Yeah, it's ntr. Not the part with the MC when he kissed her and she kissed him back after slapping him first, but the fact that she's already in love with another dude who's actually married!

So it gave me the jealousy feelings, I felt betrayed and messed up the way this relations are going to progress!

To be honest, I wouldn't mind very much borderline rape just in one case: if it's between the MC and the girl he loves, and if there's no cheating with a third party.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you to make sure I'm not misleading you. ^^
ShaDanDan Jan 30, 2019 12:06 AM
Yeah, but I'm still a bit curios. I can't deny that the story seems interesting and the writing is good, but the only problem is the.... alright I'd like to spoil you about one thing to make sure if you are OK with that or not, if you don't wanna be spoiled just ignore it.

The thing is, the girl that the MC loves is having an affair with someone who's married!
She loves him and she's cheating with him on his wife, but the MC who's now her brother after their parents married, he's so jealous.. he kissed her forcefully.. she slapped him and then kissed him again, pushed him to the bed.. then they stopped. Things will get more complex from now on.
And of course as you know from the synopsis there's also the other girl who slept with him (then became his new sister).

Besides that potential triangle which you might be OK with as you told me before, does the cheating part sound OK to you?
ShaDanDan Jan 28, 2019 7:07 PM
By the way, I watched few scenes of the third episode of Domestic na kanojo.. it was disgusting.
I'm not sure if I can make it to the end now!
Chowkko Jan 28, 2019 4:18 PM
Ha, I know that feel...! Well, you did begin with the best (imo) after all, so yeah, that can come up as kind of complicated to find something as appealing for a while. I see that you've checked mostly romances and/or slice of life (at least, for what I know!)... Maybe try another genre ? You may find some amazing anime in other genres too ! Unless you want to stick to one genre, which I can understand completely ^^ (I am hopelessly stuck in a few genres.)

I'm not sure if the two authors are a couple in real life, but they do met online, via a forum named Le Forum Dessiné, in which you can only answer by... drawing. Lou Lubie (one of the two authors) actually created the forum !
I'm really glad you picked it up !! It's been such a "coup de coeur" for this book. At first I noticed it just because of its LGBT themes and I was really blown away !! I've re-read it quite a few times since then. Tell me all about it once you've read it ! I hope you didn't pay too much shipping fees, though...
As for good LGBT comics in France... I'm not quite sure. To be honest, I've started picking up LGBT comics only recently, outside of mangas. But I know that recently, a comics named Le Dernier des étés (Amazon url this time !) have been released and I'm really eager to read it !
And yeah, I do have two Amazon account too, because I used to buy english versions of the Umineko no Naku Koro ni manga, which is one of my favorite series ever (it is a game, originally !). But since I've started working in bookshops, I really avoid Amazon now. Though it really comes handy when you can't get a book anywhere !

Before dwelling on anything else, do you have a RSS extension on the browser you use (if on computer) ? Because I use that to be informed of every chapter I read online. Not every scan-hosting websites have RSS links to get you informed, but it happens that our yuri lord and savior Dynasty-Scans do. The best way to keep on date with your favorite series!
... And so yeah, Nettaigyo seems pretty slow on the update. I'm not sure about how slow it actually is, because I just picked it up recently too, but I hope it isn't two months like Citrus was ;_; Yagate comes once a month. The next update will be here very soon !
I loved the Tokyo chapter too ! But the one I really liked was the one where the sempai is sick and the kouhai has to do the fish show alone. (I can't seem to remember their names yet ><). I find the sempai really cute !!
And ah... Tatoe Todokanu Ito da toshitemo... I actually stumbled upon it this summer while I was in Paris, a Japanese version though. At first I thought it was something kinda incest-ish, but I noted down the name in case. And recently, after reading Nakatani's interview, I regretted not buying it ! (It was so cheap !!). I went back to the shop last week when I went to Paris, but alas, it had been bought already ;_; I'm gonna start reading the scans very soon though !

Ow, I'm sorry to read that. I don't know if it will come as much support from a stranger on the internet, but I do hope you'll get better. I'm glad that you seem to keep a positive mind, at least. I hope that reading cool stuff will bring you joy !! If you wanna talk or anything, feel free to message me even in private ! (though it sure do seem like I'm intrusive, saying that...)

Yep, temporary contract, unfortunately. It kinda sucks because I was here to take someone's place (that someone quit a few months ago) but then they told me that they may not have enough profit to keep me... All my collegues were furious because me being gone = them having much more work, and they liked me too lol. They actually stopped working in my department so that the upper-ups would understand that they need someone to work there, but it didn't really worked, unfortunately. But hey, according to out president, you only have to cross the street to find a job. ... <_<
Finding a job in Sweden sounds harsh, too ! O_o I guess it's hard everywhere, now...
Haha, I've written like 7 pages and I'm not even done. I've been on it for a month now...! @_@ but I've written like 75% of what I wanted so I will send it to you right when I've finished it, don't worry :D
Haa, that sounds so nice, to be honest... But I don't really know. I might find a new job soon so in the midwhile, I'm gonna read and watch all I can !!

Thank you very much! ;u; and Ganbatte you to you too. I'm sending you positive vibes about books and chocolate and books made out of chocolate !!
Chowkko Jan 27, 2019 8:52 AM
And here I am again after two weeks...! I'm such a bad internet penpal.

Oooh damn ! I hope you're feeling better now. ... Well, since it's been 20 days, I sure DO hope you're feeling better !
Customers weren't really a big deal in returning books, surprisingly ! ... But now I don't work where I worked anymore, unfortunately... They couldn't keep me after the holidays. :( I may find a new job in a similar bookstore soon, though !

Oh yeah ! I understand better now :') yeah, we sure do seem to hate authority lol, going all gilet jaune and stuff !
Yeah, I've heard about it too. It seems Jeanne Calment lied about her age and that the woman we thought was Jeanne Calment was in fact the daughter of the real Jeanne Calment ! And since she stole her identity, she stole her birthday, too. But I'm not too sure if it's real or not ? I thought about you when I heard that, but don't lose faith in chocolate's power !!!

Ikuhara is a series director, similar to Miyazaki or Shinkai in the role he holds. He is here to give ideas, to structure the work, to direct the scenes. In his case, he works from studio to studio because he has a bad reputation of doing kind of whatever he wants ^^ (Miyazaki has kind of the same reputation, too !) He went from Toei Animation to JC Staff to Brain's Base to Silver Link to Mappa..! Not many can handle him, lol. Several directors are bound to a studio, though, like Tatsuya Ishihara, whom 90% of the works are produced by Kyoto Animation. But most of the directors seems to go to a studio that appeal to their stories, or that can produce their works. I guess it really depends on whether the director ADAPTS a story (as in Ishihara's case) or CREATES a story (as in Ikuhara's case).
Because he was the writer of most of the series he directed, excluding Sailor Moon (even though he heavily adapted it in his own way). I like him as a writer as well as a director. His themes are always close to what I feel and he directs his stories with many metaphors and original views. He's the kind of guys whose work you can actually spot in an anime. And that's part of why I like him so much ! His stories hold so many differents meanings, but always speak to me.
Congrats on the name droppings, though ! I'm glad you've keeping up with all of this ^^

I'm glad you liked it ! Yeah, there were a few things I got problems too, but I spent most of my time crying ^^ Is there an episode you liked better ? I really liked the one with the theater play, though I cried so much !
I think Garden of Words is prettier, but yeah the budget isn't the same ! ^^ but for a tv series (well, Netflix-ish? series), it's just plain awesome. I really think that no one can go close to KyoAni in terms of visuals in tv series.

I'm glad I'm not the only one re-reading my favorite chapters ! ^^
Adding another episode is hard, because anime producers actually have to buy timeslots for animes to be broadcasted. Some studios can buy more of episodes because producers know it will sell. But some studios make a "bet", so producers don't dare to buy too many timeslots. Also, in most of the cases, animes with 12-13 episodes are just promotional animes for the manga. And since timeslots usually go by seasons (12-13/24-26 episodes), it's difficult to have more episodes for seasonal formats, unless the original series is over and can't be adapted in just 13 episodes. You just go with special episodes, released on blu-rays for that.
But YES, do I wanted to see the play adapted !! Though when I re-read it, I realized that you would have to cut too much of the story and that would have been a waste, too. But if the blu-rays sell well, there are chances that we get another season once the manga is finished, since the author said that the whole manga would fit in a two-court anime, so within two seasons.
I have kind of mixed feelings with the anime ending though, because on the one hand it was really well realised and showed a key-part of the play rehearsed, and it had a feeling of hope and love between Yuu and Touko, and the last scene was so much more bittersweet in the manga. On the other hand, that hope will be cruelly crushed if there is another season... T_T

I don't know who to root for !! I want Sayaka to be happy !! I want Yuu to be happy !! They deserve better ! T_T
I guess Sayaka confessed because she saw how much Touko changed through the play and how much more she's willing to accept other's love now. Ironically, yes, since she ran away from Yuu (I'M STILL SO SAD ABOUT THIS). But since she think (a little?) that Yuu is no longer special to her because she has other places too... I'm worried she will accept Sayaka's proposition and that it will ruin her. Cause she didn't seem like she was willing to say no to Sayaka after she talked to her. I guess that if they end up going out (!) it will be Sayaka that will push Touko to be with Yuu again. Or maybe I'm overanalyzing it !
I love Riko and Miyako so much ! And they seem to be pretty popular, and I guess that's also why Nakatani spends so much time with them too. They're the true love of this series ;_;

I was angry with Touko at the begining, then I let it slide when we learned about her background, but now I don't know what to think. She's so egoistical, but she's so human it hurts. I want them to be happy, but I guess part of Touko being with Yuu came from the fact that Touko was such a mess, and now that she's growing up...
It pains me so much to see Yuu like this after she had finally found love, and that she's still doubting whether or not she really love(d) Touko ;_;

I really loved the confession chapter, even though it pains me so. I loved that it was so tragical. I was really so much well done, you wouldn't have thought that it would create such a misunderstanding in such a realistic way. My love for Yagate is never fading ! Even with this turn of events, I'm not disappointed. It would be a lot less realistic and hold a lot less power if things just went easy, wouldn't it? ^^
Also, I'm writing a big-ass review of Yagate (anime) in french. If you feel brave, I can send it to you once I finish it !

YES I want to read it so much !!! Also, I found a super interesting article about the Light Novel too, and it explains something about the title that blown my mind !!
A Light Novel is a type of Japanese novel that is, most of the time, the size of a manga (hence the "light"), and has illustrations, is frequently published and is not considered as... how to say... "real" literature ? Not much, but since the primary target is teenagers and since it is close to mangas, well. There are also many contests to publish them. But, for example, the Monogatari Series IS a light novel series while being REALLY BIG and full of obscure kanjis. So the term is vast. Think of it as anime-ish novels..? :'D

I liked it quite a lot ! It's so cute. But yeah, I get what you say when you say it's fast: fast in feelings, but slow in actions ! But it's a breath of fresh air and I really like the art which is close to Koe no Katachi :)
Oh ! It's so cool that you liked aquariums. What aquariums did you visit ? Do you like one in particular ? ^^
Haha ..! It's kinda embarassing, but I've bought an electric guitar because of K-On, though I was already interested in it before. I've never gotten to be good with it, unfortunately..!
I've recently gained an interest in Kyudo because of Tsurune but it didn't last long, haha. I have a friend that had tried many sports because of anime !
But I guess anime mostly reinforces my inspiration to draw ! ^^ Also I want to visit places because of it, like the ones featured in Steins;Gate. I love this anime so much.

Oh ! Oh ! By the way, you just have to read this interview of Nakatani and her publisher. https://pastebin.com/mv1p5Dja
It's VERY interesting, and speaks so much about the author and it's so heart-lifting. Also, she recommends a few yuri manga !! I have yet to check them all though !

Haha, I'm going all pavé-ish too so don't worry about that ! ^^ I really like reading and replying to your pavés ! (even though I take weeks...)
Lately I've watched Zombieland Saga which was surprisingly awesome, and I've read a French comic named La Fille dans l'Ecran which whom I fell in love. The format is original and the story is pure awesome. It's drawn by two girls, so one page = one author = one of the two characters ! It's so clever !
What about you ? ^^

Bonne semaine ! ^^
ShaDanDan Jan 18, 2019 4:38 PM
You too, fam! o tanoshimi kudasai! I guess I'm getting better in Japanese, although I'm seeking help here and there. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

If you mean by "lgbt" a TRAP character, I don't remember any in the shows we talked about.
ShaDanDan Jan 18, 2019 12:51 PM
When I first watched School Days, it left me with horrible empty feelings for few days. It's super messed up if you want the conclusion, however there's one thing about it: it teaches you a tough real life lesson!

Toradora is good for me, and more than good for other people.. it has the triangles drama but it's alright, I guess.
It's not similar to Clannad tho, Clannad is something else. By the way, it has 2 seasons.. the second one is called "Clannad After Story", I'd recommend that you keep watching it to the end no matter what happens midway!

Looks like I'm going to keep following Domestic na kanojo, however I'm not going to dive deep into it. I'll just rush throughout each episode to get the conclusion. Therefore, leave it to me! I'll tell you when I finish it if it's worth watching. lol
Black_Sheep97 Jan 18, 2019 11:36 AM
Cause bunny girl are univeral
ShaDanDan Jan 18, 2019 10:39 AM
By the way, I just watched the 2nd episode of Domestic na kanojo.. just jumped throughout the episode to see what's happening out of curiosity. As expected, I don't think it's my type.. it already gave me the ntr feelings today, but still I'm really curios to see what's gonna happen.

If you want my advice now, you can watch these 2 episodes and then decide to continue or to drop it, they might give you a proper idea about this show.
ShaDanDan Jan 18, 2019 9:53 AM
While you keep watching anime one after another, you develop a special detailed taste for your own self.

I've watched some complicated drama anime in the past. I watched School Days (depression at its finest), Lovely Complex, Chobits, Love Hina, Golden Time, Freezing, Netsuzou trap, Citrus, Darling in the Franxx, Accel World.. etc.
Those previous examples are the annoying uncomfortable type of drama because of whether ntr or too much complexity and misunderstandings that's handled in a stupid way!

However, I'd enjoy a good complex drama that has a decent story (without ntr of course), I'll give you an example:
Clannad is a complex romance story that has drama and sad moments, it even made me cry several times.. but its damn good, it's amazing, it's well-written and thank God there's no ntr.

I don't really understand ntr fans, but it's just normal for us to hate ntr.. sometimes you'd find many people raging over a ntr scene as if it's real life!
That's how much people hate ntr, I think we are normal. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
NTR fanbase probably enjoys jealousy.. or maybe enjoys feeling cheated on! Whoa! I get chills when I think about it!
Black_Sheep97 Jan 18, 2019 8:40 AM
Yeah I agree , it's just that I have problem with people you pass off their personal taste and personal connection to the show as objective critique and refuse to acknowledge the alternative as being valid, you didn't seem like that kind of person so btw have you seen bunny girl if yes what did you think of it?
ShaDanDan Jan 18, 2019 7:54 AM
Please excuse me if I can't explain this well since it's based on how much spoilers I've read, not the whole story.

Yes based on the amount of spoilers I've got myself into, I found it enjoyable for those who are ok with ntr and love triangles complex drama.
If you don't mind being spoiled, just tell me and I'll tell you what's gonna happen.. or just search for it for yourself. :)

By the way, how do you personally define NTR?
Some people define it just as the concept itself "stealing the MC's girl".. they say it's NTR only if the MC is in relationship with the girl, but for me it's the JEALOUSY feelings you get when you see the girl the MC loves has a relationship with someone else.. when you feel betrayed even if the MC isn't in a relationship with her but he just loves her.

Side note: sometimes, when the author makes them both so close, so kind and so nice to each other throughout the whole show they help each other they care a lot about each other, but at the end the author makes the girl marry or love someone else 'cause guess what? The author didn't say they're in a love relationship, they're just close friends.. but you the viewer was tricked to believe they will end up together based on the huge amount of sweet heartwarming moments between them both!
So logically it's not NTR, but practically you felt betrayed.. you felt really jealous!
So I think this is also NTR, because it gives you the jealousy uncomfortable feelings.. it's not just about the logical definition of the ntr concept itself!
So what do you think about this? I'm sorry I have to talk too much, I just like discussing such things with others. :)

About Kozu no honkai, I didn't watch the whole anime, I watched a lot of scenes and I read a lot about it and I got the idea. It's love triangles with everyone cheating on the other one so many times that they really became scumbags!
I surely can't handle such story.
ShaDanDan Jan 17, 2019 4:37 PM
Yeah, I still think the same way. However, I watched few scenes from the first episode 'cause I was curios, it just confirmed what I thought.
By the way, without spoiling anything, I further read some details about what happened later in the manga.. it just further confirmed our concerns even though it has its strong sides.

You may assume it's the type we can't handle, but it's good in its self.. if you get what I mean. :)
Black_Sheep97 Jan 17, 2019 3:25 PM
Haha it's so ironic we were just having an argument over realism and this turned you off because it was too realistic. To each his own I guess , I can't relate cause I enjoyed all the cast members and it's rare for me to like the supporting cast that much especially in a room com.
Black_Sheep97 Jan 17, 2019 2:32 PM
