai sees Renako as her Angel, they are literally perfect for each other.

So rare for Yuri anime to get a sequel, and thankfully Watanare got one! Even if it's just 5 episodes, Kaho-chan still have her time to shine.

It's the final episode and I just wanna say that I really loved Nakamura Kanna-san's voice acting with Renako.

I honestly did not expect Ajisai to confess her feelings to Renako so fast after she understood them, but she got a little push from Mai (who might be regretting it now).
The friendship moments between Ajisai and Mai were surprisingly cute, even though there is also a clear rivalry between them.
Renako said 'yes' but not sure if we should interpret that as Renako going with the flow as she often does or if she actually want to go out with Ajisai (or -third possibility- she did not actually understood what was going on and just said 'yes' without thinking at all haha), the ending is ambiguous (on purpose I'm sure) on that point.

Overall, it was a super fun and adorable show: perhaps the first true yuri harem show I've seen, there were many entertaining moments, but also a lot of great growth and characterization for most of the girls, which makes it probably one of the most realistic romcoms I've seen in a while.
I liked all the characters and arcs, Satsuki was my favorite girl of the cast.
While it seems that all the girls who had an arc made some progress towards bettering themselves, and in getting closer to Renako, it still feels like anything can happen and it's anyone's guess about who Renako will end up with.
Very good yuri romcom, one of my favorite shows of the season, 8 from me!

One of best yuri anime if not best i saw. I love this ending so much , Renako was never objected to Ajisai company or she hated anything about her. I hope they dont change this. It was so funny to see overconfident Mai get humbled so hard. I mean i love Mai too cuz she and Renako are so different and it feels like its best pairing, but man Ajisai san deserved this win so bad i just love it.

this episode ending was kinda odd, can someone confirm that renako indeed chose Ajisai? She said yes but like, are they an item now? or is it spoilers if someone who has read the source confirms this. (I don't need to know anything beyond this point, only that they are going out right?)

Anyways I can't believe Mai was so sure about herself and just like that... damn. honestly she deserved it.

this anime is hard for me to rate. I like the surprises it gave us but I don't like Mai at all, she has her moments but I can't get over how she was in the beginning. Harem tag wasn't there at the very start so I had no idea what I was going into, but I ended up enjoying it more than I thought, probably cause it was yuri lol

Mai proved that she can also be a decent friend when she needs to 💖💖
Renako without second thoughts agreeing to go out with Ajisai lol
Saw that coming. I know for a fact that she just replied without thinking about anything since it was her angel Ajisai. Mai was really taken back. She must have not anticipated such a quick reply from Renako. Now she must regret helping Ajisai at least a little 😅😅
Glad we're getting a season 2 which never actually happens to these anime. But only just 5 eps. Not so happy about that.. 😭😭
The animation was so good. Studio Mother did their best. I'm gonna miss listening to that banger of an op 'Muri Muri Evolution ' by Nanawo Akari.

61 chapters of the manga fit into 12 episodes, like 3 volumes of light novels, 3 heroines are introduced, all are good, although Satsuki is in first place, but I'm waiting for the continuation, the remaining heroines are no less interesting, this season is a clear 10, especially thanks for the additional 5 episodes, great news that will correct the only drawback, if you can call it that, that not all the heroines got their story arc.

This story really is one of those you have to turn your brain off to watch

On one hand it is kind of entertaining, but if you actually start to rationalize what the characters are doing it just becomes absolutely ridiculous

There are some genuine moments of quality every here and there, but every time it looks like it's about to do something good, it somehow finds a way to drop the ball anyway

It's just so frustrating to follow. The writing is awful, but at least it's not boring so it's somehow still watchable

Yay, best girl wins!

... is what I'd *like* to say, but with the way Rena is, she'll likely backtrack. Girl, trust your first instinct.

Still, that was cool of Mai to encourage Ajisai, even as a rival (even if she did get that overconfident dig in). I wonder if this will turn into a canon harem rather than just a tease.

They've already announced a follow-up (if not a true sequel) so I guess we'll see later. It's an odd choice though, why a movie and not just a second cour?

Well firstly I'll say even if its just 5 episodes Im surprised the anime is getting a season 2. Pretty sure this is the second GL ever to get a season 2.

To talk about the entire show I think its a very good romance/GL however their are way better GL anime out there. Idk how this compares to the source material (The light novel not the manga) but regardless I think its a very good show.

The biggest positive of this show was the characters and imo the biggest negative was pushing Mai to the side during the second half and the lack of Kaho. I get why Mai had to be pushed to the side for the sake of Satsuki and Ajisai's character arcs but man my selfish ahh wanted more moments between just Rena and Mai and the obvious elephant in the room and worst part about this show was Kaho's lack of screentime. Like holy hell she practically don't exist.

The ending was very Rena based, don't think just kinda speak or act kinda on impulse. While I havent read the LN I am aware of her current relations with the girls and Im generally happy with how its going rn in the LN.

But yeah the biggest positive was the characters particularly Mai and Rena. I'll refrain from talking about Kaho, Satsuki was a generally good side character not too interesting but fun to watch. Ajisai I understand completely why she seemingly is the fan favourite she's a really good character she's your typical cutesy pure and shy anime girl just idk she's a little more lovable than the average one. Rena is honestly an amazing mc, she's stupid af but a really good take on a introverted character they delve fairly deeply into her own inner thoughts and she's actually handled really well.

However Mai was the best part of this anime and its not even remotely close, she is a very unique spin on your average romance mc. She is bold, confident and very mature. Most anime romance girls follow that usual trope that they kinda shoved on Ajisai but Mai completely subverts that and gives a way bolder spin which actually makes her a lot more realistic than most romance characters. Plus it made her relationship with Rena actually feel realistic.

But I don't really have much to say other than that, looking forward to season two.

if you want my opinion as a anime only who knows the current state of Rena's relationship in the light novel I'll leave it below

But yeah great anime low 9/10

Wait did Renako just accept Ajisai's feelings? I'm assuming she did based off of Mai's reaction. They better not try to backtrack and say it was a misunderstanding because honestly Renako and Ajisai are the best for each other and it seems like there's mutual interest and affection for each other. They aren't toxic towards one another and seem to admire each other, even in their own thoughts. Renako literally got excited that Ajisai was coming over. She hasn't shown that much interest in any other character

I really hate Renako now!!! at least she should give Sena the same treatment. Mai had to struggle to chase Renako and ended up being left hanging but when Sena confessed her feelings she easily said yes. I'm not talking about who is better but at least here Renako should prioritize Mai's answer first. why? Because Mai was the one who confessed her feelings for Renako first. in the process Mai did often act out of line but that's no reason for Renako to show favoritism to Sena like that. Seriously, I really want to go in there and beat Renako to a pulp!! (sorry if my English bad)

Yo what?? Unexpected much??!! Not Ajisai confessing to Renako... but Renako, with little hesitation, AND IN FRONT OF MAI, saying "OKAY, BET!" ???!!! No freaking way. Respect all around.

Maybe this would've happened with or without Mai's help, but Mai definitely sped up the process. Bro was like Ajisai's mom in this episode. Mai also made the right choice in the phonecall with Renako, not revealing what exactly got Ajisai down in the dumps; wanting Renako not to intervene but to rather let Ajisai figure it out for herself. Although she did give the massive hint that it did concern Renako, and honestly that's low-key some disrespect coming from Mai if she thought Renako wasn't smart enough to put two-and-two together after that. But it's okay, it doesn't matter, because in literally the same day, Mai invites Ajisai to challenge her. But that really wasn't the most important part of their talk in the aquarium. The important thing is that Mai knew that Ajisai had to stand up for herself more, and did what she had to do to let Ajisai unlock that part of herself.

Not bad. At times thought the amount drama was unnecessary, and that it would maybe be better tone it back a bit, or even have the romance aspect removed altogether and have them all just be good friends enjoying day-to-day life like in a typical SoL (that or go all out and make it a foursome. Or a just a threesome, since Renako might prefer to stick to her f*cking video games). But nah, this episode changed my mind and was a good one to end the season off on, making you think good of all the characters. No Satsuki sightings for a while, but at least we got major character development for Ajisai, with a little help from Mai, topped off with a cherry from Renako, who answered not with a "no", not a "maybe", but a resounding "yes". Mai's instant reaction to that was the best part. Guess she wasn't expecting an actual challenge. Heck not even a challenge, dude straight up got defeated!

Pretty much never watch yaoi/yuri. But this one looked fun so went to check it out, and it paid off.

LOL Ajisai asks Rena out and she barely hesitates before agreeing and Mai is like- wait... just like that?!

I've quite enjoyed this yuri romance. The visuals were nice, though I can't say the same for the animation. Too many scenes where the girls were animated on a still background for me to ignore that. Still (ha!) I am looking forward to the next season.
